(Completed 11/15) Halloween to Christmas - Tokyo Disney Oct/Nov 2025 TR

Back to DisneySea - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 7)

Trevor had managed to get a fastpass for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so he was planning to head back that way.
PXL_20251031_061609317.MP.jpg
Halloween banners!

It was sprinkling so there were a BUNCH of characters underneath that walkway there. Trevor didn't stop to meet them but he took some pictures:
PXL_20251031_061733912.jpg
Peter and Wendy

PXL_20251031_061806597.MP.jpg
Flynn and Rapunzel!

PXL_20251031_061910079.MP.jpg
Ariel and Eric

And in breaking the tradition of the couples -
PXL_20251031_062013276.jpg
Jasmine by herself. :)

As Trevor started heading back towards 20000 Leagues, the rain had driven down some of the lines so he stopped and got some Black Pepper popcorn cause that's one of his favorite flavors ('cause he's weird).
PXL_20251031_062529649.MP.jpg
The timestamp between that last picture of Jasmine and this popcorn picture is 5 minutes, so definitely no lines! :)

Pretty quickly he was there in Mysterious Island, heading for 20000 Leagues. Such a bummer Journey to the Center of the Earth was closed but 20000 Leagues is still pretty neat.
PXL_20251031_063000662.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_063002774.jpg

There was basically no wait in the fastpass line, so 3 minutes later he was boarding - and he got the front row!

He took several clips that I just put together. This is such an interesting ride to me - I'd be super curious to see it from outside the ride vehicles, like if there's a breakdown or something.

Anyways! After the ride, it was a bit before 4 pm and there was supposed to be a boat going around the harbor with some characters on it for Halloween, so Trevor headed that way. But when he got there it was still raining so he asked a cast member if the show would be running and they said no, so instead he headed towards the Tower of Terror cause it was posting a short wait. He had good timing - he was a few hundred feet away from it when they made the official announcement over the loudspeaker, and so ended up being ahead of the large crowd that had gathered to watch the show, for whatever way they would disperse. :)
PXL_20251031_070309952.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_070457480.MP.jpg
Such a neat lobby. Different from the US Tower of Terrors but still cool.

Terrifying Tower - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 8)

And of course, Joe Rhode in stained glass.
PXL_20251031_070520530.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_070526144.MP.jpg
And Joe Rohde in oil. :D
PXL_20251031_070711699.jpg
Less than 10 minutes later, he was in the pre-show room with that creepy idol thing.
PXL_20251031_071108474.jpg
Still no idea how they make the idol disappear - it's such a neat effect in person!

IMG_5829.JPG
You know that this version of the ride is tamer than the ones at the US parks cause Trevor rode it willingly and by himself. :)

At this point I don't know that Trevor had a plan, but he rode the electric railway towards the back of the park.
PXL_20251031_074254556.jpg
PXL_20251031_074318116.jpg
It was still raining but lightly enough that Trevor hadn't broken out his poncho.

When he arrived at the other end, he decided to ride Aquatopia. There was basically no wait (cause again, rain). I'll tell you Aquatopia wouldn't have been my first choice in the rain but it looks cool!
PXL_20251031_074908048.MP.jpg

It definitely looks cool as its starting to get dark.

After the ride, he kept walking towards Fantasy Springs, taking some pictures of the theming and the river on the way:
PXL_20251031_075927349.MP.jpg
C-3PO!

PXL_20251031_075934291.jpg
And the boat going around. :)

Fantasy Springs at Night - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 9)

Back in Fantasy Springs it was dark enough that the rockwork was all lit up:

PXL_20251031_080644882.MP.jpg
So pretty!

It was about 5 pm, and his Frozen fastpass wasn't until just before 7 pm, so he took some pictures in the gift shop for me (merch! :) ) and then headed over to his hotel to see his room and I dunno, rest for a bit/get out of the rain (I asked Trevor and he doesn't remember. :D) Guys, when he got to the hotel, his room was THE EXACT SAME ROOM we stayed in back in May. Which is kind of crazy honestly - what are the odds? :) So no room pictures - you'll have to be content with these from May and then this nighttime view:
PXL_20251031_083648562.jpg

But, he did have this nice little card on his pillow!
PXL_20251031_083614293.jpg
It's only about the size of a business card, but how cute!

