I loved the Holiday Tour when I took it 3 years ago. It's nice they offer discounts through several sources -- AAA, Disney VISA, AP. A great way to wrap up up the holiday things before they disappear. And the goodies!

When we travel, our Labrador goes to a free-range boarding place and has the time of her life playing with the other dogs. We call it her "doggie vacation" and the kids don't miss her as much because they know she's having fun too. She runs herself silly and then spends the first couple days back home sleeping it off and giving me accusing glares.

Aren't dogs funny? I expect the accusing stares to happen for a few days.

Ahh they are so sweet!! Glad they have a place to go. Hopefully they don't get to mad at you when you return.

Thank you! I am sure that although they will be mad for awhile but I bet it won't take long for them to get over theor mad.

It's too early for the tour. They can only be booked a month out.



They are more off than on but they don't seem to want to go away completely. I think maybe they are stress related.

Hello all! Well that is if I still have readers....... It's Friday so I went to our house and took pictures. I will post some later but right now I am talking Disneyland!!


The last few days we have been looking at pictures from past trips and I have gotten around to working on a trip report from 2007 when I went in the hospital and never finished it. It has been a fun trip down memory lane. It is making us more and excited about our trip.

Kody and I have decided on a few meals for the trip. We will definitely be eating at Goofy's. This is a must. We want that special character time. Celina and Ryan want to eat there and Celina plan on getting her picture taken with every character she sees. I believe her Kody and I will be going on a quest for characters. This should be so much fun!

Another place that Kody wants to eat at is Flo's. She has been reading every trip report she can find and looking at the pictures. So if any of you have been seeing your lurking numbers going up it is Kody. She also has been reading the food porn threads too. That is why she wants to eat at Flo's for both breakfast and lunch or dinner. Another must do is White Water Snacks in the GCH. Kody loves the nachos. Frankly they are rather tasty. There are so many good foods in there that there is something for everyone.

Also we finally managed to find Scotty some insoles that give him relief for his foot pain. So he is looking more forward to the trip now. I am so thrilled that his level of excitement has reached the higher level the kids and I have. Kacy has been pouring over pictures and menus too. Loren was there last November so it isn't as exciting for him. He was more excited when he thought his best friend was going with us. He isn't now so that changes things.

Planning this trip has been a good thing for me during the stress from the fire. I thank you all for being my sounding board.

Notice the trim around the windows. It is shaped with foam and covered with stucco.






This is one of the most fun things for me. Rob the supervisor heard me talking to Stephanie my niece about putting shelves in Scotty and my closet. He put them in!


This is my new upstairs linen closet. I think that I am going to hang a rod in there and put a bathroom rug on the floor so we can hang out wet jackets in there upstairs.




I love the doorknobs on the outside doors.




This is the window that will be over my kitchen sink. I did not have an actual window sill in this room. The counter was the window sill before. I am thrilled by this change.

So that's it for this weeks house pictures. Tomorrow memories and I am going to skip in time for that one so that I can add pictures to it.

Glad everyone is getting excited!! We love Goofy's!! But lately we've been doing Minnie's so we can get that extra park time (we do it on a MM morning after we've already used our MM) after we eat a quick breakfast and the kids get to see some of their favorite characters.

If you make breakfast reservations at Minnie's during MM you don't have to have MM on your tickets. We've done this on our last 3 trips (when I made our reservations the first time like this the CM told me I don't have to have MM available on my tickets). We'll use our MM early in the trip and on our last day in the park (normally a MM day) I'll make breakfast reservations for Minnie's during MM. Haven't had an issue yet getting in for our meal. Even if we leave the restaurant when the park opens we're still ahead of all the people just getting into the gates and heading down Main Street. Normally though we're done about 10 mins before park opening and are on our first ride by the time the gates open to everyone else.

But yes we like Goofy's too because of the wide variety of food they have. Don't have to much variety at Minnie's.
