Len Testa in his www.TouringPlans.com blog predicted that the new WDW promo announcement (4/3 & 5/2) would be made public sometime between Monday the 28th and Thursday the 1st

I never thought an announcement would be made on Sunday. That made no sense at all. (TAs get this info first - and some are closed on Sundays.) Most major announcements regarding bookings are made Tuesday through Friday.

Don't need the rumor mill to tell me we are likely to get a new sales campaign sometime soon, though, with FD ending. I would expect another 4th quarter campaign first, and then a 1st/2nd out within the next 2-3 weeks, though possibly at the same time.

Disney’s Buy-4-Get-7 Available Now

Word on the street is that Disney’s Buy-4-Get-7 deal is available now, if you ask for it specifically when speaking with a Disney agent. (We’re hearing the official announcement is still going to be later this week.) SEE UPDATE BELOW:

UPDATE: Word is that Disney’s pulled the offer from their reservation system as of late Monday morning, or told their agents to stop offering it, until the official announcement later this week.

That being said, the information below is what we were able to piece together while the offer was available. If you’ve managed to get something booked, post the details below please.

Travel dates are November 1, 2009 through December 24, 2009 and January 3, 2010 through March 27, 2010.

The deal is Buy-5-Get-2-Free at values and B-4-G-3-Free at mods and deluxes.

We’re told that tickets have to equal the number of nights of your stay, so annual passholders can’t buy one-day tickets. This may change, as we’ve not heard from an AP holder yet who has taken advantage of the deal.

Lots of this information is still unconfirmed. If you call today, post your results here, please.

I just called and changed my reservation and they said that nothing is offically posted but if you ask they will honor the 4/3 discount. I just saved about $1500 because we are coming March 6-13 staying at Wilderness Lodge woods view bunk bed.

This is a great offer at a Disney resort, but number of rooms available is limited. There are a lot of people on the Rumored Deals? thread that said the same thing. They were simply saying they wanted to book the new promo and, while they had to hold for several minutes, the castmembers were able to book it for them.

Now, I'm waiting to see if Disney will extend the promo through my travel dates!

I just called Disney and checked to see if my packages would change. Because I have 11 nights, 10 fun and park hopper tickets, with deluxe dinning. The CM could only do the deal with 10 night and then would have to add the extra night. Just the 10 nights with deluxe dineing and my tickets was only 33 dollars less than my 11 nights with the free dinning. So when you add the 11th day in it would cost more than what I have currently with free dining. Same with the other package I am paying for for my sister in law at the value resort. The free dinning is still better.

I would love for Disney to have free dining for our travel dates (May 27th through June 5th). Free dining is a much better deal for us than the buy 4/get 3 free. But, I'd be happy with any kind of discount. Keeping my fingers, toes, arms, legs and sometimes even my eyes crossed that the deal will be extended.

That's 3 FREE hotel nights and 3 extra days on your theme park admission tickets, equivalent to a 43% discount on your room and tickets! You must buy a package that includes at least 4 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 4-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the 3 FREE nights and the 3 extra days on your tickets.

Buy a 5-night/5 day vacation package at a VALUE resort, get a 7-night/7-day package. That's 2 FREE hotel nights and 2 extra days on your theme park admission tickets, equivalent to a 29% discount on your room and tickets! You must buy a package that includes at least 5 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 5-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the 2 FREE nights and the 2 extra days on your tickets.

Extra days on a ticket don't cost that much, so the primary savings are on the hotel room portion, so the higher category hotels offer the most total savings.

To calculate your approximate savings on a "buy 4, get 7" package at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort:

Multiply the room rate (2009 or 2010) times 3 (savings of 3 nights' room rate).
Add $9.58 per person (ticket savings for the 3 extra days).

I have a question. So when you get a quote from that link, does that quote include the discount. For instance, I was looking at 7 nights at the GF in GV rooms with the tickets. The total was ~$3000. Is the pre or post discount. Seems to be post discount, but I just wanted to confirm with some of the more experienced DISers.

I will be calling on the phone regardless, but I am just playing with numbers in my head right now.
