:( she did it again lol! Just can't imagine forgetting my kids bday, I know the day of the week and time and weight by heart! :confused3 :confused3

UPDATE!!

She made it! She called at 1145pm :rotfl: I guess I was bummed since she is the most caring giving person ever. Like, for 48 years she uses her own money to get cake and stuff each month to celebrate her co-workers bdays of the month. Thats how she is. So I was feeling pretty icky... but hey she made it right! Live and learn! I will be sure to call my kids 1st thing in the am like my mother in law does, so they don't think I forgot all day :rotfl2:

Yep, my whole family forgets mine every year (yes, even the one who birthed me). It's gotten so that I forget it, too. It's actually much more pleasant that way.

But you're right...I can't imagine forgetting my kid's days. I forget everyone else's (except my mother's, strangely), but I'd never forget my kids. It's as ingrained in my memory as the smell of the tops of their heads.

I, fortunately, cannot imagine.

But Happy Birthday nonetheless.

Have some cake, or pie.

Happy Birthday. Maybe she's just not the type to get excited over birthdays. Next time she has one, don't call her or send her a card and see what she says. I think its more important to spend time with those who care about you and your celebrations than dwell on those who aren't interested. Ya, I know its your mom....thats a little sad. Happy Birthday again.

Happy Birthday!

did you ever see the movie 16 candles?! its one of my favs they forget the main characters bday as well

My husband's family always forgets his and my dad never remembers mine or the kids birthdays ever but heavens forbid I do not recognize his- I was late once by a day- had my days mixed up one of those weeks and boy did I hear about that!

My family doesn't remember mine either and hasn't remmebered in years.
That's why it was so special to me to get Birthday wishes from my friends here on the dis.
It really made me feeled loved.

Happy Belated Birthday! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

:goodvibesMy mother usually forgets mine and has for most of my life.:confused3 Thankfully my DH and my two grown children remember. (at least most of the time). My wonderful friends Always remember.:goodvibes
Forget my own kids birthdays!!.....never.

Sounds like DH's family. Our anniversary was last week - nothing! DS6 becomes DS7 on Tuesday, can't wait to see if they forget... We don't care much if they forget our birthdays, but the boys take it pretty hard. We do a lot of 'making up for it' where his family is concerned. :confused3

PS - Happy Belated Birthday!

My Mom and I always were close, and we still are. I always remember her birthday. She almost always forgets my birthday. I am usually mildly hurt, but I will never let her know that. I know she cannot afford to give me a present, but a card, or even a phone call will suffice. My brother's birthday is a few months after mine. A few times in the past she has asked my help to pick up my brother a certain present, usually one that is "shown on TV" , and use my charge card to buy it for her, and then she will pay me back. I usually decline with some excuse.
I feel it will do no particular good to tell her that I've been hurt. My Mom is now 83.

I'm lucky to remember my birthday, nevermind my poor elderly mother remembering it. She and I are just alike. I think of people on their birthday's but don't always get as far as calling them. Rarely do I get to the store to pick up a card on time. But I think of people.... thank God for Facebook. Now I can wish happy birthday on the fly when I am thinking of it, rather than when it's appropriate to call. If I think of them at 5 in the morning I can post a happy birthday wish.

I hope you had a happy birthday, anyway. :bday:

Happy Birthday!!!

Don't feel bad my parents and sister forgot mine last year and it was kind of a big one...sshhh don't tell anyone but I turned 40.
I could not believe they forgot seeing they never have any other year.

They also forget my DH's and my anniversary. Okay I will let them slide on that, I guess after 19+ years you kind of forget your oldest DD has been married that long. But the funnier thing is my in-laws also forget and my DH's sister was married on the same day a year later, so to forget 2 anniversarys in the family is kind of funny.

Just thought I would share.

Hope you had a great birthday!!! :cake:
