Ok guys, Festival of the Arts has started and I'm having SERIOUS FOMO! Dylan Bonner has a GORGEOUS Haunted Mansion bride piece that I want and I'm terrified it's gonna sell out before we get there lol. Tell me I'm being crazy! We fly in on the night of the 24th - less than a week! So excited - it's gonna be like single digits here in the DC area which is crazy cold for us.

Anyways, back to the TR!

Royal Palm Club Lunch Offerings - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 4)

We got up at 1 pm, and got ready to head to Disney Springs. But first, snacks! We sampled one of the chocolates left in the room -
IMG_4075.jpg
Not sure what it was, but it had a red filling:
IMG_4076.jpg
It was good though! I like rooms that come with chocolate. :)

We had to stop by the lounge on the way out (conveniently enough, our exit path took us right through the lounge, so it was on the way. :) ) But before we get to the food in the lounge - they had this Rapunzel picture on the wall by the entrance and I loved it:
IMG_4079.jpg
Isn't it gorgeous?

Ok, the lounge food for lunch!
IMG_4080.jpg
Cookies.

IMG_4085.jpg
rice krispie treats.

IMG_4081.jpg
Hummus with celery, carrots, and broccoli, and then Greek Orzo salad. We didn't try any of this today but I tried the hummus a couple days later and it was yummy. I don't think we ever did try the salad.

IMG_4082.jpg
Apple slices and peanut butter, grapes, and uncrustables.

IMG_4083.jpg
House made chips with house made ranch dressing.

IMG_4084.jpg
Chex mix and graham crackers and trail mix.

IMG_4086.jpg
Cooler with yogurt and milk and juice.

OMG me too! I made the mistake of looking at pictures of the art and now I realize this is going to be a painfully expensive trip! :rotfl2: Hopefully the HM bride piece is still there later this week!

And yeah, what is with the weather around here this week!??! It's supposed to be 9 the morning I fly down, I can't remember the last time we hit single digits in this area!

Jock Lindsay's Lunch - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 5)

Ok just a couple more pictures of the lounge -
IMG_4087.jpg
Royal Poinciana (not sure what this is), lemonade, and unsweetened tea.

IMG_4088.jpg
A cooler of mickey bars and mickey ice cream sandwiches! :)

So definitely not AMAZING but nice to have the snacks out for grabs. That cooler though, the stuff of dreams. :) We didn't grab anything this time (well, except for some rock candy they had on the table by the concierge desk), but mostly just excited to be staying club level. :)

We headed down to the bus stop, and only had to wait about 5 min for a bus to Disney Springs, so by 1:45 we were at Disney Springs! For lunch we wanted to try the holiday food at Jock Lindsay's, so over there we went. :) There was a bit of a line, so we hopped in.
IMG_4095.jpg
But nicely they also had the holiday menu with pictures outside:
IMG_4093.jpg
So many choices! We were interested in the pigs in a blanket and the deviled eggs...but maybe the croquettes...not sure!

We got seated about 10 minutes later at the bar outside. The bar isn't our favorite spot, but we had a movie at 3:30 so we figured better to be seated quickly than try and wait for a table.
IMG_4096.jpg
And yes, we were wearing matching Jollywood Nights shirts for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that night. :)

We got some of the Christmas decorations outside, though most of them were inside.
PXL_20241117_190846419.MP.jpg

We started with our standard drinks - I got the Antidote (sprite and cherry juice which I think is basically a shirley temple but sprite instead of ginger ale)
IMG_4100.jpg
and I just realized I forgot to take a picture of Trevor's drink - he got the Poisonless Dart: soda water with mint, simple syrup and lime juice. Oops!

We ordered the Naughty or Nice Deviled Eggs (we got them "nice" with the sweet honey glaze)":IMG_4101.jpg
These were delicious - the ham especially was super tender and not overly fatty. Yum.

