For those of you following along, Augusta's surgery was Tuesday. It went very well, though her leg will never be normal due to the amount of arthritic changes already present.

She came home late Wednesday afternoon. The first night was very difficult, but all of us got a good night's rest last night. Her appetite is excellent (yes, she is 100% Labrador!) and she is less depressed and lethargic than she was yesterday. I even got some nice Labby tail thumps this morning. I think that in the next few days, we will see even more nice progress.

So, all in all, we have made a good decision to split the Disney trip between me and Ray. I am now in Annewjerz' position of trying to think about what lenses I need to tote down with me for a mere four nights. I like the idea of taking lenses that would force me into looking at things differently and getting new types of subjcts and compositions.

Thank you all for your good wishes for my girl.

Thats excellent news!! Glad to hear the surgery is over and it was a success. I know she still has a long road of ahead of her but I remember from past threads she is a real trooper and will make remarkable progress with all your love and support coming her way.

I am going to have a week at Disney all by myself starting next Sunday and while I am taking all my lenses with me I am going to limit myself as to what I take to the parks also in order to force me to look at things a little differently this trip. I have a ticket for MNSSHP for the evening I arrive and then 4 more days to spend in the parks. I am hoping to come home with some good shots. It will be interesting to see what us three women all come up with ;)

Glad to hear all went well and I hope for a speedy recovery for Augusta and for a nice split trip to the World for you and DH. Best Wishes!!:goodvibes

Yayyy! I'm so happy to hear that everything went smoothly. I have been wanting to e-mail you but figured that you probably had a million things on your plate.

Did you order the 80-200 yet? I think I need a new car now, so unfortunately it looks like it might be a little later than early 2010 for me. :sad2:

What parks do you think you'll do while you are there?
