Update in OP! We went with Riviera and loved it! OP: WWYD? 1 bed preferred at Riviera OR 2 bedroom standard at SSR

Cost is nearly the same, and I'm dying to stay at Riviera (it's one of 3 resorts we haven't stayed at yet!), but I'm hung up on the one bathroom thing at Riviera. It'll be my family (2 adult+1 preschooler) + my mother in law. The bed situation will be fine either way.

We have stayed at SSR many, many times and enjoy it but the Skyliner location of the Riviera is so appealing - MIL will be in a scooter and by DS is obsessed with riding it. I also love how compact Riviera is and the food options.

It's for just 3 nights. Is having 1 bathroom a dealbreaker for you? Would it be "worth it" to pay the same amount for a 1 bed at Riviera vs 2 bed at SSR?
Riviera hands down

Riviera. I like being next to Epcot.

I’d pick SSR. For the same-ish points, I’d take the 2Bdrm.

(Full Disclosure: unlike a lot of people, I am a bit indifferent about RIV. I mean, it’s fine, but we would actually be just as good at SSR, even same for same)

Just came back from 4 nights at Riv in a 1Br and I use an ECV…I’d pick the 2 Br at SS…

We‘ve stayed at the RR twice, but in a studio. We’re booked in a one-bedroom unit for 4 nights in November and are very excited. We think it’s a lovely resort. We enjoy the restaurants and think it has a very appealing vibe, but I realize it’s not to everyone’s taste (different strokes….it’s all good! ;) ). Two bathrooms are a wonderful convenience, but are not a deal-breaker for us. Only you can decide if it will considerably improve the quality of your stay. The SSR unit would obviously provide additional privacy as well. I don’t think you can make a bad decision here. I cannot speak to the ease of using an ECV at either resort as I have no experience with that.
