UPDATE! Hard to find Cricut cartridges - not as popular anymore?

I live in a medium-sized Canadian city, and there are no local scrap stores in our city anymore, just Michael's and Walmart. Neither of them has Disney cartridges anymore. So, I have been ordering cartridges to deliver to our resort when we are at WDW, over the past few years.

I would like to order Toy Story, Pixar and Classic cartridges, but even on the Internet, I am struggling to find places that have all 3 in stock.

I tried Amazon, and can get 2 of them, but the 3rd one come from another store, that I have never heard of before. Also tried Joanne, and they only have 1 of the carts as well.

I remember a few years ago, there were tons of places online, but not so much anymore. It seems as if the Cricut fad is waning...

Where do you all recommend for carts? Thanks, Tiger

People are annoyed with ProvoCraft. I keep getting advertisements for carts in email from on line sources. Next one I get, i'll post in here.

www.cricutmachine.com probably has them - but DO NOT use your credit card with them directly - pay through paypall or send a check. Many people, not only me, have had their cards hacked by whomever processes cricutmachine's cc payments.

I agree with Linda - have you tried Joann.com or Custom Crops? Last week Joann had their carts on sale for $39.

Looks like www.scrapbookpal.com has all 3 in stock at the moment but Toy Story is $39.99 and the 2 newer Disney carts are $44.99. I've done business with them numerous times and have always gotten great service.

I too have noticed that the stores are carrying the same old carts for crazy prices! I have used cricutmachine before, but agree...do not use a credit card other than a prepaid one.

Other wise, check out Hobby lobby. The stores in my area usually have a decent stock of carts.

Great deals on cartridges on ebay. I always buy them new and in package, and rarely pay over $25.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Busy day yesterday and couldn't get back to the thread.

I won't use EBAY - have never purchased anything on EBAY, and not interested in that. Especially since I need to have them by our vacation arrival, which is in a few weeks.

Hallmark - Emailed to ask about shipping, as they use postal service, and it's a high rate of shipping. Not sure if they can ship to a Disney resort. Emailed yesterday morn, and haven't heard back, so not sure I would do business with an online store that didn't get back to a new customer right away.

I did check out the others listed, and prices are all over the place. I need to get all 3 from same place, as that will make it easier to get package at my resort.

Will check out scrapbook pal!

I also buy from Hallmark Scrapbook quite often. Good prices, fast shipping....I love them.

You might want to call Scrapbookpal and see what they say if you are having them shipped to your resort. They have free shipping on orders over $25 and if you order Mon-Fri in the morning 99% of the time they ship same day. I've only had one occasion when my order didn't go out the same day.

Hallmark - Still hasn't responded to my email, and it's been 2 days now. Unless something is wrong with email, that is way too long for an Internet based business to respond to a customer. Maybe they are on vacation? Not sure...

Scrapbook Pal - I did check them out as well, but still have to contact them and ask about shipping to resort.

Have you checked out cricut.com? Alot of ladies on there would be willing to pick the carts up for you and ship to you. I know I have done that many of times for people on the MB and have made lots of new friends doing so. We have a ACMoore and the west coast doesn't and they have sales and some exclusive items so I pick up and ship out.

I can't find this cartridge without paying a ridiculous price on Ebay.

I wish Provocraft would re-release some of their retired carts!!!

I bought a Disney digital cartridge bundle from cricut.com for $199.99. It included 12 cartridges, including Mickey Font, Mickey & Pals, Toy Story, Pixar, Disney Classic (Peter Pan, Pinocchio), and Disney Princesses. I thought it was a great deal! The only thing it didn't have that I would like is the Disney script font.

Is it just me or does it look like Cricut.com is pushing digital instead of the actual cartridges??

Yes, it does seem that they are pushing their digital cartridges more than the hands on carts.

But they are so expensive.. I'd rather have the hands on cart if I needed one... (I love to refer back to the handbook but don't want to download all of those too)...

If I was going to buy a new machine it wouldn't be another cricut. Provo craft has ruined their own company and they have only themselves to blame.
