I was so hoping the same problem would not hit us like some of you. This su*ks. We can leave a day earlier, but you know that stinks too. We can leave on Friday after Thanksgiving, but then that's 2 more nights and bigger crowds.

They are only offering vouchers if we don't like any of the other flights. I have an email to one of my bosses who knows someone at USA3000.

I was so celebrating our 3 week mark!!! :headache: :sad1:

UPDATE-

USA3000 gave me a full refund on the return flight, thanks Lewis I looked up their T&C's! I booked on AIRTRAN for $46 cheaper and 10:30AM rather than 8:30AM! :cool1: :cool1:
HAPPY DANCING AGAIN!!

When and where were you flying out of? I'm booked with them Dec. 3rd and 10th. I called them last week after reading of cancellations they told me our flight was ok. We're flying out of Newark. My aunt just flew them on Wed. Orlando to Newark she said her flight was 1/2 empty.

Flying out of PHL on 11/27 and we were returning 12/5. We can leave a day earlier but it annoys me, we were planning on going to Sea World on Sunday, I purchased 6 tickets one day one park passes and that would take us M-Sat. UGH!!

If they don't get you to your destination the day of your reservation they have to offer you a REFUND.

USA3000 didn't offer us a refund when they cancelled us on a Sat from Newark to Orlando. They wanted to put us on a very late Continental flight & wouldn't offer a refund because they offered an alternative flight. I learned my lesson & will fly Continental next time even though it'll cost me more money, but I know they always offer more than one flight a day.

As long as they get you to your destination the same day as your reservation they don't have to give you a refund. They have the right to put you on another carrier. Refunds are given to the passengers with the dirt cheap fares, booking on another airline is being given to passengers who're paying higher fares. Keep in mind a refund may not give you enough money to book another airline.

Look at the their website, the rules are spelled out.

BTW the question isn't just how many seats they sold for a flight. It's also the average fare the passengers are paying. If USA3000 isn't making money on the flight they may cancel it.

Different airlines have different thresholds for offering refunds. Many of the major airlines will grant refunds if they change your flights by more than 2 or 4 hours, though apparently not USA 3000.

The same day rule is common with the charter airlines. Makes some sense since they only run one flight a day for many of the routes and they don't want to have to offer refunds if they make a flight change.

I agree the scheduled, "regular", airlines will offer a refund if the change is more than a few hours.

We had the same thing happen to us with our USA3000 flight about 3 weeks ago. They called and told me our flight in March was cancelled. Their explanation was that normally by this time they like to have the plane at least half way booked. Apparently, they only had 7 seats booked....my group had 6 of those seats.

We are still waiting for our full refund. I called late last week and they told me it will be in the next billing cycle....whatever that means. :confused3

Luckily, for us, Continental had a similar flight for the same price. I was actually even able to add on a day. :cool1: So it all worked out in the end...now if I could just get the refund.....

They cancelled my flight 5 weeks before my vaca! It was booked forever! And it took them 4 weeks to refund my money! I used a debit card so the money was there as soon as the bank recieved it! It was exactly 4 weeks! The girl told me that it takes 72hours from the time they start the refund paper work unitl it is fully processed! Then she told me it could take 5 to 6 weeks from them to be credited to you're credit card! I said well I used a debit card she said she wasn't sure! I said well the bank doesn't hold anything they have to credit any posted credits asap! (I worked at a bank 6yrs) She said I really don't know now I was thinking it would take a week maybe 2 weeks tops! It took 4 weeks! Thank God we had a credit card to use to book the new airfare! I said god forbid I had no other means! They never even offered me another flight they automatically offered a refund! But they told me Southwest and Air tran were offering comparable fares! So I went with southwest since that was my original plan but I couldn't pass up the deal USA3000 had! Now I will definitely pass up any deals they have when I fly again! They can cancel up til the day prior to you're fllight! I couldn't imagine! She did tell me if they don't cancel from a week prior to you're trip it is rare that they will cancel!
CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