Then we got the Bread Dip pyramid - it wasn't a holiday thing but it was brazilian cheesy bread! So of course we had to get it. Brazilian Cheese Bread with a creamy tomato and chorizo dip.
IMG_4102.jpg
This was delicious too - the cheesy bread was super good (very similar to the cheesy bread at Skipper Canteen and MUCH better than the cheesy bread at Epcot in the Food and Wine festival), and then the dip was really interesting. It was almost like a deconstructed grilled cheese/tomato soup dish, so lots of fun. And delicious. :)

These two came out pretty quickly but the pigs in a blanket we waited literally another 30 minutes for (the time stamp on my pictures for the cheese bread is 2:17, and the time stamp on the picture of the pigs in a blanket is 2:48). So not sure what was going on in that kitchen but yea that wasn't ideal.
IMG_4103.jpg
These were SUPER SUPER hot, and took a while to cool down, and I was starting to get a bit nervous of the timing cause I'm me and wanted to make sure we weren't late to the movie. And also, they kept sliding out of the pastry! So not my favorite dish, though the cranberry mustard dip was interesting.

A Movie and then a Show - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 6)

One last Jock Lindsay's picture - Trevor doublefisting the drinks cause he was inspired by me drinking multiple icee flavors at once at Universal:
IMG_4106.jpg
That's his "huh, not horrible" face. :)

We left a little bit after 3pm, heading to the movie theatre there at Disney Springs. Admittedly this was not a Disney thing, but one of my other big loves is Broadway musicals. One of my favorite Broadway actresses - Stephanie J Block - had gone over to London to star in "Kiss Me Kate" and they filmed it! But the only days they were airing it in theatres were today (Sunday) and Wednesday of that week, and today fit into our plans better. Trevor also likes musicals (as long as they're happy), so he was coming too. I'm glad we went too - sometimes they release these for purchase or do encore showings but so far no release or additional showings, and I would be so sad to have missed it! Anyways - we got to the theatre a bit early (which reassured my FOMO :) ) and settled in. Not gonna lie - we were super grateful for the rock candy, as Trevor and I both started nodding off a little bit in the first act (those late nights catching up to us!), but the rock candy woke us up.
IMG_4108.jpg
The only picture I have. :D

It was really fun though - I like Kiss Me Kate generally, and this cast was particularly good. Highly recommend if you ever get a chance (if they ever do a encore showing. :) )

We got out of the show at 6:30, and with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that night starting officially at 7, we had to hustle over there! Rather than take a bus to Contemporary or Grand Floridian or anything and go from there over to the Magic Kingdom, or take an uber to the TTC, we decided to continue being bougie and take a Minnie Van! We hopefully wouldn't have to wait, and they could drop us off right at the Magic Kingdom.
PXL_20241117_233512133.MP.jpg
I turned on all my light up things as we were waiting for the bus - light up necklace and light up ears! :)

We only had to wait about 5 minutes, and then we were on our way to the Magic Kingdom in the fancy fancy Minnie vans. They are expensive, but it was super convenient - at 7:03 we were walking through security at the Magic Kingdom. Phew! Expensive to get to Magic Kingdom either way - either in money via a minnie van, or in time with at least an extra half hour. In this case, I'll take the money. :)

At this point there were no lines to get in, thankfully. I did think that I'd gotten tagged for a bag search but phew - it was the lady in front of me.
IMG_4118.jpg
Pretty!!

We headed for the bypass:
IMG_4119.jpg
The DJ was out, so that was fun to see and hear.
PXL_20241118_000718928.jpg
We almost stopped to get pictures with the gingerbread men but man was their line long.
IMG_4125.jpg
So you get this shot in between the people they were greeting. :)

Same with the snowflakes on stilts!
IMG_4128.jpg

At 7:15 we were through the bypass, had gotten our maps and ornament, and were deciding what to do. While deciding, photopass pictures!!

Snowman! :)

Ok, the plan. The main things we wanted to do tonight were get a good spot for the parade on Main Street, so we could see it with snoap (and because the last time - our first time - at MVMCP we didn't get a great spot for the parade), and then ride Space Mountain with the holiday overlay cause last time it shut down early and we didn't get a chance to ride it. So with those as priorities, and the parade being at 8:30 (well kicking off at 8:30), we initially thought maybe we'd go ride Space, but we looked around and realize that Main Street was looking SUPER full, so we nixed the Space Mountain plan and went looking for a spot for the parade. Wish us luck!

Yea same....I'm stocking up on Target gift cards! LOL That bride piece though - the FOMO is real. If you're there before we are and it's there, pick me up the smallest one and I'll pay you back! (mostly joking but also a little bit not... LOL)

DUDE THE WEATHER IS NUTS. My brother moved out here this year from Utah and I'm telling him he is the one who brought the cold weather - we haven't had these types of cold snaps in years! Bonkers.

