Yay, I got tix to Tweeter! I've seen Aerosmith about 5-6 times since the 70's, now my DD16 will get to see them! I love it when my kids like "my" music! :cool1:

Hey did ya get them cuz I posted and alerted you??? That would be cool if sooo !! And yes my DD is 12 play drums, DH bass, so he got her into all kinds of rock bands... but she I think will find Aerosmith to be quite a shock.. cua ya know we are like soooo over the hill at 39 :rotfl: So the band being older than us, well and they can jam... oh ya wait till she sees that!! :Pinkbounc

Have fun! I took DS last Nov ON his 13th birthday. There were so many teens with parents. I just wish we had gotten floor seats. The boys get very interactive - physically interactive - using that catwalk (our show had a double catwalk, in fact.)

Too bad I blew my '06 concert budget - 3 show this year, not cheap, ya know?

Post us a review then, will ya?

as there touring does this mean they will have a new album out? I hope so.

I believe it's just another "greatest hits" compilation or something.

Have a great time.

Last year it was "Rockin the Joint." Do you have that? It's not new stuff; it's live stuff, but it is SO GOOD. Joe on "Draw The Line"....wow!

Would be great to have some new stuff. Honkin on Bobo was good too, but remakes (albiet very original) of old blues stuff.

Miss Missy - I am never sure about cameras. If you want to be extra careful, you'd have to call the venue. I always take a camera, but I do so very discreetly, ya know?

Kinda OT - did anyone see Two and a Half Men last night? Steven Tyler was on it. Well, you never saw him, but you heard him. he was renting the house next door to Charlie and kept bugging Cralie sining all the time. Then they got into a fight and Steven kicked Charlie's butt! It was pretty funny! (Alan to Charlie: Dude may look like a lady, but you fight like a little girl.") :rotfl2:

EDIT: oh, hope you have fun at the show tonight!!!

Have a great time, Miss Missy! Going to a rock concert makes you feel like a kid again. I sure felt that way last week at The Who.

Want to hear my Aerosmith concert story? It's not pretty!

They toured in the late '80's. My friends and I wanted to go, but missed getting tickets when they went on sale. Then, the Continental Arena reconfigured the stage or something and they sold tickets for seats that were previously held out because of obstructed view.

We sat to the far corner of the stage, but in the fourth row, so we were very close to the band.

So Steve Tyler did a song (I forget which now) during which he took big slugs from a bottle of champagne and spit it out into the crowd. A lot of girls were waving their arms up trying to catch the expectorated champagne.

Then he moved to our side of the stage to do his thing, and splat! He hit me right between the eyes with his spit-out champagne. Yuck! It seemed like my face took that whole shot.

I didn't care that it was Steve Tyler; I don't want to be hit with anybody's spit! I was totally skeeved and complained to my friends, who thought it was a riot. I can be prissy at times, and knowing that, they thought it was hysterical that I was the one who got hit with Steve's spit.

Well, have fun, Missy, and I hope you don't get spit on by Steve Tyler unless you want it.

I'm sure you left by now but if not just a heads up. We saw them on Saturday night and Steven Tyler said that he was considering cancelling the concert because he was having throat problems. I will say what songs he sang (maybe 5), he was awesome!!!! But, they cut out a lot of stuff, played some blues and Joe Perry did a lot of solo stuff.

Hope he's feeling better for you :goodvibes