90 minutes later, he went back into Fantasy Springs. Seriously, we booked him this hotel mostly cause we weren't sure how busy the parks would be and wanted to make sure he could buy park tickets and for Happy Entry, but being able to use the Fantasy Springs entrance was also a delightful perk. I wish they'd just open it up to everyone but *shrugs*. Anyways!

The next picture Trevor took is from inside the Frozen queue, past the fastpass merge point, at 7 pm on the dot:
PXL_20251031_095954851.MP.jpg
DisneySea does have a thing for stairs and bridges in their queues.

PXL_20251031_100139893.jpg
Queue theming!

By 7:04, Trevor was on the ride:
PXL_20251031_100402677.jpg
He didn't take any pictures or video on the ride, just enjoyed it.

At that point, he was hungry and ready to eat at our favorite place in DisneySea: Lookout Cookout!
PXL_20251031_102041022.jpg

Peter Pan Dinner and Ride - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 10)

We really liked Lookout Cookout, and it was one of the first things Trevor mentioned he wanted to do when he thought about doing this quick visit. The time finally arrived!
PXL_20251031_102410911.jpg
He got the brownie, the curry chicken, and the hot kiwi drink.
PXL_20251031_102806988.jpg
Not a bad dinner!

It was raining heavier by this point, and apparently that was scaring some folks away - there was essentially no line at the Peter Pan ride, so Trevor walked basically right in to the pre-show. After the pre-show its usually just a crush of people slowly shuffling up to the get the 3D glasses, but there wasn't really a crowd!
PXL_20251031_110527032.MP.jpg
It only took literally one minute to get the glasses and board.
PXL_20251031_110632466.jpg
PXL_20251031_110638862.MP.jpg
Flying Walrus! :)

Trevor got off the ride at about 8:15.
PXL_20251031_111838816.MP.jpg
Seriously it's so pretty at night.
PXL_20251031_111905478.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_112111524.MP.jpg
Rapunzel also had essentially no wait, so he decided to ride that. :) I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed he didn't take any pictures of the entrance with the lanterns all lit up but I forgive him. :) There were some cute things in the queue that he did take pictures of. :)
PXL_20251031_112317664.MP.jpg
Do the lanterns on the book cover kind of make a hidden mickey? :)
PXL_20251031_112324391.MP.jpg
Missed connections!

Good Night - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 11)

One more queue picture:
PXL_20251031_112331386.jpg
Snuggly Duckling Ladies Night, how cute!

This is how empty it was - Trevor got his own boat! He did decide to put on his poncho cause it was raining a bit harder by then.
PXL_20251031_112626544.jpg
There were a couple folks on the boat that was loading when Trevor got up there, but the nice CM held him for a second and gave him his own boat and took a picture of him. :)
PXL_20251031_112722657.MP.jpg
And of course, he got the front row!
PXL_20251031_112733101.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_112825683.MP.jpg
He got off the ride and saw that Frozen was only a 5 minute wait or so. Crazy! I guess the rain scared people off a lot, so he decided to head over there.

This is where I feel bad - Trevor had sent me some pics of the merch in the Fantasy Springs gift shop but with the time difference, I was asleep. I woke up at about 8:35 pm Japan time (so 25 min before park closing) and sent some requests but only if he had time. I ended up texting right as he was getting in line for Frozen but he ditched it to go do shopping for me - such a good guy! I do feel a bit bad he didn't get a second ride on Frozen but he didn't tell me about it being a short wait while he was there - he only told me that once he was back home so I couldn't tell him to go get back in line.