How does Festival of the Arts work? It looks like Bonner is only there until the 26th- will his art be available if I’m there in February? Or does the art leave with the artist?
the art is there the whole time, as long as they can keep it in stock/restock it. The artist is just there for their time to do signing and stuff, but you can definitely get art by artists that aren't there (as long as it's in stock). I just get FOMO that popular pieces will be gone and then the restock will happen after I'm gone :)

Thank you so much! Btw, your FArts trip report from last year inspired me to book our trip for February- it sounded like so much fun!

oh my goodness that's so kind! I mostly write them for me to re-live so it's super heartening to hear that it helped someone else. I hope you have a GREAT time!! It's far and away my favorite festival :D

Spot Squatting and Snack Swallowing - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 7)

We wandered down Main Street, looking for any open spots on the curb. It was only 7:15 but basically all the spots were taken! We did find one taped off spot where the curb had given way to being on the street, so Trevor stayed there and I kept moving, and finally down near the end I found a spot on the curb.
IMG_4132.jpg
Not too bad!
IMG_4133.jpg
See, very close to the end.

Since it was only 7:20, we decided to divide and conquer. Trevor would stay and save our spot, and I would go and get some of the food we had on our "must try" list. Trevor was feeling slightly off anyways, so it worked to let him rest for a bit.

I went through the Emporium to take a quick look at the party-specific merchandise - nothing caught my eye but I sent Trevor a few pictures in case there was something he may want. But my first stop was Sleepy Hollow! I mobile ordered the Orange Chicken Tenders: Fried chicken tenders with orange-soy glaze, glass noodles, green onions, and crispy garlic, the Szechuan Cauliflower:
Spicy breaded cauliflower tossed in Szechuan-soy glaze, and then the Milk and Cookies Mousse: Brown sugar cookie cake topped with chocolate chip cookie dough mousse, milk mousse, and chocolate chip cookies.
IMG_4138.jpg
Once over at Sleepy Hollow it took about 10 min for the mobile order to be ready, and while I was waiting, I'd placed a mobile order for the food I was most excited for: The Baked Brie Flatbread: brie-cheese spread, mango chutney, green apples, arugula, almonds, and a honey drizzle, from Pinocchio Village Haus. One of the benefits of mobile order is noticing food items you didn't realize were available - in this case, breadsticks! I love breadsticks so I added those to the order too.

Anyways, that mobile order placed, my order from Sleepy Hollow was ready!
IMG_4139.jpg
IMG_4140.jpg
A slightly better picture here - orange chicken on the right, Szechuan cauliflower on the left. I got everything balanced (those white containers were not as flat on the bottom as you'd think! They were a bit rounded, so I had to get it all set so I could walk with my tray up to Pinocchio Village Haus.

The little side path up the castle to Fantasyland was closed off (I don't remember why) so I had to go around the long way up to Pinocchio Village Haus, around the Hall of Presidents and by the Tangled restrooms, etc. But I got my flatbread and breadsticks!
IMG_4141.jpg
I was pretty proud of myself - I got everything all set on one tray and made my way back to Main Street (still going the long way round by the Liberty Belle) without spilling anything or running into anyone! Woohoo! It was a pretty full tray, which actually was easier - helped prop up/keep the chicken and cauliflower upright.

When I found Trevor it was more crowded than it had been earlier, and he had apparently recruited some of the people next to him to help save my spot. :) But we settled in and started trying the food! The Brie flatbread was DELICIOUS - I loved it. Like, legit one of my favorite quick service meals ever. The apple chunks were good and fresh and were a good match with the brie and the bread was soft and yummy. Trevor really likes brie on baguettes but he doesn't like mixing it with fruit, so I told him to just think of it as a very flat baguette so he tried it, but still was like "no". Cause he's wrong. More for me. :)
Over to the cauliflower - it was good but spicier than I thought it would be, which was a point in its favor. I do wish it would have been crispier, but I'm sure part of that was me carrying it all around. I should have gotten the flatbread first and then gotten the cauliflower and the chicken, but instead I got it first and then the flatbread. Oh well. The orange chicken was good too - all three of the dishes were winners! Slightly unusual, but pleasantly so. :D

The breadsticks had a good flavor but they were a bit cold and hard, which was a bummer. As far as the dessert, the cookies and cream mousse, the milk mousse was a bit weird - tasted like cheesecake and I don't like cheesecake at all. So that wasn't my favorite. The cookie dough mousse underneath though was very good - we liked that a lot.

