Our town mourns now the lose of her DD who succumb from her injuries in the accident. Please say a prayer for the husband and father of these two beautiful people His name is Tony. Tony kept a beside vigil by his DD after losing his Wife.

How sad. I've been on those boats so many times, having grown up in Baltimore city. Its just mind boggling that it could happen.

I will keep your friends in my prayers. :(

Very Sad...Prayers for that familiy and all the others involved

This is so sad and my hearts go out to all the families involved. I was filling DH is on this tragedy last night and told him that I would not consider getting on a boat again unless at least DD had a life vest on. It's frightening how something like this can happen in the blink of an eye.

That accident was so tragic :( I'm sorry for the families who lost loved ones. I can't imagine what they must've gone through :(

P.S. Not to side track too much on this thread, but I've seen and read about many ferry accidents such as this where people have drowned/died, so when we went to Bermuda last summer I insisted on standing outside of the doors (there was an indoor seating area) even though the mist of the waves completely drenched me (we were in regular clothes, not bathing suits). When we go on our Disney cruise this summer we have to take a "high speed ferry" from Cozumel to Mexico's mainland for the Tulum ruins excursion, and I will again be on the outside of the ferry, hopefully able to jump or swim away if anything should happen. People think I am nuts for these little "quirks" of mine, and you know I used to wear my seatbelt way before it was a law and before the crashtest dummies showed how severe even slow moving impacts can be, but to me it's common sense to keep yourself as safe as possible. I don't think I go overboard with these "fears", I just use common sense and try to keep myself and my family out of potential harm in any given situation. :(

P.P.S. Yes, I do realize that things can happen out of the blue and no one is safe from all accidents, but I just try and use caution when possible. Anyone else think this same way??
