UPDATE: PHOTOS ADDED 2/7/04 Magic....GREAT CRUISE...GREAT PEOPLE!!

Drommer0.

I hope you do not really mind that I took your pic and posted it!!! If you don't want it posted...please just tell me and I will remove it!!!

I was the one talking to you across the dock!!!! I was so impressed that you hung your CC towel!!!! That is definately something I do when we cruise other lines...I always proudly display my DCL stuff!!! Always a great conversation starter!!! I could tell you were missing the Magic!!!

KarenB....I only used one 128 mb memory stick. I would delete photos I did not want. I think I took about 202 pics on that one 128 mb stick!!

I don't mind you using my picture. It made my wife's day. She was wishing she was standing out there with me. Yes, we are proud of our DCL. We have been DVC members for 6 years. This was our first vacation without a child in 20 years. We will be back on Disney next year. Average age on the Princess boat was 60. There were 20 children under the age of 18 out of 2663 passengers. However, Disney was more expensive. Drink prices were about 2.00 less per drink (Margarita was 3.95). Soda package was 22.50.

Thanks again for getting my picture. I had hoped someone would do what you did, and it was nice to be able to retrieve from the net. Again, I don't mind at all.

drommer0....it was difficult trying to converse across the dock like that, but I had wanted to ask you if you were familiar with the DIS....I had a feeling you would be!!!!

It really is a small world, after all!!!!

Thanks for taking my picture. We were orginally scheduled to take a Disney cruise when my daughter had to cancel. She said mom and dad go cruising but not on disney. That is how we ended up on a Princess cruise, celebrating our 25th anniversay.
I will say it is totally different from Disney, the food was better, more formal, but the entertainment was not as good. We will be back on Disney next January. Thanks again for taking my picture. I was wondering if someone would.:D

LOL I had a feeling that picture would be of a DISr! :teeth:

I have been a lurker on these boards for almost 3 years. I've gotten very good info for my 2 DCL cruises. This board is a great relief from the winters in Minnesota. Since you live in New York you understand the need to escape winter. We left -24 degrees(-42 wind chill) and 16 inches of new snow to go on our cruise. Now that we are back we think we only have 6 weeks of winter left. That we can live with. Looking forward to next year's cruise. January 8 on the Disney magic. Using DVC points. That's the greatest. Thanks for your replies. It is strange that a New Yorker and a Minnesotan meet across the dock in St. Martin and then meet again on the internet. It truly is a small world after all.

Sea Spray....60's night was a complete tribute to the Beatles!!!! It was great.

They played all the early Beatles songs like "I wanna hold your hand", She was just 17....,etc.

It was really a ton of fun. The Cruise Staff all dressed up in fashions from the 60's and the band dressed up to look like the Beatles...they played fast songs and slow songs as well. There was a great big British Flag backdrop behind the stage....it really was a great time!!!

Thanks so much for the info, MJ! It sounds like a blast!! I am excited about this now, I'm definitely going to go to 60's night! :)

MJ loved your pictures. We also had Beckie as our server. Was Adam her assistant? They worked together in October on our first cruise. We were hoping to have them again this June. Thanks.:wave2:

MariettaC....we had Becky on our cruise last January when she was just an assistant server. Girish was the server. she has since become a server herself.

I tried to get her as our server this trip, but was told she had just boarded the ship on the 7th (same as us) from her vacation and she was just on stand-by that week so not assigned a table.

I got a note to her through one of the dining staff upon embarkation lunch in Parrot Cay and she found us in the dining room later in the week to say hello!!! She really is a special server and person!!!
