Mary, Chris and Marsha and everyone else we will miss you guys I understand how busy of a time of the year it is and of course the distance involved too. One good thing is we will all meet up in December I Think I may see Chris and family before that though, within a couple weeks
I received mine, too! Thanks, Pat. I'm pretty sure we'll be chipping in and if I have time, I'll bring some cookie bars or brownies, if that's ok. They should travel pretty well. (I hope)
mmmmmmmm cookie bar? What kind? I love sweets...ok this is getting interesting. Patrick knows what I am bringing and I am going to have to duke it out with him over it. He might be wearing it over the head before I am through with him.
Glo, it's a recipe I got from my MIL. She calls them Hello Dolly bars. (I have NO clue why) But I've seen basically the same thing called 6 or 7 (depending on what's in them) layer bars. It's graham cracker crumbs, choc chips, coconut, walnuts, & condensed milk all layered and baked. They're a huge hit here and they rarely last more than a day or two! If I make one pan for the picnic, I know I'll have to make one pan to stay home!
It will all depend on how much work needs to be done once we get home from WDW on that Saturday before. I'll have Sunday-Thursday to get caught up with book work and laundry and then have to repack for this trip!! Now isn't this fun?!?!!
I need to warn you all about Bill. He was on his best behavior during our last trip to Chicago. But he really let loose while we were at Cedar Point. (thanks, John!) He managed to put his foot in his mouth BIG TIME at the picnic. Just remember, I warned you.
What ever are you talking about Barb? I took sweet and innocent lessons from Glo. I couldn't possibly have been responsible for Bill's actions over Memorial Day.
