*UPDATED 10/11* "Yes, someone stole our stroller"... and other magical moments.

Hello everyone. First, let me say that I am THRILLED that y'all have decided to read along! I just hope I don't let you down:rolleyes1 I'll try to make this as exciting as possible:)

DH is laying in bed with DD and it's storming outside. A perfect setting to do a little TR'ing if I do say so myself!

So, I left off with the big reveal video. This was really such a magical moment for me. One of Aubrey's teachers even had tears in her eyes. It was a great moment:cutie:

We ended up leaving around 1:00pm so we got a good 5 hours of driving in before we had to stop for dinner. Let me back up, I HAD to stop around 2:30 for some coffee. I have an internal coffee clock that tells my body it NEEDS coffee at this time of the day. Every day. It was time for a potty break anyway so we stopped and got some snacks and caffeine!

We made it to Podunkville, Fl for some dinner. I have no idea where this place was but it was scary. We were definitely the "outsiders." City folk, if you will:eek: We ate at a McDonald's (Not my choice) so the kids were happy. The plan was to change the kids into their PJ's there so they would be all set for bedtime in the car. I had two new pairs of Disney PJ's for them which was another suprise. I didn't take pics of them but Brendan's were Cars and Aubrey's were Chip and Dale. They were thrilled:lovestruc We loaded up in the car and got back on the road.

It was pushing 8:30pm at this point and DH and I were getting a bit sleepy. We decided to make one more coffee stop and let the kids potty again just in case. Well, let me just tell you that we all started to get a bit punchy! This video should explain itself...

I have to mention that you will not see me in any of our videos or pictures from this trip. I am VERY self conscious about my weight right now. I have gained a ton over the past year or so and it's very upsetting. This is the heaviest I've ever been. That is a bridge I'll have to cross when I'm ready. But until then, I will be the mystery voice behind the camera:cool2:

Alrighty, so shortly after I shot this video, the kids crashed. I mean, they were wild one second and passed out the next. They both fell asleep at 9:30pm on the dot. It was pretty funny!

Day19-22-1121.jpg

Now, it had started raining I think when we crossed the Florida line and hadn't stopped at all. It wasn't hard rain, but it was constant! I was amazed that my window paint was not coming off at all! It took everything for me to not turn on the back windshield wiper though. I kept wanting to do it but had to remind myself not to!:lmao:

So, we drove and we drove and we drove and we drove. Finally, we came upon this wonderful sight!!!

Day19-22-1175.jpg

It was funny because it was now around 12:30am and all the young folks were out partying at Pleasure Island (or whatever the world it's called now) and they were walking all around the streets. I felt like a big ole dork hanging my camera out the window to get this picture but oh well. I did it for my TR:thumbsup2

After a few wrong directions from Samantha (our GPS) we finally ended up here...

Day19-22-1187.jpg

Can I get a Haleluer!!!:worship:

The kids started to wake up because daddy and I were giddy with excitement and not being quiet! Once they figured out that we were truly there, they started to get excited too!

So, here's the deal with this night. I added this night on at the last minute about a month before our trip. I did it for room only. Our original plan was to stop in Tallahassee and drive in the next morning but it was killing me not getting a full day in the park. Sooooo, I added this night and prayed that the coffee and red bull would get us there safely, which it did:dance3:

Now, I have already mentioned to y'all that we rented strollers from Magic Strollers. Two singles to be exact. We find that it's easier to maneuver the parks with two singles rather than one of those big honkin' doubles. The strollers were supposed to be there waiting for us so that we would have them to use bright and early the next morning.

The other item that was supposed to be there waiting was our Owner's Locker. For those of you who aren't familiar... www.ownerslocker.com is a great company!! I mean, why didn't I think of this!!! Anyway, we go to Disney quite often so it's nice to have all of our "stuff" there waiting for us. An example of things in our locker: all toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, medication of EVERY kind, wine, bottle opener, small fan for white noise... You get the picture. Stuff that we REALLY need for our first night there!

So, I walk in and am the only guest checking in. There was another woman in the lobby. I must tell you about her. She was some poor, strung out looking woman who was complaining to security about something to do with Cinderella. I was trying SO hard not to listen in on their conversation but it was dead quiet in there! You could hear a pin drop, so it was kind of unavoidable:rolleyes1 Anyway, she was saying something about how rude Cinderella was to her in the park today. She was literally in tears. And the poor little security guard was just staring at her, letting her speak her peace. It was truly entertaining.

Anyway, I started the check in process with the CM there. It was 1:00am on the dot. I did not get her name. I was sleep walking.

