Updated Best Days

The crowd increases for our days aren't TOO bad. I sure would like to consider going in mid-September when the crowds are at ONE! If the Texas legislature (the lamest people in the universe) decide to make our school calendar a statewide mess then maybe we WILL go in September! DS will be missing school ANYWAY! :rotfl:

I guess we'll see when DH and I can get vacation time and go from there. But I hear Value season calling my name...

Yikes! I think I will just leave my itenerary the way it is - or not. SO confused, my head hurts.

I agree. Mine went from 1 to 3/4 but I'm going to leave everything the way it is and enjoy!

We were thinking about October. Why does the weekend before Columbus Day average 5s and Columbus weekend (Oct 8,9,10) average 4s? I thought that was said to be a busy weekend? :confused3

Ugh! Ours went up from a 3 to a 7 because of the celebration. That's not even why we are going! Just our luck...I'm sure we will have a great time anyway!

Same here! We picked that week because we thought the crowds would be low and DD had 2 days off from school, having to miss only 3. Didn't know about the celebration at the time. Oh well! I guess I need to check our schedule against the changes. Two more weeks! :cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

Am I missing something? I didn't see any 8,9, or 10's. Where did you see this? I will be there with the week following Columbus Day and am okay with the 4's. Just want to make sure I'm looking at the right list.

If your numbers went up, particularly to over 5, that just means you need to have a plan and USE EARLY ENTRY.

We normally ride everything we want (Major attractions) in the first two hours the park is open with early entry.

You can always take a nap.

Every time we go my inlaws gripe when I get them up so early. :badpc:

Then when we are heading back to our rooms for R&R around 11:30 a.m., they laugh at all the people just entering the parks remember why I make them get up early. :earboy2:

That being said, we are also going December 3-11. That means a three the first day we are in the parks, and a two the last day. All ones other than that. :cheer2:  :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Now if they just put out the AP discounts for WL while we're there. pirate:

Darn we pulled DD out of school for low crowds (3) and now it's going to be crowded. :sad2:

We did the same thing. We are taking our DD out of school to miss the crowds but booked the 4th-10th. OOPS! I didn't realize the impact that the Celebration would have since it will be going on for 18 months. Oh well...

This just doesn't seem right to me. Take a look at these facts:

For people staying Saturday to Saturday, the first week of May has basically one Spectromagic (the 5th) and outside of that the MK closes at 9PM each night. Touringplans.com rates those days as 4's, 5's, 6's and 7's.

Skip to May 21nd through May 28th (ie the week leading up to and going into Memorial Day weekend). Disney's schedule calls for Spectromagic EVERY NIGHT and the MK closes an hour later at 10pm all week. Touringplans.com rates May 21-25 a 3 ???????? Then it only goes up to a 4 on the 26th?

Maybe it's 'cause I'll be in the parks May 1-6 :p , but that seems pretty out of whack to me. I know the Celebration and all, but really, outside of the 5th is it that big of a deal?

Not that this gives you much more time but MK closes at 10 on the 5th. Which seems ridiculous since this is the first day of the celebration. If it's that big of a deal, wouldn't their main park stay open later?

For people who have traveled this year, were the crowd levels as predicted? I have changed my plans twice (both mine and dh job are getting tired of the diff vacy req), we were planning a short trip 3 day trip (we live in ft. laud). I was alos thinking that the celebration was just a few new rides opening and and new cinderalla show for 18 months. Why is there such a jump in the crowds? I am going May 7 - 9, anyone going on those dates and are going to change? I want a nice pleasant trip for my 2yo and 5yo and impatient hubby.
Thanks so much for responding!!