After we ate, it was about 8ish - the curb was super full up, and still half an hour until the parade started. They did come by and give a "security" briefing - essentially you could sit on the curb with your feet in the street but if you wanted to stand you had to stand on the curb (aka not in the gutter). That was exciting - we could sit! Woot. :) I did see plenty of spots in Frontierland as I was walking back and forth, but it only snoaps on Main Street so...compromises. :)

Trevor then went off - he was a bit cold and he was thinking he'd look at buying some of the party merchandise to keep warm. He went off looking around and then made it back:
IMG_4142.jpg
He bought the green MVMCP long sleeve shirt. Looking good! :)

We settled in to wait for the 20 min or so til the parade made it to us. I had to take another picture of the tree - so pretty!
IMG_4144.jpg
And so big!!

PXL_20241118_014939445.MP.jpg
It was kind of crazy to see Main Street so packed, and just the air of anticipation.

They did bring out the Kringle Krew, which was super fun.

I liked the energy they brought and the whole singing along and clapping and such - it was great! At the end they had some photographers taking pictures with folks but they missed our whole section entirely which I was a bit sad about, but you can't win them all. And then, the parade!!
IMG_4148.jpg

The Parade! - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 8)

I didn't realize the snoap was basically going the whole time - this is cliche and silly but it was super magical. The Christmas music and the characters and the floats - it was fantastic. This whole post is just going to be parade pictures so if that's not your thing, feel free to skip. :)
IMG_4156.jpg
Mary and Bert! In not-their-Jolly-Holiday outfits!

IMG_4225.jpg
The 7 Dwarfs! Too bad they weren't meeting this year.

But my favorite part of the parade was all the princesses.
IMG_4241.jpg
Cinderella in her carriage!
IMG_4246.jpg
IMG_4247.jpg
We deliberately sat on this side of the street, cause last year we were on the opposite side. :)
IMG_4250.jpg
Its a bit hard to see but I love the "C" monogram or logo or whathaveyou in that back window of the carriage.

IMG_4262.jpg
IMG_4269.jpg
Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip! We watched some vlogs ahead of time and knew she'd likely be on this side, so that was another reason for sitting on this side - to see my favorite princess!

IMG_4306.jpg
I also like the Toy Soldiers. :)

As a note, I don't remember seeing Tally the Elf at this parade! Maybe we just missed him but I don't think he was out, which is a bit of a bummer but at the time we didn't know what we were missing, so it was just awesome.

And then, Santa!!
IMG_4320.jpg

It was fantastic - we could sit, we had a great view, and the snoap was falling...it was everything I wanted it to be. Even Trevor had warmed up a bit and wasn't really cold anymore. Just a great time. :)

I remember reading some commentary on how the parade music had changed but I wasn't familiar enough with the old parade to really notice a difference, and the new music was mostly Nutcracker music anyways which I absolutely love, so for me, it was fantastic. :D

Holiday Ride and Holiday Fireworks! - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 9)

The parade was over at about 9:15ish, and the next timed thing we wanted to see was the fireworks at 10. I figured we had *just* enough time to do Space Mountain - I think it was posting 20 minutes? It's hard to see in the picture but I think it was something a bit low like that.
IMG_4323.jpg
Cause I think my thought was we would get on hopefully by 9:40 be off by 9:45, be out of that stupid long exit queue by 9:50, and be able to roll up to see the fireworks just in time for them to start at 10. Would it work?!

Well, 6 minutes later we were up to where we could see the two tracks, so that was a good sign. They were using a bunch of switchbacks up there so it took us another 15ish minutes but by 9:37, we were getting on the ride - woot!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Space mountain.jpeg
It was worth the wait, with the holiday overlay! They were playing rock Christmas music (like "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"0 and there were red and green projection lights that made it light enough inside that you could actually see the track, which made it both less intense but more terrifying. I would SWEAR you could touch the track at some points, though I know that must just be an illusion. I was also surprised by how close to the floor the track gets a lot of the time too! But it was awesome - we had lots of fun. I wish the line was short enough to ride it again.

Anyways! We made it out of the exit by 9:43, so we were running ahead of schedule - off we went to the hub to grab a spot for the fireworks. We got a little distracted though, cause we had some time - pictures!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Tomorrowland_8.jpeg
I've never seen a photographer in this spot, so that was kind of a fun bonus.

