Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Just found your trip report can't wait to find out how it went. Count me in.

Thanks for joining in!

Congrats on the news IT'S A BOY!!!!!!! We have two boys ages 8 & 2 They are lots of fun.

It will be fun to see what this little boy likes in terms of Disney.... I am ready to expand beyond princesses.

We actually didn't end up swimming quite as much as I thought we would. We went Saturday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday -- usually in the evenings.

I kept looking for you guys, too :(.

We would have made up for you not being at the pool... we spent a ton of time there!

Good idea :thumbsup2 Water wings are SUCH a hassle! Kids don't even learn how to swim correctly at ALL with them. Water belt... When I have kids someday, I'll remember this name. Good idea!::yes::

She is pretty good for being only two and I attest it to her belt.

Sounds like a great start to a great trip!!! So sad we didn't see you, but I can't wait to hear all about your adventures!!!!! Don't forget to rest up too! Love the pics! Talk again soon! Jen

Looking forward to your report to see what you were up to too...

Even mommy fell asleep... it had been a long day and I wanted to be rested and ready to visit the gang at Chef Mickey's.

So we all woke up about 5ish and showered and changed to go meet Mickey and Friends. The shirts were chosen by Em... she was sure we had to wear Minnie shirts.... and much to her dismay we did not have much to choose from!We also tried to figure out where our Costco water was....Bell Services did not seem to have it when DH called earlier... so I walked to the front desk and they said it would be delivered that evening... it was in the package location????

So about 6 we headed out, wet hair on Hannah and all!

Ears and all to catch a bus. Orginally we thought we would go to MK and then catch the monorail.... but when we walked up to the bus stop, an EPCOT bus was arriving.... so we took it to EPCOT and caught the monorail there! We walked to the station (which I think is far far from the buses with little ones) and there was no one waiting.....

Emily began what seemed to happen all trip... her love of Disney CM. She would entertain and talk and tell them everything! She quickly became friends with the monorail CM who then so sweetly granted a dream... we rode in the front car, or drove the monorail as our girls say. She also had a ring for Hannah which she wore that night and still is wearing around!

It was especially nice since another couple asked if we had asked... which we had not, but the CM said it was taken- so sweet of her! I had not really thought about it until they asked!

So here are our pictures... we got special licenses too!

What a fun ride we had... the CM was even from Ohio, near Cleveland! We then rode to the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfered monorails... and soon we were at the Contemporary! We hit the gift shop for an autograph/photo book after checking in, and the girls got comfy waiting!

And is was about 7:30 when we were seated.. ahead of our ADR time. We had a table right by the dessert bar... deadly for the pregnant lady!

Dinner was really good, I thought the food was much better than last August. I also think we were all hungry this time, which helps. I love the mash potatoes, had a good piece of prime rib and really enjoyed it all.

So of course the girls were super excited to see the gang... Emily was just watching them in the room by us.... so excited, until they came to visit us. Then it was just like last year... hiding and burying heads instead of greeting the gang!

Notice the lean away!

Then came Mickey!

101_0081.jpg

Still wants to see him... just at the next table!

101_0082.jpg

Time to party!
101_0083.jpg

101_0084.jpg

Pretty much shows her reaction... she never warmed up at all to Goofy this trip!

101_0085.jpg

101_0086.jpg

But alas Donald was on his way... mind you Emily absolutely loves ducks... she is obsessed with them, so certainly he will get a warm greeting!

101_0088.jpg

Finally Minnie came... still no Em!

101_0091-1.jpg

And then we started on the dessert bar!

101_0092.jpg

Those oreo desserts are so yummy!

And Hannah so loved making her own sundae!

101_0097.jpg

Em enjoyed every drip of her sundae!

And as the picture shows... a great night for all!

As we finished paying I knew that Hannah and I needed to go to the restroom.... we still had to get back to MK and then bus back to POFQ.... so we went to the bathroom at Chef Mickeys.... and well we did not stay. Someone had just gotten sick, and well my sense of smell as a pregnant lady is heightened, so we high tailed it out! There was a little boy, older than Hannah, running around wild in the restroom too, he almost got in it... his mother had no control he almost took us out! I of course told the hostess lady who met me outside at the top of the stairs (the restroom is downstairs there) and she thanked me and said she would get it taken care of immediately.... this will come into another dining experience later friends!

So it took me a minute or two to feel better... and then we headed to the main lobby area in search of the potty.... where Emily got ran down by the same misbehaving little boy! He completely ran her down as she held our hand... I about lost it, again his mom had no control! Emily was crying and we were all getting tired. Luckily this was our only real terrible child spotting for the trip!

