Can't wait to read the reviews!!! We will be dining at a lot of the same places on our upcoming trip!!

Had a ticket to the final day of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and as I was planning on just relaxing heading to the Magic Kingdom. My flight landed about a 1/2 hour early, so I was at the resort by 10:30am. Checked in knowing the room would not be ready, locked my carry-on bags at bell services and grabbed the boat headed for Downtown Disney. Was planning on getting a decadent sundae at Ghiradelli's, but thought I would give Cooke's a try. Prices were a bit higher than what I was expecting, but went ahead and ordered the fish & chips and a diet Coke. Was given a number and waited about 10 minutes for the food. It was good & fresh, but I was not blown away. Total was $14.60 (OOO). I would rate this a 6 out of 10.

Below is a few other pics I took:

So, was able to check in, unpack and head for the Magic Kingdom. After heading straight to my all-time favorite attraction, the Haunted Mansion, went over to the Plaza Restaurant for dinner before the party started. It was pretty packed and found alot of people in the park without the party wrist bands looking for dinner reservations that night, but being turned away. Was seated pretty quickly, but was put at a table hidden in a corner, so it was a bit difficult for the waitress to see me. Also took another 10 minutes before the waitress actually came to the table to take my order.

As this was an out of pocket expense, had the burger with fries and a mint chocolate chip milk shake. The burger was fine, although the fries were overcooked and hard. The shake was wonderful. Total cost for this meal was $19.90 with an 18% tip of $3.36. Overall, it was ok, but not great. I would rate this a 5 out of 10.

Day 2: Tusker House breakfast & Crystal Palace dinner coming next.

As I was up @ 2am to get to the airport for a 6:30am flight (van service picked me up at the house @ 2:45am & the airport is about an hour & 20 minutes away, made it to about 10:30pm the night before at MNSSHP, then was completely spent. Went back to resort and crashed.

So, slept in a little on day 2 and had a 9am breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. Check-in was not too long, although, again, I'm put way in a dark corner and waited another 10 minutes for the server to come for a drink order. Was told the characters would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes. It was more like 45-60 minutes. Goofy arrived 45 minutes after I sat down, Daisy 50 minutes later, and finally Minnie arrive an hour later. Food was ok, service not so great (she made sure the larger tables in my area were constantly taken care of, but it was like I was just an afterthought), and the characters were WAY too slow getting around the restaurant.

Coming up next, dinner at the Crystal Palace.

I'm sorry you had a bad server at Tusker House. I always hear such great things about it. I'm looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

So sorry for the delay. Been a hectic few days.

Day 2: Dinner at the Crystal Palace.

This is a must dine for me on every trip, and this meal did not disappoint. Was seated about 5 minutes after checking in, and my server was at the table for my drink order right after I sat down. The food was hot and tasty and the characters were quick to make their rounds.

Great reviews!

We had a mixed experience at Tusker House breakfast. The food was fantastic and our server was very sweet - she really went out of her way to be helpful. But, the character interaction was terrible.:sad2: So much so that the kids even asked what was wrong. I doubt we'll be back unless we are traveling with someone who has their heart set on going.

Glad to see you had a good time at Crystal Palace - it is a must do for our family. We've been 3 times now and have had a great experience each time. :thumbsup2

Only been to WCC once, but loved it. I'm a little concerned for you next review......

Almost scared to hear about your Cape May Cafe experience based on your ! I love it there...don't want to ready anything bad about it...but of course I can't not read it. :rolleyes1

After taking a break back at the resort, I headed over to the Beach Club for my 5:30pm dinner reservation. I was seated about 5 minutes later and it took another 10 minutes before my server came to my table to ask about drinks. I ordered a diet coke, then headed for the buffet. My disappointment was overwhelming. By 5:45pm (15 minutes after the buffet opened), almost everything was empty and it took another 10 minutes before you started seeing food come back out to replenish. The selections were pretty thin, especially for the desserts. What food I did have was either luke warm or stone cold, which is pretty nasty. The meat was way overcooked, the chicken was dry and tasteless and the boiled potatoes were hard as bricks. Was hoping dessert would make up for all this, but nope. Very small selection. The Oreo bon bons were really dry and just crumbled when you tried to eat it. The cookies, brownies and mini cupcakes tasted like they just came from the day old section at the grocery store. Ended up getting ill  shortly after the dinner and had to cut my evening short because of it.

Was really disappointed in the quality and quantity of this buffet and won't be going back anytime soon. Breakfast was ok, but dinner was one of 2 major disappointments in all of the meals I ate there.