The photographer over by the rocks at the Tomorrowland entrance/exit didn't have a line, so of course we hopped in there.

2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Tomorrowland.jpeg
This type of "blowing something out of your hands" is one of my favorite magic shots. :)

We made it to the hub at 9:50, and amazingly enough, there were still photographers out, so we stopped. Again. At this point I guess you know what you're in for with one of my trip reports. :)
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Cinderella castle_5.jpeg
Then it was time to get serious about our fireworks spot. We moved through the hub and found a spot where we'd have to stand, but it wasn't bad!
PXL_20241118_025451016.jpg
Definitely very centered! Honestly, while I do think you need to line up early for a good parade spot, it is 100% possible to just roll up and get a good fireworks spot. :)

Such a good fireworks show - one of my favorites, with the Christmas music and everything. Beautiful. :)

Honestly, we were doing great - it was 10:15, we still had almost 2 hours of party time and we'd done the major things we'd wanted to do. The only thing left was cookies!

We did kind of get pushed by the crowd over towards Liberty Square, so we just went with it. Picture!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Liberty square_7.jpeg
Bummer that it's a bit askew, and I know it's no dreamlights (we never did get to see those in person) but I do like this snowflake projection on the castle.

We also saw that the Muppet photo op didn't have a line, so we headed that way but guess who we saw?
IMG_4330.jpg
Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen!

Characters and Cookies - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 10)

That was fun, seeing Princess Tiana. But time for our picture!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Liberty square_2.jpeg
Snowing! :)

At this point we were a little bit at loose ends, so we figured we'd just kind of tour all the cookie spots and do whatever struck our fancy. So we started to head towards Frontierland but I saw the gazebo and remembered that earlier Mary Poppins had been meeting there! We walked over there but it was Mirabel and Bruno from Encanto in the gazebo. But it was good timing - their line was closed and they were about done meeting, and the CM said that Mary would be coming out in just a few minutes and there was only one person lining up for her, so we could be second. Woot!

Trevor waited while I quickly ran to the restroom, and he got to see Mirabel and Bruno as they left -
PXL_20241118_032446544.jpg

They got to do a little dance with them! I came up right at the end - oh well. :)
IMG_4333.jpg
We waited a little bit - I thought it just looked so pretty with the bushes all lit up.

But within 5 minutes, we were meeting Mary Poppins!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_20.jpeg

So fun. :)

Afterwards, we kept walking into Adventureland! The plan was to circle the park getting cookies. :)
IMG_4337.jpg
I did love the Christmas lights around the Jingle Cruise.

We did stop and get the Cranberry Citrus Dole Whip:
IMG_4339.jpg
That was different, but pretty good. Is there a bad dole whip flavor?
Incredibles Coincidence I Think Not GIFs | Tenor

Also, this festive skull and crossbones on Pirates -
IMG_4340.jpg
Definitely a mood. :) The line was for Jack Sparrow, and was a bit too long for us to want to wait, sadly.

At the cookie spot near here, we got Red Velvet cookies with apple cider. But the apple cider tasted WEIRD. We did not like it.

As we wended our way into Frontierland, we spotted the Reindeer Wranglers and watched them finish up their set:

They're fun - it's a shame we found them at the end of their set.

We kept going and getting cookies - I don't remember what kind we got a Columbia Harbor House but they had hot chocolate there and the hot chocolate was warm! Definitely redeemed the nasty apple cider. :)

As we kept walking, we found the Tinkerbell lantern photo op:
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_17.jpeg

I think the next spot for cookies was Gaston's Tavern, which had gingerbread cookies and had Egg Nog. The Egg Nog was pretty good - which I'm not gonna lie was kind of unexpected. :D

Then we ran into another one of the special photo ops - this one is a long exposure one where the CM walks behind you with a lightstick. They turned out fun!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_13.jpeg
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_12.jpeg
This photo op was right over by Storybook Circus, so we'd basically made our way all the way around the park (except for Tomorrowland) in like 30 minutes, cause it was just slightly after 11 pm. Not too shabby!

Gingerbread Cookies Make a Good Present - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 11)

The photo op was right by where the polar bears were meeting! Not gonna lie, I didn't even know there were polar bears, and I'm still not sure why they were meeting and greeting, but we finished the photos and there was literally no line (just finishing the meet they were doing) so like, why not!
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Storybook circus_2.jpeg

We hit the Tomorrowland cookie spots (we'd started to wise up and ask for multiple cookies...I was sticking them all in my Peter Pan book bag that was surprisingly spacious!)