So we went to the bathroom, caught the monorail, quickly caught a bus and were back at POFQ before 10, asleep and dreaming of tomorrow: Our Magic Kingdom Day!

But how crowded would MK be on a Saturday... the Monorail driver urged us to stay out of MK on the weekends!

I have been so bored tonight and I was excited when I saw you updated! Glad you had a nice dinner.

Your daughters are absoluely darling!! I can't wait to see more pictures and hear more about your trip!!

Those pictures had me cracking up! All of our pictures from our character meals look exactly the same. DD was either doing the "lean" or crying in protest when the characters came around! :)

Man, what rude kids! Can't wait to hear about your MK day!

I know that bench at POFQ! :goodvibes

The girls look adorable in their Mickey ears!

Hurray for riding at the front of the Monorail! :yay: It's such a different perspective, isn't it?

Poor Em and those scary characters!

Love the pic of Em and her Mickey oreo bonbon thing -- she's my kinda girl!

It was a much better meal than I expected... I was disappointed in the food there last trip, but know I am glad we went back! It is hard to pass up visiting the entire gang like that!

The monorail was a treat... Hannah told everyone about that when we rode the monorail the rest of the trip.... Emily makes friends with the right people for sure!

Your daughters are so adorable! Brings back so many memories of when my children were little. Loving your report!

They were so fun this trip... it might have been hard for me, but they so had fun!

I've only eaten at Chef Mickey's once for breakfast, in August I will eat there for dinner, cant wait for the desserts! lol

The dessert bar choices are too good, the cookies, oreos, ice cream sundaes... yes I sampled all!

Thanks for joining and all the kind words.

Great update...the pictures are priceless!!! :goodvibes

I think character meals at young ages are too funny... it was really funny to me since it was our first night and they had not seen any yet.

Yes the dreaded lean.... we do improve however;)
That little boy really made me mad... especially when mom saw he ran down Emily and did not even get mad at him then.

I know that bench at POFQ! :goodvibes

They visited that bench a lot... it was Hannah's wait point for Emily and dh. The monorail was neater than I thought, I must admit!

:thumbsup2 Great TR so far. Your girls are sooo adorable and congrats on the baby boy!

Chef Mickeys looks great. I can't wait to take my kiddos there.

Em's reactions to the characters are too funny. Can't wait to see if she softens up to them.

What a great installment! Your pictures of POFQ are making me homesick. It's such a pretty property. I love how Em picked out the outfits to wear and found CMs to talk to everywhere she went. That is beyond adorable.

I am so glad to hear you liked dinner at Chef Mickeys. I made ADRs for us to eat there on the last night of our grand gathering and have been wondering if that was a mistake. You are giving me hope!

I think it's too cute that Em is still shy around the characters. The photos of her reactions are wonderful -- taken at just the right moment!

I can't wait to hear more!

Great installment and pictures!!! The girls are too cute at the restaurant and YEAH for riding in the front!!! You are such a cute pregnant lady!!! :o) Looking forward to your MK day!!! Jen

Welcome back & great start to your trip report :thumbsup2 I am glad you had a great experience at Chef Mickey's (minus the bathroom experience of course). We hope to go to Chef Mickey's one day, just not this trip. I can't wait to hear more!

Thanks for reading along... I think it is a great place to have dinner to start a vacation. It might become a tradition!

POFQ exceeded my expectations. Perfect for us this trip! I am sure Chef Mickey's will be enjoyed. There is a lot to choose from.

Thanks Jen... I am not sure I am all that cute- there are no swim pictures of me, that is for sure! I did not mind being the main photographer this trip!

It was a great first day... no glitches other than Hannah's reaction!

So the surprise wasn't exactly what you were hoping for... You recovered what could have been a grumpy little girl and learned what works best for your kiddos. You gave it the old college try!::yes:: What luck that you were able to hope on a ME bus and head right to wdw. Lucky. lucky! Love the cute pic of you and the girls on the plane (with baby boy in tummy):goodvibes

I really enjoyed POFQ when we stayed. What I enjoyed the most was the smallness of it. It really felt quaint in such large WDW. Did you enjoy some beignets? YUMMO!

What a sweet CM for earmarking the front cab for you guys!:thumbsup2

Also CM is one of my favorite restaurants. I have always had good food and I sooo enjoy the singing and dancing!:cool1: Can't wait to read more. Love the details!::yes::

Oh my goodness, your girls are sooo cute! Love Em's skeptical faces!:rotfl2: Looks like you had a blast at Chef Mickey's! The pics. at POFQ are so cute!:goodvibes

I'm in!!! I didn't realize you had started your TR yet!! SO excited!!

Your girls are cute as ever!!! So good to see your family enjoying Disney again! Can't wait to read more!
