This picture is leaving day in a nutshell...

:scared1: How frightening about the glass! Glad you and the girls are ok!

I just found your new TR and I am hooked! I am still on the Epcot day, but will be coming back to it later. Just wanted to tell you that your girls are adorable Congrats on your new baby on the way!! :goodvibes

so glad you guys are okay!!!!!! how scary! i wish you could've at least gotten the tag off that truck.

You know at the time I was aggreviated... now I realize how lucky we all were. The glass is being replaced tomorrow and the AC got done this morning.... good as new!

Now that is super scary. I hope somehow they find the truck that did that! Are your tires okay? Just think how many people could have driven through that today and got damage.:headache:

I am glad to hear that you are hanging in. Have you begun to move any?

When is you scheduled section? Make SURE to get those support hose before the surgery! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

The tires checked out fine... whichis good. Luke is to come on the 27th... I hope not before. We will see if he stays still that long. What support hose?

Glad you are Ok!

Your last day was so sad! Even though my kids are teens, the last day is so tough. No crying or wailing (except me), but it always gets very quiet.....

Yep... not a fan of the last day.... maybe next time we will hit a park and leave late... maybe that is better:confused3

OMGosh! That is crazy! I'm glad that you and the girls and okay and the van is fixed. Too bad you couldn't get the info. on the truck.

Did you at least get to stop at Kohls? :)

Of course.. got some good boy deals and a few things for Hannah for next summer too. It had to be 80 percent off for me to buy... they still have a lot left!

How frightening!!! I am glad you all are okay, but I SO wish you could have gotten any info from the truck that spewed the glass everywhere!!! It isn't fair when you have to be inconvenienced like that! I bet that REALLY scared the girls!!!

OT--my girlfriend just had her 3rd baby (3rd boy actually) and it was her 3rd c-section--she has HUGE kiddies (10 lbs. 3 ozs.). I went over to see her last night, and it reminded me so much of what it is like recuperating from a c-section. So many little strange aches and pains you never think of!!! I started thinking about you--I know you are getting so close!!! Good luck again with everything--I know it must be old hat to you now, but I will definitely be thinking of you!!!! So wonderful, but having to go through that recuperation again, UGH!!!

I recovered great the first two.... but we have a lot more stairs and two busy girls. So we will see!

:scared1: What a CRAZY,SCARY day! I am so happy to hear you are all OK!:goodvibes

Luckily it is calmer today...

What a pain! I'm glad you guys are okay.

Thanks for answering me about the belt. I searched on Amazon but I am not sure what to search for to find it. I know you are busy right now but when you get the chance can you tell me how you found it?

instructional swim belt.... when I typed in that it gave some options... we have a three modules... I think the other 4 module is for adults?
Let me know if that helps!

Sad sad pic... but a true picture of the feelings we had about leaving.

Thanks for a great TR! :thumbsup2

Thanks for reading... can't wait for your trip!

Thanks for joining in.... I bet you are getting real busy with the wedding plans...any job yet?

When you have surgery they can put support hose on your legs to prevent blood clots. It is a real, really good idea to ask for them. I will be if I have #3. FOR SURE!

Ahhh...I hate to see the end of a TR...makes me sad thinking of it too! But every good trip must come to an end....and yes...I'm asking too...When ARE you going to WDW next?!;) I'm curious as the tenative plan is to bring home a permanent souvenir on our upcoming trip ;) ...but then I don't know when we'll be back as I can't imagine taking an infant...we already post poned our family plans one year when we decided to wait to so we could go back this year!!

Been away for a couple of days and just got caught up again. That picture of Hannah made me say "aaww". She looks so sad. So happy to hear that you made it through the glass shower. That's so scary. How does a company send a truck down the road without a cover over GLASS! Hello doedoe!!!
Anyway, were you able to take advantage of the Kohl's sales? Love that place:love:

I will certainly do this... I am trying not to think of the actual having the baby... just once he is here.

No taking an infant for me.... but how long can I stand holding out.... my parents I know want to go next time, which would be nice to have extra hands... not sure what DH would say... we might have to do a trip where they are there part of the time.

Thanks for reading along!

Yes.. no drama for the next weeks... calm thoughts only.

Of course I spent money at Kohls... but I still think they have a lot left... so the waiting game begins till they mark more down!

How cool that the girls got to be co-pilots on Dumbo, so sweet!

Your scrapbooking pages are really good, I love how you've written little stories :thumbsup2

So glad you're all OK after the glass accident, did insurance cover the cost?

As a matter of fact, the day after you asked if I had a job yet, I got a call to be a 4th grade teacher! Yay! :goodvibes And yes, I am very busy with the wedding plans, but it is so much fun! :goodvibes I cant wait for more of the trip report!

Dumbo co-pilots was just a magical little moment... so sweet. Totally a CM granting magic to two little girls.

Thanks for the compliments on the scrapbook... such a relief to be caught up.

The car is all fixed...however I think the AC is off.... there is a new sound. So calling the dealer tomorrow to see if they can look at it Tuesday.

I imagine my face looks like Hannah's on the last day. It is always sad to be leaving such a magical place. BUT...

... you have a plan to go back! :goodvibes

A plan for in a few years... not any time soon!

How exciting..... I love third grade but 4th is by far the second favorite of mine. I want to go back to fourth again....

The summer is flying by.... to quick!

Final thoughts....
We had a wonderful trip. I will admit that last year's trip to the WL was so great, I am not sure this trip topped it, probably due to the fact I was 28 weeks pregnant. I feel bad saying that I probably enjoyed last year's trip better especially since we won the Dream Fast Passes. That was truly a remarkable moment we won't forget!