We made our way back to the hub, and took a few more pictures:
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Plaza garden east_3.jpeg
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_10.jpeg
The line for this particular photo op was WAY shorter now than it was at the beginning of the party. Honestly, that's my main party pro tip (for both MVMCP and MNSSHP) - wait to do the cookies/trick or treating and the photo ops until near the end of the party, as you still can do it but the lines are WAAY shorter.

At this point, it was 11:23, and we'd pretty much done everything we wanted to. Honestly, come to think of it now I'm not sure why we didn't ride Space Mountain again, but we didn't. Instead, Trevor ran back to Gaston's Tavern 'cause he wanted more gingerbread cookies! I was like yea no I'm not walking back there but have fun!

On the way he saw a stiltwalking elf:
PXL_20241118_042753470.MP.jpg
And then back at Gaston's, I think the CMs were a bit punchy: they apparently saw Trevor's birthday pin and were like "let's sing Happy Birthday!" So they sang to him, and then the part where you say "Happy Birthday Dear [name]" they all crowded around super close so they could read his name. And then they gave him like 8 cookies! Happy Birthday indeed. And super cute - I was sorry I missed it when he described it to me afterwards. :)

I'd gone forward to the area by the Christmas tree and was looking in the art store they have in the Town Hall (ended up buying a postcard from Festival of the Arts like 2 years ago that I was still sad I missed so BONUS!). And then the parade started going by so I got to see a bit of the parade again!
IMG_4349.jpg
Here come the princesses!

Trevor met up with me there too - we each caught the princess float a little bit. :D And then I was super proud of myself - the parade finished passing by and we darted across the street and got to take the photos in front of the tree with basically no wait! That was a photo op we'd missed last year, so #winning.
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Magic kingdom park_2.jpeg

Then it was just time for more photos up and down Main Street - playing again the law of averages to try and get a fun shot with the castle and the tree and not too many people crowding in the background. If that's possible. :D
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Main street usa_24.jpeg
I do like that they take pictures with the tree in the background, not just the castle. :)

2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Main street usa_15.jpeg
2024-11-18 - Magic Kingdom Park - Main street usa_10.jpeg
This is a bit busy of a photo but I love Goofy there with his presents! Trevor and I weren't sure where to look and we each ended up looking at different spots, but it worked - Trevor's looking at the presents toppling over and I'm looking at Goofy!

There was the stage show at midnight - isn't the castle pretty?!

(Picture limit! I'd say only one more post but it's really two...#sorrynotsorry)

All the Pictures! - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 12)

More pictures! Sorry, I know it's a bit self indulgent.

Mistletoe with the snoap! :) I do like how it turned out with the snoap - at this time in the night the snoap goes on and off periodically, so it's just luck of the draw. :)

Had to take a picture of the castle with the decorations on Main Street and the snoap - gorgeous. :)

At this point we ducked into the Emporium a bit but didn't end up buying anything, and then just slowly made our way out of the park - it was just after midnight.

I love that snowflake on the train station!

Couldn't forget a picture with the topiaries. We actually had some fun with one of the features on Trevor's phone - you could take two separate pictures of people in front of something and then the camera would merge them -

It didn't turn out half bad! It almost looks real, like we took the picture together.

From here, time to hit the monorail and head back to the resort! We had a great party, but we were tired - time to sleep!

Good Night Lobby! - Sunday, Nov 17 2024 (part 13)

As we headed towards the monorail, we saw one pass by - with Christmas colors!

The nice thing about the resort monorail line is that there wasn't a big line - 3 minutes later our monorail was pulling in!

And off we went - it only took about 12 minutes on the monorail to go around the loop and get off at the Grand Floridian! Not as fast as staying at the Contemporary, but not too shabby. :) They were moving very quick, which was nice.

The lobby was so quiet at this time of night!

So peaceful, and you could get a lovely view of the gingerbread house. And fully hear the Christmas music they play.

What a lovely way to end the night! Back in the room we found that we had missed call and a voicemail - apparently they call you and leave a message with the park hours and activities and weather for the next day! Kind of unnecessary, but also kind of nice. :) We were ready to try out the bed and see if it was as comfy as it looked!
