For those of you following along, Augusta's surgery was Tuesday. It went very well, though her leg will never be normal due to the amount of arthritic changes already present.
She came home late Wednesday afternoon. The first night was very difficult, but all of us got a good night's rest last night. Her appetite is excellent (yes, she is 100% Labrador!) and she is less depressed and lethargic than she was yesterday. I even got some nice Labby tail thumps this morning. I think that in the next few days, we will see even more nice progress.
So, all in all, we have made a good decision to split the Disney trip between me and Ray. I am now in Annewjerz' position of trying to think about what lenses I need to tote down with me for a mere four nights. I like the idea of taking lenses that would force me into looking at things differently and getting new types of subjcts and compositions.
Thank you all for your good wishes for my girl.

Give her hugs for us
