UPDATE-Checked in but not there--Pixie Dust not in my Favor but Mother Nature sure is

Well, waitlist never came through. have even been calling on a daily basis once waitlist ended, but Mother Nature sure is coming through for me. We leave tomorrow for WDW and I just checked the forecast and it reads:

"Wednesday: A cold front passes through the state early today. Skies will become mostly sunny and it will be a few degrees cooler.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear and cool.

Thursday: A beautiful sunny day with low humidity.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear.

Friday: Mostly sunny with autumn temperatures.

Friday Night: Mostly clear."


I think I have decided I would rather have Mother Nature on my side than the waitlist pixies. I do have a room a OKW, just wasn't quite where I wanted to be, but it sure won't put a damper on this trip.

I'm sorry about the waitlist, but the weather sounds great! It might not hurt to try again before you checkin at OKW tomorrow, it seems like I have read about some successses at the very last minute with last minute cancellations. At any rate have a great trip, and a nice visit with your son. Don't forget to give us a report when you return.

I think I'm with you on that one. Only 2 days of our waitlist came through so we took the plunge and we're staying at GF for 2 nights. I'm praying for nice autum like weather! I don't mind if its a little bit warm (75) but forget 80's and 90's. Have a wonderful trip!!!

Yes, Mother Nature on your side sounds good. We were at OKW last week and on Friday and Saturday it was hot and humid - even for this southern girl!! Last year we had weather more like you're describing and it was wonderful. Next year we are planning on going a week later.

Well, the trying for BCV before check-in won't work as DS, the lifeguard, went over to OKW this morning before heading to work, and he has already checked us in. The room was ready and he has already been to the room and checked it out for us. We are in Building 45 along the water.

How exciting, already checked in and we haven't even left home for the airport yet.

Will definitely report back, probably will check in while we are down there since we have the laptop.

I am so excited about this trip that I am about to jump out of my skin.

WE were on the ground floor once in building 45. We liked the solitude of the building, but it was a bit of a hike to the bus stop.

DS is on the WDW College Program and is assigned as a lifeguard at Storm-a-Long Bay. He is having a truly grand time on his program.

Diane, not worried about the bus stop. We usually use our own transportation to most locations. Hopefully not being close to it will mean not hearing the squeeling of the brakes of buses.

O.K., checking out for now. Gotta throw those last minute things in the suitcase and head for the airport in a few hours. Will report in during the weekend.
