This may be in a stickied thread, but I just wanted to share because I didn’t see it right off.
We were at AK this week and approached guest relations inside the gate to ask for a DAS. We were told that “they understood how important this was for guests and therefor there was a special guest relations location inside the park so we didn’t have to wait in line”. There were only 4 people in front of us, but we were very clearly told to go to the GR location to the left of the giant tree.
We spent 45 minutes walking in the rain from place to place trying to find it. Two ice cream vendors and two merchantile staff told us that it didn’t exist and we needed to go to the front of the park. One person at first aide told us the same, then another person popped out of a room and told us it was a kiosk to the right of the tree.
We went at looked at every kiosk with no success. By then my son was crying and saying he wanted to go back to the hotel.
Finally, I stopped at a storefront called “ticketing booth” right in front of the tree. That was apparently the secret name for guest relations and we were able to get the DAS with almost no info given- because my son was crying, frantically biting his clothing, and pacing in circles.
I called guest relations and they did make it right. I really just wanted others to know that the application location at AK is right in front of the tree and the entrance to “Bugs Life”- now you know more than most cast members!
