Today was a BLAST!!! I had a great time helping out.

Todd just left to drive home (yes, 7 hours after we left Uno's) and I'm finishing my flatbread from lunch...

Loved the video - needed more ME though, I think...

I'm off to read what Carol posted and then I'm going to bed! I'll upload and post tomorrow... I have a whole weekend of Todd Fun to report on, plus the Disney DVC portion!

I really hope the voicemail went through!!!

Well I think the rain had something to do with it. I escaped it a little as I headed east towards home, but then the torrential downpour started again.

"And it rained....and rained....and rained....and rained........the deluge...."

I did not upload any photos yet. I'm lazy.

And I want to chime in and thank you, too.

Did anyone happen to get a picture of the sleeper chair that was in the model? I am looking for something like that for my living room and being the "blond" that I am I forgot to take a picture.

What software did you use to make the video? Was it Windows Movie Maker or iMovie or something else? I have been having trouble getting music to work with Movie Maker.

I used Movie Maker. I want to get a better program but it's just not in the budget right now.

The video was awesome!!! Great job and I really liked the music.

Robin, the chair is in this video if that will help. I think I uploaded the pic of Jaime in the chair to facebook but I don't think it's the full chair. If it's not there I will try to get it up there tomorrow!

SUNDAY 8/16/09

I had set the alarm for 6:30, but was up before that, like always.

I shower, put on coffee, and get dressed before waking Todd up at 7:00.

We breakfast, put on our pins, and head out the door. I brought the Podcast Cruise photo album Nicole made to show people.

We join the group in front of Doorway to Dreams, Todd is tiara-less today – he thought it was in his bag, but I find it next to the arm of the couch later on that evening. It’s amazing he was recognized at all, really.

Lori, who is also on Weight Watchers, greets me with a Fiber One bar. Awesome!

And it was so great to see Jen and Alyssa again!

We get signed in and head back to the presentation room – Todd is suddenly throwing paper everywhere – and then gets down on the floor to "pick it up" or look for stickers under chairs, whichever you like to call it!

Shanan tries to entice me with donut holes, but as you can see, I only have eyes for myself! Also in this shot is Vicky, who I hadn’t met before!

The Team, getting ready…

Mlholster family – they have already stayed at Bay Lake Tower – in a Grand Villa, nonetheless – and they gave us a brief rundown of their time there. It sounds amazing!

Steven (in the ears) and Derek – Derek was our presenter and Steven was in charge of trivia and prizes.

We seemed to be leaning towards liking Steven better, so Derek grabbed a pair of ears and tried to win us back.

Derek had asked that every family bring a Disney vacation photo to share with the group and to be entered into a raffle. I thought this was a great addition to the presentation – I loved hearing everyone’s stories!

Near the end of the presentation, Derek tells me that he’s turning the presentation over to me if there’s anything I have to say (I was the back-up liaison for DVC here).

I have nothing prepared, but that doesn’t stop me! I get up, thank people for coming, tell them where lunch is, and then offer to pose for pictures.

And then I pose.

Seriously.

Now, the left half of the room consists of my friends. And the right half of the room consists of people I’ve never met.

So the left side of the room starts snapping photos as I pose. And the right half of the room stares and laughs.

Seriously.

Then Derek gives me something with which to pose.

And we head into the Bay Lake Tower models…

– the bathroom sink in the same gallery as the kitchen – that is an odd design…

We’re trying to organize a group shot – the group kept getting larger and larger as people straggled in from all over the DVC store!

We put Todd up front on the floor – ala Tracy!

Back to the touring – let’s check out the 1 bedroom – a shot of myself in the bathroom mirror.

And into the kitchen. How nice, all my friends hanging out!

And a view out to the balcony.

Todd discovers the tub in the bedroom – and this is where DVC loses control of us. After one of the tub pictures went up on Facebook, Dave Parfitt left a voicemail for Todd - STAY OUT OF THE DAMN TUBS!

We left a voice mail for the podcast team- I have no idea if it went through - we never heard a BEEP! (What can I say, accoustics are not always good in a bathroom!)

Todd asked Robin to marry him -

After we were done remaking the bed, ahem, we headed to Uno’s for lunch.

Present at lunch were quirty30 (Linda) and her kids, Shanan, Todd, Jaime, Jen, Alyssa, Lori, Robin, and Susan (geffric).

Lori and I split a salad and a lobster BLT flatbread – I tried to block out all the pizza on the table. We had a really nice lunch – which was extended due to a torrential downpour!

Thanks to Disney and all the people who attended – it was a ton of fun!

Todd and I headed back to my place and sat and talked – I put on a pot of coffee because I had been having a killer headache for hours now and I thought it might be a lack of caffeine. Meg comes running in at 4:45 and she has to be at work in 15 minutes. She asks Todd what time he’s leaving and he tells her he’s shooting for 5:00 also.

At 9:22, he pulled away!

We had a blast and Todd can come back any time he wants!!!

But I don't think we sounded like fishwives or cackled ,I blame the bathroom accoustics.

Jaime, great trip report as usual!!!

I was reading it at the airport last night while waiting for our flight back home. My DH kept asking who everyone was (at least now he believes me when I say "No honey my friends are not imaginary.")