He finished buying stuff right as the park was closing, so was able to use the Fantasy Springs exit to leave (yay!) and headed over to Bon Voyage to get some more Tokyo Disneyland stuff to bring back for folks. I was definitely doing some vicarious shopping. :D

After Bon Voyage, he was ready to head back to the hotel but he saw some gachapon machines there in the train station:
PXL_20251031_131920077.jpg
So fun. :) Trevor loves the little aliens in costumes so he got that gachapon:
PXL_20251031_132357291.jpg
He got the Peter Pan one for me:
PXL_20251031_132957068.jpg
A fun little way to cap off the night! :)

By 11 pm, he was back in the room though he told me that as he walked through the lobby he saw some folks dressed in the hotel pajamas - Buzz Lightyear! :) But back at the room he was getting all packed up and ready for his last day tomorrow. His flight was at 5ish, so he was planning to leave the resort around 1 pm. But first, Disneyland in the morning! We were chatting a bit about Happy Entry - the CM told him it was at 8:15 but the park didn't open til 9 am according to the website so Trevor wasn't sure if he the 8:15 was a mistake or not. He decided he'd try and leave/check out at about 7:30, so he'd be over to Disneyland in plenty of time for Happy Entry if it actually opened up at 8:15. We'll see!!

Overall not a bad Halloween! I was having fun living vicariously through him for the time I was awake :D He got to do everything he had on his list at DisneySea and the Halloween party - calling that a win. We'll see how tomorrow goes - would there be any Halloween left?

Fun with Metrics:
Ride count: 9 (Raging Spirits, Gadget's Go Coaster, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Tower of Terror, Electric Railway, Aquatopia, Frozen, Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure, Rapunzel's Lantern Festival)

Good Morning Disneyland! - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 1)

The next morning, it was Disneyland day! Well, and the day Trevor flew home but we're gonna focus on the exciting part and not the flying home bit. :) The plan was to be checking out at 7:30 am so he'd be there in plenty of time for Happy Entry at 8:15, if it was indeed at 8:15 am. Buuuuuuut it's Trevor (and Trevor without me there to harass him :D) and so he didn't end up leaving at 7:30. He got all packed up and checked out and dropped his stuff at Bell Services and ended up leaving the hotel at about 8:15 instead. The first pictures he took were timestamped 8:24 am, of the entrance to Disneyland:
PXL_20251031_232458215.MP.jpg
PXL_20251031_232459415.jpg
Happy Entry had at least started earlier than 8:24 am! So probably at 8:15 like they said. Interesting - basically a 45 minute Happy Entry! Does that happen often? Though I guess Trevor didn't stick around to see when they let the regular folks in so it could have been before 9 am... *shrugs*

Anyways, Trevor made his way into the park, and got some fun selfies:
PXL_20251031_232630564.MP.jpg
Empty World Bazaar! and what do you notice? No Halloween pumpkin! Tokyo doesn't mess around with getting rid of Halloween stuff once Halloween is over.
PXL_20251031_232900575.jpg
Castle!

Trevor quickly made a fastpass for Haunted Mansion holiday at 9:10 am, and bought a fastpass for Beauty and the Beast at 9:05. Before the trip he told me he wasn't gonna ride it but I guess the FOMO got to him. :) But since it was still only 8:30 or so, he headed over to Tomorrowland the Happy Ride with Baymax!
PXL_20251031_233714000.jpg
He told me before he went that he wasn't necessarily going to ride it cause long lines and such, but he did want to watch it for a bit. But I guess it was running early and the line was short enough that he hopped in! Looking at the time stamps on the picture, he only waited about 10 minutes. Though in the above picture the standby line is all the way out by the fence so they must have let folks in early and he must have just missed the rush. Or maybe everyone who had Happy Entry was going for Happy Ride with Baymax. Who knows. :) Either way, 10 minutes later, Trevor was on the ride!
PXL_20251031_234942685.jpg
With the time difference I was still up and so was following along, and he soon sent me this amazing video:

Like literally my favorite, watching Trevor do the Baymax dance. :) Too bad he didn't bring his little light up Baymax with him! Oh well.

