(update 08/29 The end) Forget Gaston, There's a New Villian in My Sights

The next day takes us to Animal Kingdom and breakfast at Tusker House! This meal is a must for Miss Victoria. She loves that buffet! I love the character interaction, oh and the pog juice! Love that stuff!!!

I do miss the picture with Donald, though, in the front of the restaurant. OH well. He’s busy. I understand. I still had my picture taken with him!

Look!! I did get some food porn!

After breakfast we begged Victoria to go on the safari with us and she refused and headed onto Hollywood Studios. We’ll catch up to her there. I’m not going to bore you all with safari pics, but let’s just say we had a blast and actually got to see the king himself!

This is the first time I have ever been able to snap a picture of him. Don’t you just want to go up and pet him? I do!!

While Peter sat and had his frozen chocolate banana, I got into the single rider for Everest! Love this ride. It’s got to be one of my favorites even if I was riding with a stranger.

We did try to ride Dinosaur, but it was down and they didn’t know when it would be back up. Bummer!

And that was it for our Animal Kingdom experience! Ugh I wish my family would like this park as I could spend so much time there just walking around!

Everyone needs a PP picture when it's raining.....doesn't everyone. Yes, seeing Space Mountain with the lights on is very very cool. Wish there was a way to see RnR with the lights on.

Rain :(
It sounds like you guys managed to have some fun despite the rain. Riding the PeopleMover endlessly sounds like a nightmare to me ... but I know most people disagree with me on that one. And so cool that you got to see Space Mountain with the lights on!

Sounds like a fun morning at Animal Kingdom. Sorry that you didn't get to spend more time there, but at least you got an awesome lion picture, and that's always special!

Loved the updates! We are in the small group of people who actually LOVE Tony's…I don't get all the hate? And Tusker House is our favorite buffet also! That juice is amazing!

Animal Kingdom grew on me over the years so don't give up hope. They may come around :)

Now, it was on to my FAVORITE character of all…….Gaston. Oh, how I love Gaston!

Gaston is always pretty great. Although, one of our friends was a little less impressed with his chauvinist ways, although of course for him that's being in character XD I guess maybe he just didn't do as great a job reading her as he ought to have, because there are things you can do with some people, and things you just can't, whether you're in character or not. He put his hand on her hip and pulled her right into him when we met him with her, so she wasn't all about that. But it probably didn't help that we were a group of six girls meeting him, and the rest of us were fairly giddy over him. He probably just assumed she was the same.

I get what you mean too, about this particular Gaston. Good looking, but not quite the right look, compared to some others we've met. Unfortunately our favorite Gaston no longer works there.

Our first experience of the day was the Great Movie Ride. I’m not sure how I really feel about this one. I don’t like the new narrator, but I still love all the scenes and I like the new ending sequence.

We have yet to go on GMR with the new narration and ending sequence. Definitely on the list for August!

I love this ride!!!! I wish they had a single rider line

I love Tower of Terror too, and Amber would probably appreciate it having a single rider line as well seeing as I could just get on it with a slightly shorter wait and she wouldn't have to do it :P But I guess with the set up of the ride itself, with the four seats on one side and three on the other, it's pretty good at accommodating all group sizes so there'd hardly ever be a need for a single rider.

The wait for Kylo was about 20 minutes and moved pretty quickly. They have the meet area set up like a spaceship so that was neat.

That's a good wait time! I hear his wait has been pretty reasonable, so I'm looking forward to meeting him without having to wait for hours.

She asked if she should put her arm around him for the picture and the photographer said “I wouldn’t” so that freaked her out even more.

That's really great :rotfl: But I mean, yeah. Put your arm around Kylo Ren? I wouldn't either.

Ooooh that's so cool! Such a neat birthday perk :) And the BB-8 pin, jealous!

I find it really great that Disney can still find ways to add these little special perks for people that are celebrating, even though more and more people will find something to celebrate while at Disney.

AND I WAS THE REBEL SPY!!!!!

Man, what a great day! Somehow, I feel like you probably stepped out of the park being just a 'little' bit more of a Star Wars fan than you were going in :P

Up next was Carousel of Progress followed by a nice walk over to Splash Mountain then Pirates.

Sounds like a great morning ::yes::

Our dinner that evening was at Tony’s. That was a last minute change for our plans and fortunately they had an opening. I love Tony’s. I know it gets some bad reviews, but we love it.

We've never tried Tony's because thus far it just hasn't fit in our plans, but we definitely will some time. We never let bad reviews stop us. Our favorite restaurant at DHS is Mama Melrose and it can get a bit of a bad rep, but we both love it.