POFQ- I was suprisingly pleased at how great this resort was. The theming does nothing for me... not my thing, but the girls loved the alligators and theming... the found it fun. It was a great room location for us and I enjoyed the compactness. The food court did not ever seem crowded and the pool was great for my little girls.... a perfect slide for Em. I am not sure if any other resort slide she would have been able to handle. We could always get good chairs too! I would especially loved the bus situation. We never had to stand.... it was great getting on before POR, well worth it in our situation with little ones. I do however still have a :lovestruc for POR since we have stayed there for our Honeymoon and first trip with Hannah. I bet we will be back there since we will be a party of five, but glad to try POFQ out--- I was not disappointed, nor was it that hard to go from the WL to there. We really feel that we were closer to the Food Court and Pool at POFQ than at WL. That being said.... DH says he wants to go back to the WL. He never complained or said much during the trip, but afterwards he expressed just how much he enjoyed the WL. We missed all the little activities they had for the kids and just that beautiful resort. We will see... a family of five does not fit there!

Going Pregnant- I certainly can tell I went before the 3rd trimester really kicked in, I still had a lot of energy. I am sure I will never drink so much water at WDW ever again.... nor go to as many restrooms. Nor could I have gone commmando park visiting everyday. But all in all I would not deter someone from giving it a go.... we created great memories!

Dining Plan vs No Dining Plan- Due to knowing we wanted to not be overly scheduled the dining plan was not something we wanted this trip. I know we got our $$$ worth with the plan last year... and with those darn surcharges it would have been nice this year. It was a lot of food for us, I doubt we would ever go deluxe DP, but probably would try the regular one again next trip. We do like to have Sitdown meals most days.... but I hate to feel like everything is scheduled around food! The jury is still out on this!

Visiting only 2 parks- This was not as hard as I expected. We had plenty of time at both our favorites and now I feel we will enjoy HS and AK more next trip. No one ever said they missed visiting them. AK is just so hard in the summer heat IMO.... we never last long! Next trip I want to try a later day/evening there, perhaps going in the AM and then leaving and coming back.

I am sad we missed Toy Story Mania.... those pictures look so fun! Next trip for sure!

Favorite meal- Hands down, Cinderella's Castle. It far surpassed my low expectations! The food was really good, the character interaction seemed less rushed than EPCOT's Norway meals and the cost, with the pictures and being prepaid was not that terrible at all. I loved the "show" that goes with the meal too... the wands and wishing stars was so sweet. I will certainly take the girls back there next trip!

10 Favorite Moments- (in no special order)

1. Arriving at WDW via Magical Express. There is nothing better than starting a WDW vacation!

2. Dole Whip- I was not sure what I would think.... but that was sure yummy. I also loved my frozen lemonade slush at EPCOT and my two ice cream chocolate chip sandwiches! It was fun eating for two at WDW!

3. Magic Kingdom Dream Fast Passes- what a great treat these passes were, I just wish I could have used some of them!

4. Emily's kiss from Snow White and her princess moments. She at two had a lot to say to the princesses. It was so fun hearing her ask them questions. I don't think they were expecting it from that little baby face!

5. The fountains- I cannot wait until Luke can get in on the action. It is those small moments of fun that make WDW so great. I am glad my girls appreciate the little fun moments just as much as the big rides and things!

6. Soarin' so glad they let pregnant women on! I love that ride!

7. Emily going down the slide at POFQ! It was so fun to watch!

8. Hannah realizing that we were indeed going to WDW... while her intial reaction stunk... she was so happy to get a trip in that she did not think would happen.

9. Character Connection picture of the gang at EPCOT- I am sure we will never get such an awesome picture again with that many characters. What a special treat!

10. Getting to go two times in less than 12 months. That was a real treat... I won't ever forget our last trip as a family of 4, a special princess trip!

What I wish we had gotten to do-
1. Visit AKL- I wanted to get there. Next trip for sure I want to explore the resort and eat at Boma.

2. Crystal Palace- I want to go there for a before the park opens breakfast at 8:00 to get some empty Main street pictures. We missed eating there this trip, it had left a good impression.

3. Hit HS and AK

Next trip-

I am sure we will not be going to WDW in 2009. I cannot imagine taking a nonwalking baby next summer, and with school summers are our best time to go. I am also okay taking a year off... I don't think we are an every year WDW trip family... there are lots of other places we want to visit, but I doubt I can stay away for more than a year or two.

I am hoping for a summer of 2010 trip, hopefully in August again and staying at the WL. I am pretty sure my parents will join us for a bit of the trip... I know they would love to see the girls in all their WDW glory. I want to for sure go before Luke needs a park ticket or needs to buy meals at the TS restaurants. I think at almost 2, 4.5 and almost 7 would make for fun ages to see WDW!

Meanwhile I will keep reading all the fantastic trip reports on DIS and keeping up to date with all the WDW happenings!

great final thoughts! I was laughing at the statement about not having to stand on the buses b/c of getting picked up before POR... We stood everywhere it seemed...

Thanks for sharing and it was nice "meeting" you, can't wait to hear all about baby Luke when he arrives... don't forgot to post on here so we can all see pictures and hear how it all went!
I don't think we will be back until summer 2010 either...

Good Luck with Luke...
Annette

Maybe reading my TR will change your mind about bringing your new baby next summer??? I guess we will have to wait and see how it goes for me!! ;)

I am so sad your report is over. I loved experiencing everything with your family, your girls are so adorable! I agree with how you feel about taking a non-walking infant to WDW. Might not be the best time!! I think that 2 is a great age though, they are truly amazing by everything they see!!

Don't be a stranger around here! You know my trip is just coming up, you will have to join me for my trip report!!
