I really like the idea that you are not competing against others, but your own score. I for one hate that fact that playing fireworks with my friends (all of whom I will admit are better than me in FW), means I am out by the 3rd round at best.

It sounds like it is not changed TOO much, but maybe levelling the "credits" field. As with everything else, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think I like the sound of this remix. Namely because it sounds like something that would make my computer go completely psycho, thus eliminating the only way I make credits in VMK aside from NPCs and music mixes. The new version of pirates makes my computer freeze too much, so I'm no good at that. I'm not good enough at Jungle Cruise to get a top score. I never play Haunted Mansion unless I have to. It worked fine the first couple months, then it was a nightmare. I was in tears the day of the purple baseball hat quest in May; I spent over 4 hours straight playing just to get 50 ghosts. My character goes the opposite direction of where she should, it freezes all the time... usually I'm lucky to get 20 ghosts.

Guess I should play fireworks more than usual this week both to build up my credits and to keep trying for green car magic. I've come as close as about 278,600, but still no luck. Once the new remix comes, I'm afraid I might never get 280,000. I wish they would just change the rewards system and leave the rest of it alone. I like fireworks as it is; been my favorite part of VMK since I first joined.

Well, for those who do not like the idea of a new and improved fireworks, all I can say is this. those of us that cannot get past level 3 like the idea.

and mind you, I am no slouch at fireworks, before the "280s" took it over, I could consistently get about 220k, now I dont even have a chance.
I love the idea of a revamp, maybe I will actually bother to play it now.

Personally, I can get to level 5 every time, and get 260K-270K when I'm really trying, and I'm still completely excited about this. My only worry is the credits- will they go down for us?

I'm kind of worried about the new fireworks, it looks really complicated. So I've been trying to save up credits from the current one just in case I suck at the new one, and something awesome comes out before I can figure it out. Right now I'm getting 240k+ every game though, so hopefully it won't hurt me.

I mostly care about the scoring system. I figure I can adapt to the other changes. I just want the scoring system to be fair to all who play.

Oh God I do hope they don't reward Trash Magic, uh I mean "Single Use" Magic as a reward. They already give permanent magic for every 10 games won over 240k. That's good enough.

I do hope the fix it so 1st place doesn't get shafted on credits. But then again, I've grown kind of fond of playing for the Stop. It's a challenge and I like the way it puts you up against the other four players. There's always that moment when I have 240,070 points and I'm waiting to see the other players' scores hoping I got low enough. Heh. The antica-... Say it! ...-pation has become a fun thing to go through.

As for the rest of it? Some things sound good, but most of it sound like needless flourish that's only going to bog the game down the way the new Pirates has been turned into a lagfest. I'll wait until I see it to pass final judgement.

Well I am disappointed that it wasn't JC that was revamped...maybe that will be nexted!

I just hope that they give you credits just for playing the game!
The way it is now you have to get to a certain level to get anything at all for playing. So if you didn't reach the 3rd level you didn't get anything for your time!! Which I think was unfair. I can't play it but my husband after long hard work can. He can get to 200 but has never been able to get to 240 yet. But I hope it will allow us to get some credits for what ever you get? It sounds like we should something for what ever you get ..I hope so but we'll just have to wait and see???

What? Not enough for you? Then how about the first ever screen of the new Monorail Music Mixer? Main Street is no longer the only place to create the ultimate music jam, now you can hop the Monorail and create a cool mix with all new sounds. The Monorail will still take you around the Kingdom, but why not dance while you ride? The Music Mixer works the same way as the one on Main Street but the sounds are completely different, also note that you can't mix your mixes together (say that 10 times fast), since the mixers are totally separate.

This Land is your Land

You've probably heard about the new Land coming to VMK by now and like you, I'm excited about the new addition. But before the Welcome Wagon gets here, let me set up this ribbon cutting - the new Land, while very cool and a welcome addition, will be our smallest Land yet.

Now hold on a sec (I hear a collective sigh over the internet), let me explain - before I do, remember in VMK, everything is not always what is seems (for instance, just because the map looks small does not mean the Land is small). In fact, our new Ticketing System was in part designed for a specific location that won't even be on the new land map. ;-) We create locations exclusively for the purpose of enhancing the existing game - as I've said before, we don't want to add rooms just for the sake of adding rooms. So once you've gotten in there and played around, it will make more sense. (Even the new Land's NPC does something totally new - just say the magic "code" word and you might see some magic...)

Finally, as we head into 2007, we feel we've made some pretty significant enhancements to the game - VMK Pass, Tickets, Fireworks Remix, Monorail Music Mixer and the new Land - we hope you agree and like all the cool updates we're doing. But hey! That's just the in-game stuff! I can't wait to show you our next Park Quest as well as roll out the revised Park Reward Plan! Until then, enjoy the holiday decorations, they won't be around much longer... And a quick question for you before I go - anybody up for an Epcot Guest Room?