I do remember her going in and out of Pixie-ness. She was sweet at first, then rude, then sweet again. I wanted a good room. I wanted a convenient room. You would have thought I was asking for her first born. But, it WAS 1am so I was cutting her some slack. I'm sure she was tired too. After we got all the room stuff straight, I mentioned to her that I needed to pick up our strollers and our locker. She nonchelantly tells me "Oh, bell services are closed for the night so you'll have to get that in the morning." Um, no. I need my toothbrushes! I need my contact solution. I need my WINE! lol. kidding. It seems that no one ever told me bell services closes at 10pm at the value resorts:headache: Only value. Not moderates or deluxes. (reason number 1 of the trip to not stay at a value again - for us. No flames please:) ) She also informed me that no one had signed in on the roster that strollers or a locker had been delivered. Now, Owner's Locker and Magic Strollers are owned by the same people. A VERY nice man named John. I had gotten a text earlier in the day from John saying that our strollers and locker were delivered safely for us at ASmo. Hmmmmm, interesting.

The CM then told me that she could call someone with bell services to come over and check the room to see if they were there. There is a guy on call but it may take him a while to get here. Mmmm, ok. Well, I need my toothbrushes so get on the horn! What seemed like an eternity passes by and she then proceeds to take out a key and walk over to the bell services room, unlock it, and check for herself:scared1: Seriously??? You had a key this WHOLE time yet you tell me you have to wait for "your guy" to get here! I was not a happy camper.

Turns out, there are NO strollers and NO lockers in the room. She told me that I needed to contact OL to find out what the deal was. Then, she turned on the pixie factor again and gathered us some toiletries! She got us toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shave cream... all without us asking! I was very appreciative.

We loaded back in the car and drove around to our room. It was in the Fantasia building. On the map, it did not look like a preferred room location but it turned out being very convenient. Not only was it convenient, it was renovated!!:woohoo: And I'm talking very recently renovated. Like, I think we were one of the first ones to stay there. I say that because many of the rooms around us were being worked on so ours had to have been completed recently. And everything smelled brand new! That was refreshing since I got some disturbing reports of roaches from a friend and I was super paranoid!!!:scared1: No roaches. But guess what was there when I opened our door??? Our locker!!!!!

I had called OL and left a message. I knew it was the middle of the night and would have to wait until the morning before I heard from anyone. WRONG!!! John called me back immediately. I could tell he was dead asleep. But he offered to come over there to look for the locker since he delivered it himself! Thankfully, that was not necessary since I was on the phone with him when I walked into the room and saw our purple friend.

Now, where were our strollers?? John said that I would have to wait until the morning to figure out that one because someone else delivered them. Not two minutes after I hung up the phone with him, someone knocked on our door. It was bell services with our strollers!!! Wahoo! Things were turning around. This was going to be a great trip! :headache:

We proceeded to unpack a bit and get settled in our beds. We all layed down and crashed. It was around 2:30am now. Well, I should say that everyone ELSE crashed. My red bull and coffee were still racing through my system. I actually had to take a sleeping pill (found in my handy dandy owners locker) to fall asleep. Crazy. Eventually I drifted off and slept really well. There were no wake up calls, no alarms, no rope drops for us to catch. We slept until our bodies told us to wake up. This because a theme for us on this trip.

Up next, checking out then back in then hitting the road to MK!!!

Ha--I'd love to hear the whole story about how Cinderella was so rude to someone she actually made her cry

In fact in one of the lines Grace, very excitedly, pointed out to me, "Momma (big smile) you are growing another ****ie!!" She was pointing to what I call my speed bump on my tummy. Lovely.......... I guess we both had lots of magical moments. Shhhhhhh about my last day one. ;) I think I am going to start my trip report tomorrow.

I'm glad you found your stuff. I have never heard of Owners Locker before but it sounds awesome. I would love to not have to waste space in my bag for things that could already be waiting for me. :)

The teachers were great. I was so nervous about it but they all assured me it would be fine. She is in kindergarten afterall. How much could she possibly miss?! I know some schools are really strict though so I we are lucky:thumbsup2

Uh, I couldn't tell you the last time I willingly took a picture of myself. It's a sad state of affairs. But it will change soon, hopefully! I am SO glad you decided to do a TR. Let me know when you start!!

Owners Locker is such a great service. And it make so much sense! Like I said, I wish I would have thought of it;) Thanks for reading along!!

Sorry to hear about the stroller that is terrible. Count me in can't wait to hear more..

