Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

So I got a new camera... really I just got the latest model of the camera I had. I was afraid to get a new brand or something really different. Plus I wanted to use my batteries and charger that I bought a while ago. This way I know what to expect for WDW.

We got the vacation haircuts today... I still need one, but at least DH and the girls are done.... and had fun at the Red's game!

I am feeling a little guilty. I got nothing done for the trip today. I worked outside in the yard... and then we went swimming! Cannot wait for a week fo swimming fun!

:thumbsup2 Maybe he'll be like the girl on that old Disney comercial where she walks to Mickey :worship:

I had forgotten that commercial!

I need some time though... I have a lot to get done packing wise. DH is the packer, but I have to finish collecting all the stuff.

Believe!

Cool about the haircut, the Ulta by us had a deal for $10 off our next haircut ;)

Hey YOU!!! We are TOO close!!! Have a great week!! Hope to talk to you and see you soon!! JUST 5 MORE DAYS!!! Jen Here's to LOTS of pixie dust!!!!

So why do I plan... worry and DIS? Because my dh has decided, 5 days out to have some interest in our plans. So he goes to the Disney website and begins to ask his questions... looking over some schedules of events, what is happening, things at the hotel, and I mentioned he could check out the menus on AllEars....He wants to know where our reservations to eat are! So I nicely tell him as he surfs the web...

some comments from DH:

Why don't we have reservations at LeCellier? That was good last time (my response... we would have had to have made the reservations in December...and remember we planned this in March)

How about that indoor meal... by the Donald ride? (my response...Mexico pavillion you mean... I can call and try) Can't we eat lunch there without a reservation? (:rotfl2: )

How many princess meals? (my response...3 reservations... plan to cancel one) I am not eating three princess meals!

Why are we not eating at the Crystal Palace? (my response...I asked.... you did not tell me you wanted to!)

I do know him... he wants to eat in the AC.... (counter service like Mexico are out... he is not very brave of an eater.... and he likes to repeat places ( Columbia Harbor House, the American Pavillion at EPCOT, Earl of Sandwich)

So yes, I need you all because he drives me crazy.

Tomorrow: must have Hannah try on Snow White dress (she has a new one that should fit better than the ever so small original)

I can relate completely!

I try to tell myself that this is how our men show that they are interested in the trip -- but why is it always after we have planned for months and have tried to get opinions from them beforehand??? :headache:

I don't know if it is just because Tom has such a demanding job, or that he really doesn't care, but I have been very fortunate for him to COMPLETELY not care what we were doing for 3 trips in a row now---okay, minus his mini-tantrum about not wanting to eat at Marrakesh this trip--hence the switch to Akershus. The one jumping in with last minute questions and input has been my dad. (God Bless him!) He said to my brother on Saturday, "Don't you think we should all get together this week for dinner to talk about where we should eat and plan this trip?" HA HA HA HA!!! Oh the naivety of it all!! I know he is in for a world of shock--the last time he was in WDW was 1992, well before ADRs and the DDP came into the picture!!! God help all those who don't get it until the last minute! ;o)

my DH does the SAME THING! i ask for his input through the entire planning process. he ALWAYS says, "i don't care. i trust your judgment." sometimes he even gets aggravated about me asking him. then a week before our vacation we're watching something on TV about disney and it mentions the snorkeling thing at typhoon lagoon and he goes, "ooooohhhhhhh....are we doing that????" :headache: no! i told you about it last year and you didn't seem interested, so i nixed it. MEN! :confused3

Oh man! He needs to get on the Dis! :)

I forced my DH to look at menus this time. Last time we would walk by a restaurant and he would look at the menu and say "You think they could fit us in for lunch". I usually just took off walking (had he not been listening for 6 months?). Anyway, I hope you get everything squared away and your DH is happy. You don't need a Grumpy DH on your trip! KUP!

Good luck trying to find an excuse for Hannah to try on her dress ;)

By the way...

My dad let's me take the planning into my hands! As long as I'm not doing VIP tours or spa packages, he's good. My mom is kinda go with the flow, so I take charge.
When I'm older, this might change. Want a picture of a 14+ year old dragging seniors around a park?
Welcome to my life. :hippie:

I am laughing my you know what off!!!:rotfl2: OMG I think all our husbands are related or something! It must be a male brain thing.... My husband is the exact same way... We have had some interesting conversations this week also... along the line of , "ok I know you have told me a million times, but WHAT IS THE PLAN again" :confused3

Yes there is always one that has some input that they want to give at the least minute who have no clue what is REALLY involved etc.. cute:rotfl2:

soooo close girls !!! This morning I was like next week at this time we should be riding Peter pan (it was about 9:15):)

Totally agree

I think he thinks we can show up and eat... he cannot fathom why I cannot get an earlier dinner at Chef Mickeys.

It is too late... I think he just needs me to repeat that line.

Oh he is Grumpy now... and probably will be... but that is :offtopic: (his mother)

I think I might just leave him at home... except then Hannah can't ride some rides... so I will take him along.

Hey--guess what our tickers are going to say tomorrow??????? 3 Days to Mickey!!! Can you believe it! I have a day filled with Megan's therapy, running errands and such---feels like a "let's get ready for vacation day to me!" I hope your day is a good one tomorrow too! Jen

I have a lot to do in the three days! Nothing is in suitcases. I have stuff to still get out....and I did nothing today except a haircut!

Big day of things to do....

Tomorrow I have a morning Dr. Appt, the errands (got to get Father's Day Cards)then off to school to get some filing done... (I have a ton of papers to put into my reading and writing binders) before my half day of work.

I also need to go and get some more Sunscreen at Costco- good deals on double packs. My mom had to break into my trip supply today when my bottle of spray kind ran out.

Plus I have a church meeting tomorrow night.... which might get shortened so I can get some packing done....

At some point I have a pile of mail/bills to get paid too.

Off to try to get 10-15 minutes of collecting the trip stuff!

I'm crossing my fingers that you will get everything done. I know you can with the goal ahead of you. Can't wait to hear how everything goes!
