 Hi, it was so nice to meet you at MGM...and I saw the picture it was great!! We just got home about 1 hour ago.... :guilty:

Hope you have a wonderful, safe flight! I am so sad to be home :sad2:

Wow!! What a magical vacation! :wizard: I don't think you could have fit one more special moment into your time -- way to go! :thumbsup2
Now, you get to plan next December -- alright! :cool1:

Love your trip report, Denise. Sounds like we followed you guys around for a couple of days last week. We even had a 5:20 ADR at MM the same night as you. It was a great week, weather wise and crowd wise. Sounds like our MNSSHP experiences were similar as well. Love your pictures. Thanks for posting.

Thanks again for the live trip report! It sounds like you all had a wonderful time! Now you can have fun planning your next WDW vacation! :thumbsup2

Day 6: MGM

I will get the last 3 days pictures up tonight.

Slept late again (loving these crowds so we don't have to get up early!) and decided to try our luck at riding in the front of the monorail. Went downstairs in the CR and told the CM we'd like to try to ride. We only had to wait for the next train and we got on! John stayed behind since only 4 can ride. We got to go all the way around Seven Seas Lagoon. The view was incredible. Rees was so happy since the monorail is his favorite. The boys had on their monorail shirts, so it was perfect. The driver gave them Jr. Monorail Pilot licenses, monorail stickers, and a COMPLETE set of monorail cards. They are so cool!

After we finished the ride, we took the bus to MGM. Crowds were low again. We went straight to Indiana Jones (no fastpass machines) and then the Lights Motor Action shows. They were great again. After the show we ate a late lunch at 50's Prime Time. John and I split a meal, and the kids split 2 meals. It was still too much food. Then the CM who arranged our AK parade met us. She is AWESOME! We couldn't walk in front of the Hat today at Univision TV was filming a mariachi band competition. We all went to see the Incredibles and Sully at the Monster's Inc Door. Then we went to see the Beauty and the Beast show. We all got Mickey bars afterwards. DH took the kids to the Villains store while I rode Tower of Terror and RnR! WOW! They were really fun. Then we met one of her CM friends on the way out of the park.
We came back to the CR and went out back to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. You have a great view from the pier or quiet pool out back. We grabbed some snacks and headed back up to the room.

We had another great day!

Day 7: AK and MNSSHP

We wanted to have an easy morning and afternoon today since we knew we'd be up late. Kids voted to go back to AK to play in the Boneyard and DD wanted to ride EE. Took the bus to AK and got there around 1pm. Crowds were light again. Went to the Boneyard and got picked to do a scavenger hunt. We had to count teeth, footprints, find hidden Mickeys, etc. When we were done, the kids got a WDW certificate that declared them Jr. Paleontologist and each got a Dinosaur toy. It was really fun. After an hour or so, DD and I headed to EE to ride. Someone told us that it had been down for 2-3 hours that morning. The wait was only 10 minutes or so. DD and I both loved EE. That is a thrilling ride and FUN~!

Went back to get DH and the boys. Went to eat lunch at the McDonalds Restarauntasaurous. Then we went to catch the bus back to the CR to change clothes for MNSSHP.

Went to the MK at 4:30pm and had no problems walking right in. Got our bracelets for the party and our trick or treat bags. Got our picture taken in front of the Castle in our costumes and then walked to the back of the park for our 5:15pm ADR at LTT. Waited about 5 minutes. Met brendita (DISer) and her son Ramiro at LTT. Dinner was good, but none of us were very hungry. At first, Minnie, Pluto, Chip/Dale, and Goofy were in their regular outfits. The 2nd time they came around they were all wearing their Halloween masks. We got 2 sets of pictures.

After dinner, we walked out and saw they were putting out the MNSSHP shirts. I bought some, and then we met our friends who had moved to FL last year. It was their DDs 6th b'day. We went straight to Splash Mtn and walked right on. Then we headed to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan. Crowds were definitely thicker now. Waited about 10 minutes. Went to Pooh next, but it was shut down. Headed to Toontown, but the crowds were literally wall to wall. Heard the party was sold out. I was quite surprised how crowded it was and that it did sell out. The line for face painting was huge. Our friends went on the Barnstormer. We decided to go to the Indy cars again. Waited about 15 minutes. Then we all met up and went to the Tea Cups and Pooh. The rides were ok for wait times, but the crowds were MASSIVE. Wall to wall, couldn't walk or move. We literally got stuck in Fantasyland for the fireworks. Found a good spot behind the carousel for the kids to sit on the wall. Hallowishes was quite impressive. We loved them. Then we snaked our way to Frontierland to see the parade. Sat right in front of Liberty Belle. It was 5 people thick for the parade. The headless horseman rode, and the parade was wonderful. Loved the Boo To You music.

