First thanks to everyone when I posted that i buried Smokey last week. He was my best friend and I still miss him so much.
But alot has changed since last week. First Butch finally got up and is back to his usual self, thank goodness. Last Friday I went to the SPCA to look and they told me that they had just sent all of the kittens to the local Pet Smart. My daughter went in to look at the kitties and there was one black kitten there. That was exactly what I went there to look for!!! One look and I was forever hooked. I adopted him and brought him home. I named him Sirius Black(ok my Harry Potter obsession is showing).
But there is more to the story. Monday I came home and there was this beautiful calico female that was laying under my neighbor car. I called her and she came over to me. She was the most friendly cat I have ever seen. I loved on her and went in. Later I went out and there she was again. I went over to the neighbor's house and asked if she was theirs and they said no. They didn't know who she belonged to. I brought her in and I think she is pregnant. I am going to put an ad on petfinder about her and call the SPCA 2-3 a week to see if anyone calls looking for her. The SPCA told me that if I kept her they would help me find homes for the babies.
So while I am still missing my baby Smokey, I have had several new doors open up. I know he is watching from the rainbow bridge and knows that I will love these new kitties with all my heart!!!
