Updated 9/13 - Plans Change with a 4 year old! A June 13-19 Trip Report

Oh how I loved playhouse disney! Watching the 7 kids in our group dance along was truly a highlight for me. I'm SO glad we went twice because I have the feeling by the time we go back again, the kids will have outgrown it

Yes, you do have to be flexible! I joked with DH that all my obsessive planning was for nothing, because Hannah threw it all out the window! But we were able to do the things that she wanted to do and that is what was important!

We had a busy weekend! Cleaned like crazy on Saturday and rearranged Hannah's room. Then yesterday we took Owen to the zoo for the first time. He was got to pet an elephant and lots of goats. He seemed to enjoy all the animals. Now, on to the TR!

Monday, June 15-
We woke up early to get ready for our breakfast at O'Hana. We took the bus to the MK then hopped on the

Monorail to the Polynesian. We had ADR's for 8:45am. We had to wait for a little bit, so we walked around and

checked things out. The Polynesian is beautiful!

Soon our buzzer buzzed and we had our picture taken and were
taken to our table.

Breakfast was yummy and Hannah enjoyed the juice! I think she drank like 4 cups! Pluto was the first to visit our table. Hannah gave Pluto a kiss on the nose!

Then Mickey came by. Ben told Mickey that

Owen wasn't too sure what to think, so Mickey stood back and played Peek-a-boo with Owen. Owen warmed up and started smiling at Mickey.

Next, it was parade time! Hannah jumped up and joined in! Hannah ended up walking and dancing with Lilo! I didn't get a good picture of that though. It was blurry!

It was about this time that I realized that from where I was sitting you could see that castle in the distance!

Next, Lilo came to visit! Lilo and Hannah had a nice visit!

O'Hana continued...

Then came Stitch! Owen was ok as long as Stitch kept his distance, but when Stitch came closer, Owen buried his head!

Mom get him away from me!!!!

We checked out some of the shops at the Polynesian. Ben picked out a new Hawaiian shirt for us to get him for father's day. Then we check out the shop with the beautiful paintings. I picked out a few I would like to have. Maybe when we strike it rich!

I love this one!

I would love to have this hanging over the bed in my bedroom!

Then we hopped back on the Monorail to go to the Magic Kingdom. It was wall-to-wall PEOPLE!! And HOT!!!

Hannah wanted to ride Splash Mountain and the Tea cups! I suggested to get fast passes for Splash Mountain then go to the Tea cups.

The line for the Tea Cups was about 20 minutes, so we got in line. Ben can't handle going in circles so just Hannah and I went. Our wait ended up being a little longer because right before we were to get on, some one passed out. It was interesting to see the CM's at work. They got the EMT's right away and the woman was fine! Luckily, Hannah was busy looking at everything all around and missed most of it or I'm sure there would have been 20 questions about what was going on.

We got to listen to the band play while we waited.

And waited...

It was then our turn to ride.

Hannah loved the tea cups! You can tell she is just loving it from the pictures!

I love this picture of Hannah because it shows her true enjoyment of the Tea Cups!

Hannah was ready to again as soon as we got off...Mommy needed to stop spinning for a little while.

After the tea cups we played on the Pooh Playground.

Hannah climbed the rock all by herself. Then called Ben over because she couldn't get down. Ben took advantage and took a few pictures while she was captive!

I think it was around here that Ben realized he had the camera on the wrong setting. That is why the pictures look washed out! He might be able to fix them, but I can't!

Owen was getting hungry and he was HOT! It was so hot this day! We decided we would go to Pecos Bill's to sit in the cool air and relax before our meeting with Splash Mountain. Ben and I weren't really hungry because of our HUGE breakfast, but you have to have food to be able to get a table, so we decided to split some fries and have a drink. Once we sat down, I fed Owen and he was feeling much better!

Hannah climbed into her stroller and fell asleep! We relaxed for a bit, then headed towards Splash Mountain.

I waited until the last moment and woke Hannah up. She was excited so it was ok. We left Owen and Ben to play on the playground. That is a nice thing to have for the little ones who are too small to ride.

We only waited around 5 minutes with our FP. We were seated in the very back of the long. Hannah was all smiles. I wish I would have had the camera, but I didn't! She would scream and hold on to me down every hill, then when we got to the big hill and she said, "please hold my hand." So I did! She loved it! She had the biggest smile on her face and promptly asked if we could go again! I told her maybe another time because the line was so long.

Edited to add: I thought about getting the ride photo until we looked at it! You could just see Hannah's red curls, she was hidden behind the people in front of us, so we didn't buy it!

We decided to head back to Pop because it was so hot and there were so many people. The plan was to swim, take a break and then enjoy EMH at Animal Kingdom. We got back to Pop and got our swimsuits on and just was walking to the pool when it started storming! They of course closed the pool. Hannah was about in a meltdown because she wanted to swim. We had to explain that it was too dangerous to swim. So we decided to go have dinner at the food court to see if the storm would blow though. It did and the pools were open by the time we finished dinner. So we were able to swim for a little while.

We were tired and thought it best not to go to Animal Kingdom. Plans change again! Would we be able to see everything we wanted to see the next morning?

Owen's bed was filled with all our animal friends!

Owen enjoyed playing with his new Star Wars friends before bed.

We called Nana and Mimi and then headed to bed at 9:00.

We woke up at 5:00am to get ready for breakfast. We got ready and headed to the Animal Kingdom for breakfast at Tusker House.

We stood in line to get in for a few minutes. Then walked back to Africa.

We arrive at Tusker House and parked the strollers. We got our picture taken and were taken to the table.

Our server told us we would be the first table the characters visited! Ben went up and got breakfast for he and Hannah while I stayed at the table. Then I got my food and a banana for Owen. The food was amazing and so yummy! We also enjoyed the "Jambo juice." They had the best ham!

First up was our friend Donald

I was just coming back from getting my plate so I got my picture taken too!

Hannah was excited to meet Daisy. I guess because we have a beagle named Daisy, I'm not sure.

Next was Goofy

Hannah enjoyed the marching in the parade and told me that Mickey waved at her.

I was able to get a nice picture of Ben with the kids.

We really enjoyed the food here. They had your typical breakfast foods, but they had other more fancy foods too. Yummy!

It was really hot the week we were there, and rained or at least sprinkled every evening. Trying to explain why we couldn't swim was interesting.

After breakfast, we went on the Kilimanjaro safari. We had 2 camera's going, so you may see a few repeats.

We were in the very back row so it was very bumpy, however, Owen thought it was nap time and fell asleep anyway! Only my kid could sleep though the bumpy safari ride!

We saw the lion!!!

We were so close to a rhino I could have reached out to touch him (I didn't!!).

We enjoyed the safari ride and I still can't believe Owen slept through it, but he did!

Then we headed down the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail. Hannah enjoyed watching the fish.

We saw the hippos and sleeping ducks, or a pretending to be asleep duck.

Then we got to see Timon.

The gorillas were just hanging out, nothing too fun!

After the walk on the trail, it was time for a restroom break and diaper change. I was taking random pictures while I waited on Ben.

Then we were headed to see Nemo. But first we saw Flik meeting people, so we hopped in line there were only 2 people in front of us.

Hannah has seen "A Bug's Life" several times, but she just wasn't too sure what to think of a huge bug, even if he seemed nice!
