Update on DD and her stomach bug

Well, I called her docter and *GASP* got her in on the same day.

We went in and he said the reason she got it so bad was because she was on antibiotics for the pnuemonia she had last weekend and the antibiotics killed all the good bacteria in her intestine so there was nothing to fight the bad stuff and that her immune system was probably pretty low from fighting the pnuemonia.

It was getting kind of scary, but hopefully with some yoghurt and acidophilus she will be on the road to recovery.

Poor little girl! I'm so glad she should be on the road to recovery very soon. I bet when she feels better she'll be eating you out of house and home!

Might I ask what antibiotics she was on? We are tracking this at the hospital I intern at. We are finding that certain antibiotics that are being used for pneumonia is resulting in many patients coming down with a nasty stomach bug.
