This is my plan once the website works again! I also noticed I have reached the max records on my Stitch GC (and probably most of my other GCs). I have about 15 physical GCs from ShopDisney direct. I just HATE how they have the sticky scratch off area now. I was so excited for the 100th design until I saw that silver strip.
I got one of the 100th design from Sam's and it was paper. I usually get my speciallity from ShopDisney when I can stack a chase or U.S. Bank offer on it. I wonder if they are switching all of these cards to the cheap paper/cardboard ones.

Ugh...good thing I've been stocking up on those discounted GCs. Not quite happy with the latest Genie+news. :sad2:
Ugh is right!! I had my sweet spots down and I’m absolutely a park hopper so interested to see how it all pans out. If we’re talking an extra $3-$5 for multi park I’ll probably be annoyed and still do it. But I have a feeling this is going to be a $15/$25 option and that is just rough

I’m sorry not to look back bc I haven’t kept up with posts in a while but what is the best Sams club Disney GC to get? I’m thinking of going to the physical store for the first time soon while the Discover card still has the 5% promo. Is physical better? Electronic? Denomination? Thank you so much!
This is what is available at my local Sam’s Club. All this is before the Discover card 5% promo. Hope this helps!!

I don't know if you saw the post in the theme parks forum but they are saying base price for multi-park genie+ will be $27. MK Genie+ is also $27.

Yea it is crazy that it is the same price. What is the incentive to buying just MK even if you don't have an AP or hopper ticket? Previously they stated they did limit the sales of Genie+ and it did sell out for $35 when we there at Easter but I don't think Disney IT can keep up with 5 different buckets of Genie+. It was bad enough with park reservations w/AP and staying on site crossing buckets. I think this decision for Genie+ will be a nightmare.

I agree that MK being the same price as a PH genie+ is kind of crazy. We always like the option of hopping to MK so the PH genie+ would always be what we opt to get.
the same price has been all over disney influencer pages. I'm pretty sure that is the price for when it begins on 6/27 as an example and will increase during busy times.
Yeah I expect it to be the base price but will fluctuate up. But since the 27th is our first park day, at least we know we'll be paying $27/person that day!

Thanks looks better than my Excel spreadsheet. :)
Wish my handwriting was that legible! :)
During normal times you still come out ahead of Target when using a 1.5% or 2% back card.
Just remember do NOT use a Sam's Mastercard as gift cards will not give cash back.
You also will not benefit from being a plus member when buying gift cards but it is still a savings :)

We are kicking around going thanksgiving week, I can only imagine what the cost will be!

I guess I'm confused. If I use the same card over and over, I'm expected to retain the original receipt from a decade ago? I'm not being flippant it was literally before our first vacation in 2012. If that's the case I won't reload cards anymore. I have receipts of what I've bought in the last year for this vacation but not the original card, that just seems unreasonable.

Edited to add: Disney responded to my email and they have a known glitch with the gift card website not transferring funds. They are working to correct it.
Because of this exact scenario I let go of my old gift cards. I've got fresh cards now for reloading and very good documentation and notes. I scan and label all my receipts into a folder by the date of purchase. I have an excel spreadsheet that says vendor, purchase date, card info, original value, and if I transfer it when and where I transfer it. Another tab has my "permanent" gc info where I record where it was purchased and I keep a running tab of the balance. I may start ditching the cards after each trip to always start fresh.

Thanks for the info about the glitch, I was just about to transfer a card but I'm gonna wait and see if this works itself out.

I finally got a fall room only AP discount for Wilderness Lodge, standard 2 qn. Surprised it was still available when I called earlier this morning.
I don't know when Disney released Fall discounts but even with that, the price was still $120 per night higher compared to Universal Club Level 2 qn. and that's without an AP.

I'm kicking myself for cancelling that portion of our trip and switching to WDW. If we took Uber/Lyft to WDW for three days it still would have been cheaper than staying there.

We switched because DH wanted to stay at WL. He's regretting that decision.

I started using newer cards as well purchased from ShopDisney. There's no confusion when or where they came from as the designs are not sold anywhere else.
