UPDATE** NO luck...What are my chances of getting 2-Bedroom BWV December??

There probably are only a very few "standard view" rooms at BWV. When the resort first opened, there was no such thing. This view was created after BWV opened and people were upset when they were given rooms that looked out the front (i.e. parking lot) when they were hoping for Boardwalk view. As people now discovered, the views are actually pretty good and the saving of a few points takes the sting out of not getting a Boardwalk view.

It was for this very reason of not being able to book BWV when I wanted it at the 7 month window that I bought 200 BWV points on a resale contract. Now at least I do have the 11 month window there and was able to get the room I wanted and the week I wanted as well!

I guess we were lucky. DW called this morning and got us a 1br std view for 12/7-12/13. One call, no problems.

It isn't true that people who don't have BWV points never get to stay in standard view 1 or 2-bedroom units. It may be harder at certain times of year, but I called to book a 1-bedroom at BWV for early February and got the standard view on the dates we wanted with no trouble whatsoever. This was only about 4 or 5 months out from our trip. Our points are at Hilton Head.

I'm hoping it isn't as horribly difficult in December as it sounds - we'll be treating my family to a week long vacation, and we're hoping to get a 2-bedroom at BCV or BWV. If it's BWV, then we'll take either standard or preferred view.
