Update to the .75 Ebay nut!

I primarily sell items on Ebay, but 2 Fridays ago, purchased an item (gingerbread cookie mold) for $35.00, plus $10.00 shipping on a Buy-It-Now. Obviously, I paid immediately and was excited because the seller listed that it would be shipped Priority Mail (didn't list any other type of shipping) and that she shipped out within 24 hours of receiving payment. Of course I figured she'd send it out on Monday rather than Saturday. Anyway, on Wednesday last week, I received an Email from her stating that she wanted an additional .75 for handling charges that she usually adds to the price. There was a mention of it in the payment info., but because it was a flat shipping rate, I assumed (yes, I know one should never assume :rotfl2: ), that the .75 was included-but no...and she was insistant that she required this .75.

So eventhough I hadn't received the item, I paid it because my 100% positive feedback of 101 isn't worth ruining over .75.

WELL...today (Monday 12/12-bought the item 12/2), I received the item. It was shipped STANDARD MAIL, not Priority as stated, and it had been shipped out Wednesday (she told me she shipped it out last Monday).

What would you do? I emailed her with my concerns, but other than that, I don't know... I run things so much differently as a seller-this whole transaction was just so disappointing.

I would NEG her, some ret. neagtives are SOOOO worth it!!!!!

Ok, because I ebay (buy & sell), I will tell you what I would do. I would definately call her on the regular shipment vs the priority that you paid. If she offers to give you monies back, accept a reasonable amount and give a neutral feedback stating item was good(if that is true), but delivery style & time was not as promised. If she tries to get "funky", then thats when you totally get ebay involved & require them to hash out her wrong doing-and make her accountable. But definately leave truthful feedback, good or bad, as this is what the rest of the ebay society is basing their bids. You were really good, I would have just requested my money back...if there is a flat rate of shipment, that .75 should have been factored in. Who does that...I mean really...adds a handling charge??!! Just my 2 cents :teeth:

Unfortunately for me feedback has become a joke. If you leave a negative you get a negative, my first was because I got $80 worth of moldy books and no response for over 60 days from him, so left neg, yep, got it back immediately. I feel as if a negative should be left so others can see where this lady is ripping others off. I had a lady tonight short me $2 on shipping when my whole profit wasn't even $2, I chalked it up to it is the holidays. Upsetting on my end, what a waste of time but why bother someone over $2.

Hope this gets worked out, unacceptable!

Oh and to add to my last post, yes, I leave negatives and have them! Most are retaliatory but I want to know what is going on. If I buy something from a buyer I want a true representation of their product, not a fast shipping when the item was crap.
