Alison,
Hope all goes well with Sprout. Had a few problems this weekend with my 16 year old tabby called Garfield who lives with my Mum. I called Mum as usual on Saturday to be told he had been very frightened by the fireworks and wouldn't eat his dinner,ould sniff it and then walk away. This was not good news as his evening dinner includes his medicine for kidney problems. By last night I called Mum wo told me there was no improvement he would drink water and wander a bit but was mainly sleeping, still no eatting. Took him to the vets this evening and the vet decided that Garfield had an infection as his right glands were up. This meant his throat was probably sore and therefore he didn't want to eat. Antibiotics were given and 20 minutes later back at home he ate a bit of fish. Hopefully once the medicine kicks in he will eat more, plus he has another shot of antibiotics to come tomorrow.