At this point it was about 8:50, and his plan was to go to Monsters Inc and ride that, and then once it hit 9:10 am try and book Pooh as his next free fastpass. But Monsters Inc was down! So he walked back towards Fantasyland to try and ride Pooh, depending on how long the line was, and then he'd try and get Monsters as his free fastpass instead of Pooh. As he walked back that way, he passed Beauty and the Beast and the line:
PXL_20251101_000129509.MP.jpg
quite long!

The problem too was that they weren't showing the wait times on the app until the park officially opened (which means they also weren't showing in the app what rides were down, hence Trevor's jaunt in the wrong direction to Monsters Inc). How long was the wait at Pooh?
PXL_20251101_000346197.jpg
82 in Japanese is "hachi" and "ni", which when you put it together and abbreviate it to "ha-ni" sounds like honey! Cute. No idea if this means the wait is short - Trevor didn't think so based on the line!

This was about when the park opened up and so the wait times showed up on the app - Baymax was posting 120 minutes so A+ to Trevor for riding that already, but Haunted Mansion holiday was posting only 5 minutes. There was a bit of buyers remorse as Trevor was thinking he should have used his fastpass on Pooh instead of Mansion but he (and I) were thinking that with the holiday overlay Haunted Mansion would have the longer wait *shrugs*. Anyways. Trevor decided to go over to Haunted Mansion and tap in with his fastpass and try and get a Pooh fastpass.

As he headed that way though he felt a bit vindicated - Mansion's wait time changed pretty quickly up to 40 minutes. Woof.
PXL_20251101_000636723.jpg
Haunted Mansion!

After he tapped in though sadly Pooh was already up to 4 pm but he had to leave the park at 1 pm so it was too late for him. Sadness. Oh well! He was going to keep checking; I was wishing I could help but with the geo-fencing on the app and seeing that I wasn't in the park, it wouldn't let me look for passes for him.

Anyways, Haunted Mansion Holiday!

Will Monsters Inc Come Back? - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 2)

Haunted Mansion Holiday Continued!
PXL_20251101_001552880.jpg
PXL_20251101_001637095.jpg

Trevor said that he enjoyed the holiday overlay, but he's kind of glad Disney World doesn't do it, since he's not a big enough fan of Nightmare Before Christmas to want to experience the overlay more than once every few years. I bet it's a neat experience to see the overlay on the version of the ride that's more similar to DisneyWorld's than Disneyland's.

After Mansion, Monsters Inc was still down, so he was trying to figure out what to do. Pirates was nothing different, and they took down the Groot overlay off of Small World so he didn't want to ride that. Star Tours though was 5 minutes and that's one of his favorites, so he decided to head that way. And who did he run into?
PXL_20251101_003708416.jpg
The Green Army Men! We didn't see them out at all in May - I didn't know that Tokyo had them at all!
PXL_20251101_003723803.jpg
They were just out playing around with people and taking pictures.
PXL_20251101_003830546.MP.jpg
PXL_20251101_003909374.jpg
Reminds me of our very first Disney trip where we ran into them in Pixar Place playing hide and seek with folks and just having a good old time.

His plan, despite the slight sidetrack was Star Tours, then Beauty and the Beast, then maybe some food cause he was getting hungry. He wasn't sure about the what to get (he was thinking maybe popcorn or gyoza), so I suggested the curry from Hungry Bear cafe, and/or the chocolate Mickey macaron for a snack. But he had time. :)

At Star Tours, he was not the rebel spy, but at least he didn't get Naboo! He got Hoth and then Space Whales. So on balance a win. :) No pictures of it though which kind of surprises me.

