UPDATED: WDW Christmas Parade taping..da..da..da..daaa (Nov 9 through 13: See POST 80 and 115)

I love the Houghs, would love to see them in the park! Not to mention Kelly Clarkson! The rest I can do without. LOL Can't wait, bring on Jersey Week!

Is there a schedule out that shows where they will be taping on which days? More or less trying to avoid it.

Well, I believe the night tapings will be for the two night TV specials.

MK on the 11th will probably be the Houghs and whatever big production leads off the Christmas morning show. @yulilin3 and I are predicting a big dance number because, you know, it is the Houghs. ;)

Derek Hough was in the DL 60th show and all the taping for that was done at night because it was aired at night. The same should hold true for these TV specials.

This is so cool! hopefully we will catch some of it! DD8 would go crazy to see the Houghs or any of them from the Descendents :) she's a dancer and just found out her one jazz dance is to Rotten to the Core. Talk about an excited little girl! We have park hoppers so hoping we can maybe work in to try and catch a little something.

Thanks for the update. Now to decide which day my daughter will be sick and make the drive over to Disney. She would like to see the Descendants cast/Sofia Carson. I would love to see Derek and Julianne. We saw them 9 years ago for a parade taping and on their live tour. Love them.

Keep the info coming. We live about 2 hours away but can't miss 3 days of school.

Well I was kind of hoping that there would be no-names (IMO) filming this thing so I could just try to ignore it as much as possible while there, but I would LOVE to see Garth and Trisha and Kelly Clarkson!

EXACTLY why I wish I could be there!

For those if us who haven't been through this before .... a couple questions.
For the musical acts, do we mere mortals have any chance of seeing it? Looks like it's unknown who will be at wdw and who at dl but is it announced at sone point and available to park goers? Assume this is for taping so daytime hours in mk and not for shows at night?

1. Yes. Walk-up guests can see the taping.
(Some of them can sometimes be made a part of the on-camera audience members.)
2. Not announced to park guests, but the info will be posted on this board and other fan sites.
3. In most cases, yes.

Where are they doing all this filming at Hollywood?
DHS? Probably the Center Stage area

MK has a night taping on the 9th.

The article that is linked states the celebrities will be on Cinderella's stage so that could be taped at night.

The Christmas Day show portions will be taped during the day. There are all day rehearsals scheduled in a rehearsal building on Thursday, the 10th, leading up to the taping on the 11th for character performers.

For those wondering if they can be part of the taping, the answer is, it depends
Depends if there's space that the production needs to fill. Most cm will get 6 tickets, they invite family and friends for a free day at the park, they are supposed to stay for the duration of the shoot but some just leave to go do the park after 30 minutes. So space opens up
The best bet to be on camera is to wear bright colors, no non disney logo clothes (that you can see on a shirt, like aeropostale logo and such) Christmas stuff helps.

This makes me sad if true
