Not sure what locations will be participating. I guess they're trying to get over the backlash of their "temporary inflation fee". I'd probably call ahead of time to see if a particular location is participating, but I'd be surprised if any are not.

I have the feeling that it's going to be super busy. I would at least tip the regular amount and probably order an appetizer and a beverage.

Got a link?

All I got was the email. I directly linked the image that they provided in the email. They don't have any other link such as a coupon. This is the direct image URL:

The email didn't say anything other than "Free Spaghetti + Meatballs" in the title with an inline link of that image. And it included my preferred location and my name, but obviously I didn't include that.

I wonder if it's a special that location is running. That's my point. Yes, I know you said you didn't know if it's all locations. So I went to look to see if our location is included and I can't find anything referencing such a deal (aside from this thread). That's why I wanted to know if you had a link... something that would help others take advantage of it. If you had said "I received this as part of an email", I wouldn't have said anything.

I don't know really. This email was way different than the other ones I've received in that there's no link to a coupon page or anything. Their BOGO offers are usually on their Twitter feed. That's why I thought maybe it would be a good idea to call in.

I didn't think it would be on Facebook but not Twitter, but there it is. But I think the times are local and not just CDT. I made a reservation since I figure it's probably going to be a madhouse.

You're invited to dine at our house and enjoy complimentary Mom's Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti on Wednesday, August 17, from 4pm-close. We're grateful for our guests and community, so please join us for a night of twisting and twirling in our dining room.
Make a reservation to reserve your table: https://www.macaronigrill.com/locations
(*Offer valid for dine-in only on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 4pm-9pm. While supplies last. Valid in CA, FL and TX (excluding McAllen TX.)

yikes...free is always tempting, but I wouldn't go near the place. Can only imagine the crowds and chaos. Would hate to be a server that night...hope they don't get stiffed too often by people who think free food also means free table service without tipping.

No worries. I'm sure BCLA booked a dining reservation 60 days prior.

That would be a neat trick since it's 8 days from now. But I didn't make reservations for exactly when this starts, so I hope they don't run out.

“While Supplies Last.”

That means 10 or fewer.

I sincerely hope not. This is one of those things where they've might even freeze them and can keep them ready for whatever demand they have. And if they run out they'd be hard pressed to not just offer whatever else they have for free as a substitute if they want to avoid a riot. I don't care though. If they run out we're going to Burger King and chalk it up to bad luck.

I've gone recently with the specials luring me back. It's kind of sad actually. The place used to be reasonably busy. They had a lunch menu, happy hour, and on weekends it could get really busy with maybe half the tables occupied on a decent night and large parties celebrating birthdays. And the bar was usually full - especially when it was the only place to order happy hour items.

I kind of miss what it used to be. It was somewhat cheesy fake Italian villa motif, but I liked that they'd always have crayons on white butcher paper and each server would write down a name upside down (but right side up to the customer) in crayon. And for several years the location closest to me had someone who could sing in Italian. He was really good at it, although I have no idea if his Italian was spot on.

I was kind of wondering about another chain that used to be connected - Maggiano's Little Italy. They were part of Brinker's before Romano's was sold. I suppose they're going more for the Italian-American checkered tablecloth style restaurant look. I had one of their gift cards where I asked a friend what would be a good choice. He said that Maggiano's was really good. Never been, but seemed like a good choice when we were in LA the weekend before last weekend.

What is Romano's Macaroni Grill? Is it like Olive Garden but better? What a surprise that Romano's Macaroni Grill is giving free spaghetti and meatballs on September 17th because this is a smart idea for them to do. I don't have any Romano's Macaroni Grills in my town but they sound like a nice place to eat

It's chain Italian food. It's okay. They filed for bankruptcy in 2017. They closed 37 of their 144 locations, so apparently customers weren't coming. I have 3 mom and pop Italian restaurants within 3 miles of my house so I prefer those. Trying to remember when the closest Macaroni Grill closed here, has to be at least 10 years because my mom was with us the last time we went, and she passed away in 2013.