Space Mountain with the lights on is always the best perk of the People Mover!

DSCN0614.jpg

Ooh that's a great shot! That darn lazy lion, always up sleeping on that rock.

I got into the single rider for Everest! Love this ride.

I really think Everest is the best coaster at Disney. There's just something about it! Can't wait to try it at night!

And that was it for our Animal Kingdom experience! Ugh I wish my family would like this park as I could spend so much time there just walking around!

I really hope it grows on them at some point for your sake. I can understand not spending more than one day a trip in AK, because you can pretty much get it all done in a day (especially now that the hours are gonna be extended, but then, maybe not as easily once Avatarland opens up). We love AK though, and it has my two favorite shows on property. Especially Festival of the Lion King. I really could watch that one over and over.

Ahhhhh that big, beautiful golf ball!!! Let’s all bask in the gloriousness of it…I’ll wait……
Ok, so now you’ve got to check out the shirts ---
Basking as we speak!! I adore that big ol ball

You wouldn’t believe all the comments Victoria got on her shirt! Hey, people, I’m the one with the birthday here! All she did was graduate high school! C’mon! Some people called Peter Dad as they saw the shirt. It was funny!
Those shirts rock!

Up first was Baymax and I must admit I haven’t seen Big Hero 6 yet. I know, I know, I really need to get around to it. Yep, that’s Peter and his belly right there waiting on us! Peter jokes all the time that his belly has its own zip code. I don’t’ care! I have one too! I still love him will all my heart!
Awwww :lovestruc I've never seen Big Hero 6 either!! Gotta get on that

Up next was Spaceship Earth (you guys would not believe what I just typed! On “ship” replace the “p” with a “t” and you’ll have it. OMG! I make myself laugh! I smiled all pretty for my picture and was looking forward to taking a pic of our tomorrow! Then this happened….
Hahaha! Oh boy!
Uh ohh what happened! You poor thing!
It is a good laugh though lol
Oh look…..the first of many Disney Duck sightings!!! But this time of year we also saw BABIES!!! So freaking cute!
My fav! Disney ducklings are the best
She’s trying to prove how hot it was. Yes, Victoria. The napkin is sticking to your face. That’s some talent right there! Good job!
:rotfl:

Oh look, Victoria has a bagel ring!!! Stunning!
Ooooo a bagel ring! I want one!

This picture is gold!
Peter's face :rotfl2:
So, he started by secretly cursing the sisters when he saw them (yes, I know, he’s not right). He would put his magic band forward and say “curse”. I know it sounds stupid here, but in person it was funny!
:lmao: Oh Peter!
I do believe my husband was happy that my lust for the strapping Frenchman has seemed to fade. It’s okay, babe…I married YOU! I do still have the hots for Singing Gaston at the Beauty & Beast show in Hollywood studios. Anyone know how I could meet HIM!!??? Hubba Hubba!!
Yes yes yes!! Agreed!
Victoria got the ever popular red card!
I swear I attract Red Cards!
She asked if she should put her arm around him for the picture and the photographer said “I wouldn’t” so that freaked her out even more. Kylo really didn’t say too much, but he did notice my shirt and said, “I see you’re with the rebel alliance”. Um, yes, but if you asked me to, Kylo, I’d run away with you. Yes, I know you killed your father, but we all have our own crosses to bare, right?! I am soooo fangirling after him right now. I think for my next trip I’m going to make a shirt that says “Marry Me Kylo Ren”.
I would definitely say this was the absolute highlight of the trip. Hey Gaston……Kylo is now my number one. Sorry, dude!
The big walking carpet was up next! He was cute, but didn’t say anything. He sure was tall, though.
This is greatness....I must meet him now! Victoria's reaction is awesome! I feel like I'd have the same reaction! Please make the shirt, I must see his reaction and I'd be too scared to do it myself
She said that was because it was my birthday. Awee….how freaking sweet was that. She then asked me to wait while she went in the back room. Ok, I’ll wait. She came out with a limited edition, CM only BB-8 pin for my lanyard. OMG!!!!! (I forgot to get a pic) How did I get so lucky??!!! She was amazing and it means sooooo much to me that she would make my day like that! She went way above and beyond! I gave her a big hug for making my day!
Do you think the magic stopped there? Um no! We then went on Star Tours
You are the birthday princess and deserve to be treated as such!! princess:
AND I WAS THE REBEL SPY!!!!! All these years of riding Star Tours and I am the Rebel Spy this time!!!! This was an unbelievable day and if I had to go home right then, I would have been satisfied. Just amazing!!!!!
We had an early dinner at 5pm at Sci-Fi Diner. I know some folks don’t like it, but we all love it! Both Peter and Victoria had pasta and I had the steak. I love steak! I don’t see how people cannot like steak. I think they are cray-cray!
OH MYYY! My life goal is to be the rebel spy!!! And steak at Sci-Fi?!?! Your day is perfect!

