Lilfoot flew out of New Jersey on Tuesday and had a stop over in Texas for the night. He had his own handler and was put in the kennel for the night. On Wednesday he boarded another plane to San Jose Costa Rica where my friend and driven to our beach town Playa Zancudo. It was hard letting him go and I have been sad all week but this E-mail from my friend made me feel better:
Here is an E-mail that my friend Debbie gave me about Lilfoot today:
Hi We're home!
Drove all the way through last night, even though it was VERY dark and
scary, but I felt a little safer with that big lug of a dog! He's so funny!
He definitely is not a poodle. You know, the poodles are so agile and
quick and he just kind of lumbers along!
Willow has already let it be known that she isn't ready to be friends yet,
and he is already scared of her! Big baby! And Jazz, well, my big goofy
boy was real happy to meet LittleFoot, but they did all the male posturing
and stuff and then started jumping around the kitchen, playing! The little
dogs like him well enough. You didn't tell me two things....he has gas!!!
And when he drinks water it's like he went for a swim or something!
By the way, I tried him with a whole chicken back this morning and he LOVED
it. He took it right away and started munching away! Of course, I'm trying
to scale down the stuff in my big walk-in freezer so I can shut it off, so I
hope I don't run out of food for him! He's a tank! We love him, and we'll
take good care of him, I promise.
Also, we walked out to the beach today. I took him on a Flexi lead, and he
walked right into the ocean, wagging all the way!
Love ya!
As for the gas thing we never had that trouble with him before. Maybe it was all the traveling and flying? Ihope it goes away!!!
