Update on how packed are the parks during our trip leading up to Easter 2025

Schools in the US don't all take their Easter/Spring breaks at the same time and tends to be more spread out, many older threads in prior years on that topic. Some schools time it for the end of a grading period vs aligning with Easter which is a religious holiday and moves around each year. No idea how it works in the UK.

A few years ago we happened to be at Disney during one of those cheer competitions. If we didn't see signs about it we would not have noticed any difference. I would assume most of the participants are busy during the day either rehearsing or in competitions. Made no difference in the park attendance. Perhaps if you are staying where they do, you might notice larger crowds.

We just returned from 2 weeks (10 park days) at WDW. @VGCgroupie I wish I knew you were in MK on Thursday. I could have brought you a marquee necklace.

We met a ton of families from the UK both in the parks and at the airport.
Would’ve been so cool to meet a fellow disboarder and Disneylander!

Table service at Space 220 (1.5 hours)
Wow! We ate in the lounge and were in and out in less than 30 min! Our waitress greeted us and said that we booked a lounge reservation so it was an "abbreviated experience." She said we could order from the lounge menu or the prix fixe menu. We thought about ordering one prix fixe to share along with something from the lounge menu, but decided to order a few lounge items instead. I don't think the waitress made it back to the kitchen before our food was brought out. It must have been pre-plated and waiting. The calamari was cold as were the fries that came with the sliders. Before we could order a second drink, she was charging us out.

Just got back today from a week splitting Boulder Ridge and AKV and I will say this...it was definitely NOT AS BAD as I imagined it would be. In fact we kept commenting how our February break trip was much worse. We probably also worked the LLs pretty well on our heavier park days but again did not feel ridiculous thank goodness. Hope you had fun!

Yeah I think it was less busy than our Feb and March trips to DL.

I was so unhappy that the wait was so long. Then I took a bite of the beet salad and it may have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. The main was good but not amazing like the salad.
If we ever go again we would chose the lounge over restaurant

Sounds like a great park day and you got your Frozen LLMP! Seems like the LLMP is really working for you, despite the busy time of year.
Yes. This was a great trip and I don’t think it felt like spring break crowds at all. At the resorts or parks.

Have a great trip next Easter I think you will be very happy. We will also be here next April but the week after Easter.

The sun and humidity today was a bit intense for me and had me wondering if I was crazy for booking a trip in August
I learned after my first summer trip a couple lessons beyond basic moisture wicking clothes- cooling hat (branded Mission or something like that on Amazon, make it wet and it cools you down), UV umbrella, cooling towel. Try them and see what’s best for you.

And proper footwear! Second summer was hotter and I learned I had the wrong sandals. I was using Keens that had a cover over the toe portion and in high heat it turned that part of my sandal into a mini-oven and my toes swelled like crazy. Switched to sandals that didn’t cover the toes and it helped keeping down the swelling.

Great tips! I had a neck fan that I put in our bags with bell services and didn’t have it the last day. Cooling towel is a great idea because the neck fan was bulky. Broke down and bought the Star Wars misting fan at HS. it doesn’t work like it should. Basically spraying water in your face 🤣. For sure going to look up the clothes on Amazon because my flight is already booked for August so I’m commited!

Your report has definitely made me feel optimistic about what we can get done, thanks for sharing.

Good luck for August - we were tempted by that time but as a pale Brit, I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle it!