Next up, Beauty and the Beast!
PXL_20251101_010219676.jpg

Not a bad wait to get into the pre-show, maybe 5 minutes?
PXL_20251101_011338822.MP.jpgPXL_20251101_011514169.jpg
It ended up being a good thing for Trevor that there is such a wait to get on the ride after the pre-show (about 10 minutes), because while he was waiting, Monsters Inc came up! I was watching for it, since that was at least something I could do from home. As soon as it came up I texted him and was like "GET A FASTPASS!". There was about a 5 min delay between the ride coming up and the fastpasses becoming available but Trevor was able to get one for 11:10 (about 40 min in the future). Not bad! And good timing, cause he boarded the ride about 1 minute later. :)
PXL_20251101_013222363.jpg
Such a good ride!

Hungry Bears and Lil Ring Ring Already?! - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 3)

I'm including this one just 'cause I love the shield. It's one of the few pics Trevor took, I assume for me. :)
PXL_20251101_013456179.MP.jpg
After Beauty and the Beast, Trevor decided he was quite hungry, so he headed over to Hungry Bear for food. He asked me if I wanted any of the special items on the menu and that's when I realized that they'd switched the special souvenirs and desserts over to the holidays too! I didn't want the special holiday plate at Hungry Bear but I definitely started looking around to see what they had all around the park. :)

Trevor started walking over and passed the popcorn cart selling salt popcorn and it had a HUGE line - so much so that he sent me a whole voice message about it. Per him - who is waiting 15/30 minutes to buy salted popcorn? He also doesn't love the whole 3 person process that makes it take so long - also in this voice message was his experience yesterday buying the black pepper popcorn: they already had the box filled, it was sitting just inside the window, and still the person who fills the box had to pick it up and hand it to the cashier to then hand to Trevor. I know everyone's like "Tokyo Disney is so efficient" but man there are definitely some aspects of it that sacrifice efficiency in the name of something. Maybe service but also not really? Anyways.

Meanwhile, Trevor got the pork cutlet:
PXL_20251101_015329742.jpg
No cheese but that's cause he's a weirdy. He did get melon soda and the strawberry dessert cup. He also got a good seat, especially for people watching!
PXL_20251101_015841777.jpg
PXL_20251101_015938507.jpg
While/after eating he called me and we chatted a bit, and planned out his last few hours. He was gonna stop by Captain Hook's to pick me up some Christmas souvenirs, and then look in a gift shop for me, and then ride Monsters Inc, and then he wanted to look in some of the shops on Main Street/World Bazaar are on his way out. He had about 90 minutes before he needed to head back to the hotel, so definitely do-able!

Also, look - they've already put up the decorations on Country Bears Jamboree!
PXL_20251101_022723078.MP.jpg

Anyways, off Trevor went to Captain Hooks, to get me these adorable Lil Ring Ring candy holders!
PXL_20251101_023018304.MP.jpg
aren't they just the cutest things? Love it.

He then was looking at the gift shop by the castle, in the small slim chance they had any Haunted Mansion merchandise. They did not, but Trevor took some pictures of the theming.
PXL_20251101_024302191.MP.jpg
PXL_20251101_024316296.MP.jpg
And some selfies. :)
PXL_20251101_024609309.jpg
Castle!
PXL_20251101_024632796.jpg

He was heading over to Monsters Inc so makes sense to go through the castle. :)

Monsters Inc Ride! - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 4)

They even had Christmas banners up:
PXL_20251101_024851412.jpg

Over at Monsters Inc, there was a bit of a wait in the fastpass line:
PXL_20251101_025058247.MP.jpg
Trevor used the time to enjoy the theming:

PXL_20251101_025435586.jpg

Though just a few minutes later, he was on the ride! It's such a cute little ride.
PXL_20251101_030208829.jpg
Despite how confused everyone always looks in the photo. :D

Goodbye Disneyland! - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 5)

He spent a little bit of time in the gift shop after the ride, cause it's awesome.
PXL_20251101_031150046.jpg
Look at the sock! :)

He also bought an alien little coin purse - Trevor doesn't often get sucked in (of his own volition) by merch that is not a hat or a jacket, but the alien coin purse got him.

He then headed up to the hub in pursuit of a snack, though on the way, more Christmas banners!
PXL_20251101_031828679.MP.jpg
PXL_20251101_031847173.MP.jpg
PXL_20251101_031855922.jpg

What snack was he after?
PXL_20251101_032013010.jpg
The Mickey Macaron. This is way better than it has any right to be, honestly.

He then spent some time in the shops on Main Street, buying me some merch and some things to take back to friends and his office. He spent a bit more time than he meant to - he ended up leaving at 12:50 (the plan was to be back at the hotel hopping into an uber at 1pm). And then he saw more characters out meeting!
PXL_20251101_035136715.jpg

PXL_20251101_035223063.jpg
PXL_20251101_035213146.MP.jpg
He almost stopped and met Max but time to head back. Oh, he did tell me a few things about his meet and greets yesterday (in a voice message) - when he met Belle, he'd asked if she and the Beast were ready for Halloween and Belle told him that Chip was going to be a pirate with an eye patch, but Mrs Potts was still deciding if she was gonna let him wear a hook. And when he met Peter Pan, Peter saw his birthday sticker and wished him a happy birthday but told him to be sure not to grow up too much! (I'm gonna edit my earlier posts to include this info but for those of you reading along in real time didn't want you miss it. :) )

As Trevor got on the monorail, there was a Mickey head!
PXL_20251101_041828451.MP.jpg
Love these cute little touches from the cast members!

Back Home and Haul - Saturday Nov 1 2025 (part 6)

Trevor was back at the hotel just a couple minutes later, got his bags, and called for an uber that came quite promptly. He was in the uber at 1:20, projected to arrive at the airport just before 2pm - perfect timing for his flight at 5.

At the airport he did a bit more souvenir/merch shopping, specifically for KitKats!
PXL_20251101_053306357.MP.jpg
Trevor said he went ham in this shop with quite a large stack of kitkats. I've been enjoying eating them - the peach ones are my favorite. :)

Once bought, he repacked his suitcases and checked them in, and then headed to the lounge to enjoy his time before the flight. The flight was thankfully uneventful, and pretty soon he was back home! Not a bad quick trip - several rides, yummy snacks, merch, and getting to see both Halloween and Christmas at Tokyo Disney!

Fun with Metrics:
Ride count: 5 (Happy Ride with Baymax, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Star Tours, Beauty and the Beast, Monsters Inc)

Also, haul pictures!

All the KitKats. :D

2 Bonus Posts: The Toy Story Anniversary Popup at the Tokyo SkyTree!

The day before Halloween Trevor was doing sightseeing in Tokyo, and among other things, he went to see the Tokyo SkyTree and stumbled into the Toy Story Anniversary popup/event/thingamabob!
PXL_20251029_091839217.MP.jpg

The elevator up (and down) has a bit of a view:
And sets the scene with the Toy Story music!

At the top, he was able to see the fireworks from Disneyland!

Not a great view, but kind of fun.

Anyways, on to the Toy Story stuff!

First off, he went to the cafe:

And got the <Buzz Lightyear> White Grape Juice drink.

It was supposed to come with a special sticker but they were out. Disappointing but makes sense considering it would only be open for one more day.

Then, on to the displays!

I love this picture!

This room though was the coolest part. Notice the cabinets with the shadows of the toys on them? When the cabinet is closed (like it is in the picture) the shadows dance. But you can open the cabinets and try and catch the toys dancing! Trevor filmed it:

It looks like this event was mostly photo ops but trying to catch the toys is just super neat.

So yea, not a whole lot to it, but a neat little thing to catch. :)

And one last bonus Tokyo video for you: the 3D cat billboard!

Thank you for reading along on this very quick, slightly disjointed trip report - I like having the trips written up so we can remember them later (for example, Trevor was trying to remember what we liked best at the Hungry Bear cafe when he was making his order and so he looked at the May trip report to remember that we both liked the pork cutlet best. :D), so I appreciate you letting me share, and am glad if y'all find it even a little bit entertaining. :D Thank you for reading!

(and now I'm officially all caught up, until our trip at the end of November...new trip report incoming after we get back in December!)