WAIT! There are NOOOOOO pics of you? None? Seriously? Girl, I put pics of myself up every day and I outweigh you significantly. So glad you got a refurbed room. Wonder who that jerk was scaring you with horror stories ;)

Love your accent on the surprise video. Makes me so happy. And that Aubrey just hopped in the car!

Is it disturbed that i would have totally stopped and listened the the woman complaining about Cinderella????

Another Southern girl subbing in! Love, love, the videos, and as cute as the surprise one was, love the one of your husband doing the "I'm so wired I don't care what you video and post for the entire world to see" video! Gotta appreciate a man who loves his family and Disney! Never get tired of surprising the kids. Between April 2010 and March 2011 we went 7 times and all but 2 of the trips were surprises and my boys still get crazy! Shhhhh....they don't know it, but we will be spending Halloween with Mickey again this year----baaahaaaaaahaaaaaaaaa! Love your style of writing---so delightful and can't wait for another installment.
:banana::banana: I chose bananas because they are healthy!!!!

I can certainly relate. Except for DD13 getting way overly determined about it and me not catching on and stopping her this last summer... I'd have no pics of me for ...ooo...about 5 years. Now, to my horror, there are not only a few summer pics but they went up on facebook. Just as I had started losing weight and still looked just awful to myself. :headache:0

Oh well, I'm working thorugh my "stuff"... on a plateau of sorts at the moment but not feeling truly stuck. I'm about to kick off a new round of detox soon and I'm exercising a lot and I'm subbed into the walking to disney thread. :yay:

All will be well eventually. :wizard:

Hi everyone. Just checking in with y'all. So sorry I haven't been around for a few days. This has been a crazy weekend. We celebrated Aubrey's birthday ALL weekend long, two parties and a new puppy :) I have video, will have to share.

Anywho, I promise to be back with an update today! Just wanted to let everyone know I haven't forgotten about you!!! Have a great Monday:thumbsup2

Glad your check in ended up on a high note!:thumbsup2 Don't worry about the updates, we're still here when you do! (Besides, I'm the #1 offender when it comes to length between updates:lmao:)

You are so much calmer than I would have been if my wine....ahem.... toiletries was potentially lost after a LONG drive like that!:worship:

Looking forward to reading about your MK day!:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading! There are more good times than bad. Promise :)

Ok, I don't know what kind of crack you are smoking, but there is NO way you outweigh me. Seriously. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and it's killing me. But not for long!!!

Aubrey was so funny. She was ready to go. No questions asked!

I really tried to hear exactly what crazy lady was saying but I couldn't. What ever it was, from the look on everyone's face that was listening, it was quite entertaining :rotfl:

LOLOLOL! Yes, DH has no shame when it comes to what he lets me post. The surprise thing was awesome. We will be doing it again one day I'm sure :) How awesome to be going for Halloween!!! I hope to see a TR!

Here are some more healthy snacks for you... lololol :banana::banana:

We can do it!!! Now, I just need to figure out how:confused3 If you find a magical weight loss wand, let me know. K? :)

Come back I need an update......I am having Disney withdrawals.

Sorry. Bad DISer :(

Thanks. I really feel bad for not being more consistent on here. Life just always seems to get in the way:headache: I'm off to update now!! Thanks for reading:thumbsup2

Ok, I'm here. I know y'all probably thought I fell off the face of the Earth. Actually, it was just a crazy weekend. Aubrey turned 6 on Friday:love: and we had a big "family" luau that night. Saturday we hung out with my out of state inlaws, and Sunday was Aubrey's "friend" party at Chuck E Cheese. Needless to say, it's taken me a few days to recoop. So glad I don't have to worry about Brendan's birthday until March:cool1:

It was a great weekend and Aubrey got another wonderful birthday surprise. I have a video that is just too cute to not share. Check it out...

This video is coming very close to beating the Disney surprise video! I have watched it 100 times. Each time, it makes my heart sing:lovestruc Notice how she lunges towards the camera. That is because she is giving her daddy a big hug and he was the one with the camera!!! Rosie is a GREAT addition to our family. It's like having a new baby in the house! We love her:)

Ok, no onto DISNEY!!!

When I last left you, we had just settled in for bed and I was trying to fall asleep. Not so easy after multiple cups of coffee and a red bull! But eventually I drifted off into dream land. The next morning, we decided to not set any alarms and just wake up when we were ready. I think we made it until about 8am. Jason and I woke up but the kids were still sleeping. We decided to to a wake up call for right then so they could hear Stitch telling us to get up and get going! It worked like a charm. The kids both jumped out of bed and before we knew it, we were dressed and ready to hit the road!

First, breakfast. Which consisted of a breakfast bar and a bag of chips from the car ride. Who cares, it's Disney!

