By the time that we had finished doing this it was around 3pm and we had reservations for the earliest Candlelight Processional seating and we wanted to make sure that we were able to get a good seat. So we went and got in the line and already at this time there were probably about 30 people in front of us. We were very happy to have made the reservations thought because the standby line was absolutely ridiculously long. We took turns waiting in the line while others went and sat down or got a drink. During our wait in line our mom made a friend (something that always seems to happen when she is given the opportunity to talk), and they did the normal, where are you from, where are you staying, how many times have you been to Disney chit chat. I am not sure exactly what time they finally let us in to be seated, but we were all very happy.
We ended up getting a really good seat probably 4 rows back and almost center. This was one of the highlights of our trip. At times it seemed to be a little slow moving, but that could be because we are young. It was still nice to see Jesus (aka Jim Caviezel) tell THE Christmas Story. He seemed to be very into it often smiling, clapping, singing along and moving to the music.
Candlelight Processional
After we left the Candlelight Processional we had a priority seating at Biergarten. After fighting through the crowd (we seemed to be walking against all of the people) we had about a 10 minute wait before we were seated. After being seated and placing our drink orders we could not help but notice how crowded the restaurant was, there was a short line at either end of the buffet, which could be expected because after all it was Christmas Eve. We had eaten here during our summer trip and it was not crowded at all. After waiting in the line at the buffet we were a little disappointed to see how sparse some of the offerings were. They had all of the things that we remembered from the summer, but the trays were almost empty. Our grandfather loves eating here and ate almost everything that they had to offer, but on the other hand some of us were a tad bit more picky. There was one member of our family who primarily had a dinner that consisted of rolls (*cough*Denise*cough*). That was something that could be expected though seeing she is a picky eater no matter where you take her.
Biergarten
Once we had finished eating we decided to split up our grandparents and aunt headed one way, parents another and us three kids on our own. We kids wanted to stop in all the countries that we had missed to get the remaining Kidcot pieces. Another first for us came when we ventured into Canada in search of a bathroom and the Kidcot station. In all the years that we have been going to Disney, Canada was always a country that we just walked right past. We were amazed to see how pretty it was and how much more there was to the pavilion that you cant see from just walking by. We were even more amazed to see Niagara Falls as we called it. On a side note we never found a bathroom in Canada, not sure why exactly I think we just gave up looking. It was getting to be time for the Illuminations and we headed on to the United Kingdom where our parents had secured a bench. While our parents sat and waited we went down in the back area to see the end of Father Christmass presentation and get a few pictures. After returning to the secured bench we decided to head back to the room. It had been a long day we had been at EPCOT since before it opened, after all it was Christmas Eve and we still had a few presents waiting under our tree for us to open.
Father Christmas
Once we returned back to the room, there were a few small presents around the tree (seeing the Disney Christmas trip was our present). Before we had left to go Denise had called down to Disney to purchase gift cards for everyone. So we kids gave everyone a gift card so they could use it to purchase whatever they would like. Our grandparents gave money. Our mom and dad gave each of us kids something that we had seen while on our trip, Denise received gloves and a matching scarf, Ally a necklace that she saw in Norway and still wears everyday, and Nick got more pins to add to his Disney pin collection. After our present opening fest we all tried to relax and get some sleep as we were waking up extremely early on Christmas Day to go to the Magic Kingdom.