After the parade we went to the Castle for the Villains show. It was worth waiting for. The characters all came down for a meet and greet after the show. Got pictures with Maleficent (Rees' fave villain!), Frollo, the Snow Queen, Cruella deVille, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts. It was thrilling to meet them up close. Rees was a little scared of Maleficent at first. She reached out and whispered, "I mean you no ill will, my pet" in a perfect voice. Fantastic!

Then we headed back to Toontown to trick or treat. Walked down the Alice Tea Party path and got tons of candy. Walked back down main street to the train station. at 12:30am, the MK was still wall to wall people. I took pictures, and then we headed to the monorail. The CMs were literally giving out handfuls of candy out front.

Came back to the CR, took a shower, and got in bed around 3am after packing. We arranged for a late check out, so we didn't have to check out until 1pm.

Day 8: MK and departure

Got up around 11am and finished packing. Called Bell Services and they came right up and took the luggage to store for us. We had lunch ADRs at Chef Mickey for 12:40pm. Checked in and were seated in about 10 minutes. The food was the same as dinner. Saw Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

After lunch, we rode the monorail to the MK. Something must have been wrong on the monorail line because we kept stopping and it took 40 minutes. Got to the MK and it was PACKED again. We headed straight to Fantasyland. Kids had voted to ride Peter Pan, IASW, and Pooh. Lines were very long, but we had fast passes left over and used them without a problem. Waited about 15 minutes with FP for Peter Pan. IASW was around 20 minutes, and Pooh was 20 with FP. I was so glad we were leaving today and not battling those crowds. On the way out of MK we stopped at the Confectionary and used our remaining snack credits. Anything under $4 was included. DH literally ran the pathway back to the CR to get our luggage ready for the ME bus. Kids and I took the monorail and met him there. We walked right on the ME bus as soon as we got to the CR. Stopped at the Poly before heading to the airport. Checked in at curbside for AirTran and went through security without any problems. Our flight was on-time, and we got to our house around 9pm last night.

We had a fabulous trip and can't wait to go back next year. We all loved the CR. The Tower view is amazing, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else now. We had amazing Pixie Dust during our vacation and will remember it forever.

Hope you all enjoyed the pictures and reading along!

Would have loved to have met you. The food was yummy. I was shocked how crowded MNSSHP was. It was hard to move!

I really enjoyed the live report, thanks again for posting it! I hope you have a safe trip home! Now that you have stayed at all the monorail resorts, which did you like best? Which resort will you be trying for Christmas? I can't wait to read the last 3 days! :bounce:

I think overall our fave is the CR Tower. We are debating the GF or CR for Christmas. The GF was just so magical at that time of year all decorated. Oh, the agony of our decision!;)

I know that you went last year at Christmas time. Which time period (September or December) do you like better?

Thanks,
Kari

They were both wonderful. Sept with low crowds is AWESOME, and it was so much easier to pack for warm weather! But Christmas is just so pretty. I think we will just alternate each year.

Denise,
I just stumbled across your live report! We were in room 4845 on Monday night and I met you out on the balcony taking pictures. I wish I had known you were a fellow Diser and TGMer! We were staying in the north Garden Wing and my DH upgraded for our last night there. That view is so fantastic, it is worth the extra $$$. I'm glad you've had a great trip, we did too. :Pinkbounc
Susan
Susan, that is so funny. I totally remember meeting you. Thanks for moving out of the way so I could get that monorail shot!

Hope you had a great trip too.

Denise - the important question is - did you buy the red t-shirt?????

No, I looked everywhere and even showed the CMs at the Emporium the pictures. No shirt like that. When did you buy yours?

I can't wait to look at the last sets of pictures... especially the MNSSHP costumes and Rees with Malificent! Thanks again for sharing your trip with us! :goodvibes

Welcome back, Denise! I'm so happy to read about your magical trip!! I can't wait to see the pics of Rees and Maleficent. I'm glad to hear that the Boo to You parade was a success as well. Yeah for another Christmas trip next year!!! Off to see if the pictures are up...

Hello Triplefigs just wanted to say Hi and it was nice to meet you. You stopped my husband and me in the lobby of CR by the elevators. Thanks for introducing yourself and your family. We were so excited to be checking in, you must have seen our dazed looks. Hope you had a great time, we did. We stayed in room 4847. This was our magical trip with no kids, I did miss them... sometimes :)
Thanks again
Lynn in IL. Now missing Disney ;)

It must have been at DTD...the only other shopping I did with you was the necklace at MK