Day19-22-11120.jpg

I tried to get a shot of the kids each morning before we left so I could remember what they wore for the day. I love these shirts. Brendan's says "Little Dude Big Attitude" with a pic of Donald and Aubrey's says "Born to live happily ever after." Love it!

Day19-22-1194.jpg

Here's the view from our door, minus the kids :)

Day19-22-11100.jpg

Since we drove, we decided to see what it would be like to take our car to the parks instead of the bus. It's free to park when you stay on the grounds so we figured we'd give it a shot! We would come to realize that this is the WAY TO GO!!! Loved having our car there!!! Jason took the kids down to the car and I headed to the lobby to check out and check back in. That went very smoothly and thankfully we were able to keep the same room! Jason came around to the front of the resort and after a quick glance over to the bus lines, we were grateful to be in our car and were off to the TTC!

We got there in just a few minutes and made our way over to this...

Day19-22-11140.jpg

Can I tell you that this is literally Brendan's favorite thing to do at WDW! He LOVES the monorail. He was looking so forward to riding it again so it was a nice treat that it was the first thing we got to do.

Finally, after 11 hours in the car, a temporarily lost owner's locker and strollers, and 5 hours of sleep, we made it to Magic Kingdom!

Day19-22-113.jpg

Day19-22-11175.jpg

First up, Fantasyland of course! We made it there by 9:45am which really wasn't bad considering we took our sweet time. I try to make a point to really enjoy my first walk down Main Street without taking 100 pictures of the same stuff that I have pictures of already. But I just HAD to stop and take a pic of the castle. Can anyone see the hidden Mickey in the clouds? (Hint: it's a profile Mickey)

Day19-22-11127.jpg

I just thougth that was the coolest thing EVER!!

We didn't really have a firm plan for this day. We would just make our way around the park as we felt like it. Our first stop...

Day19-22-1111.jpg

Winnie The Pooh! Can someone verify for me that this is in fact the que for Pooh? I took this pic but I am not 100% certain that it's from that ride. Forgive me for my mistake if I am wrong:rolleyes1

Here are a few more pics from the interactive que:

Day19-22-11149.jpg

Day19-22-1148.jpg

Finally, we're on a ride!!! (Notice, no one wanted to sit with mom:rolleyes:)

Day19-22-1120.jpg

After Pooh, the kids wanted to try and get the sword out of the stone. I found this very funny because they've never even given it a second look! But on this trip, it seemed to be one of their missions!

You can do it!!!
Day19-22-1135.jpg

Day19-22-1170.jpg

Need to upload more pics...

Up next, our favorite FL ride...

Day19-22-1140.jpg

Here's a sweet pic of Brendan waiting in line <3

Day19-22-1134.jpg

The we headed over to It's a Small World since the line wasn't too long (as usual)

Day19-22-11116.jpg

Day19-22-1169.jpg

I didn't take many pics here because, frankly, I didn't want to waste the space on my memory card. But the kids love this ride and they made me take some. So, there you have proof that we were there :)

We then headed over to Snow White. No pics here. Sorry:rolleyes1

It was getting close to lunch time so I checked one of my WDW dining apps to find a QS restaurant nearby that had stuff on the menu that we wanted. We settled on Pecos Bill. The food was good. Nothing too memorable. I think DH and I shared the BBQ pork sandwich and the chicken wrap. Kids got a turkey sandwich and PB&J. We were all starving and cranky so a nice cool restaurant and food hit the spot. Speaking of cool, I have yet to mention to y'all about how FREAKING HOT it was!!! We have been to WDW in September. We have also been in May. Let me tell you, this was the hottest it had ever been on any of our trips. I'm talking sweat dripping into my eyeballs hot. Uhhh, and I decided to wear capris this day because I thought it was going to be cool. HA! yea right:eek: I was pretty miserable so any chance we had to go inside, we took it. I decided that I desperately needed a visor to keep the sweat out of my eyes so that was going to be my next mission.

After lunch, we decided to walk over to Pirate's since my handy dandy app said the wait time was short. Man, those apps are the best invention EVER! On the way, we ran into one of the pirate training shows going on. I had never seen it so I wanted to watch it for a second...

Day19-22-1197.jpg

It always amazes me how they get the CM's to look so much like Jack Sparrow!

Day19-22-1165.jpg

Alrighty, so after a short stop, we made it here...

Day19-22-11121.jpg

Did y'all know that you're not supposed to use flash photography even in the que?? I didn't know that and I happened to take this pic before I heard the announcement :rolleyes1

Day19-22-1193.jpg