Up next was Carousel of Progress followed by a nice walk over to Splash Mountain then Pirates. Ok, was I really kissing a snake here? Um, ok….moving on…..
:stitch2: Snake gooooood!
Yeah, that’s me, the crazy one with her arm sticking out in the pouring rain. I’m not too bright, eh? Oh, and just in case that wasn’t crazy enough….
You sacrificed a dry arm for an awesome picture! Seriously your enthusiasm makes the picture!!!
Again with your enthusiasm making the picture...THIS IS FANTASTIC! You look like so much fun to go to Disney with!:hug:
Our dinner that evening was at Tony’s. That was a last minute change for our plans and fortunately they had an opening. I love Tony’s. I know it gets some bad reviews, but we love it. Our server was amanzing.
I love Tony's too!!
So, what do you do when it’s raining and you don’t want to get soaked? Well, you ride the People Mover over and over until they make you get off (or you just can’t stand it anymore!). Let’s just say we got stuck….on the People Mover…..in the rain……but fortunately it was all under cover so it was actually very fun!
I never knew you could ride this more than once! What do you do, just ask the castmember "Can we stay on?" I'd love to ride in twice in a row!

This is the first time I have ever been able to snap a picture of him. Don’t you just want to go up and pet him? I do!!
I WANNA PET THE KITTY :simba:
Can we talk about the guy behind you?? Is he fake sneezing? Or is that a for-real sneeze? If so, WHOA
And that was it for our Animal Kingdom experience! Ugh I wish my family would like this park as I could spend so much time there just walking around!
Aww I feel bad! I love spending all day here! Maybe when (if) RoL opens they'll wanna hang out longer!!
Btw, breakfast looks so good I may add that to my must-do on my next AK day!

Hi guys!! Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve updated but as some of you know, Victoria, her friend Bryan from the Shetland Islands, and myself went back to Disney from July 6 through the 13th. I’ve also been playing catch up at work and with the office being short 3 agents, it’s been quite busy! But here I am and it’s going to be a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG 293 more days until I get back home! Ugh! So, let’s continue this journey, huh? OK!!!!

Once again we were off to Hollywood Studios as heaven forbid we spend any longer in Animal Kingdom than is necessary! (yes, note the sarcasm!) That’s ok, we all know that HS is Mama’s favorite park! Even more so now that I’m obsessed with Kylo Ren! Our first stop was the Great Movie Ride and we got the beloved Cowboy scene! I’m telling ya, the pixie dust was certainly with me during this trip. I love the cowboy scene! We also got to see Beauty and the Beast on this day. Now, even though Kylo is my number one now, I still love singing Gaston in the show…..Yep, those guns! That voice, oh yeah, he’s now a close second in my lust book!! I would love to meet that actor someday. I think he’s pretty amazing.

There. See? I can take other pictures!

We did some standard stuff ---- you know, the usual and unfortunately we did not visit Launch Pad again as my obsession wasn’t as defined as it is today. OMG!! I am so totally obsessed now, you guys wouldn’t believe it. And it all has to do with my visit with him in July that I will have to tell you guys about. I’m not sure it will be in this trip report or not. Maybe I’ll do a mini one of Bryan’s visit with us. I’m not sure yet. Of course seeing the Star Wars fireworks show in July was absolutely AMAZING!!! Words can’t even describe them, seriously! Oh, let me tell you right here and right now, even though I loved my July visit…..NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO IN JULY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!! It was way too hot (yes, hotter than September or May!) and the freaking tour groups were everywhere. There was only one incident where I spoke up because they were being absolutely rude and cutting in line. Anyways…….

The next day started with our breakfast at O’Hana. I made sure to wear my Lilo shirt and Lilo loved it! She actually took my hand and led me around to different tables showing people that we were twins. I loved it! That was so special!

Breakfast, of course, was wonderful and all the characters were great! Love me some Stitch!!! We were then on our way to Epcot again. This time we concentrated on the World Showcase. Frozen Ever After wasn’t open yet, though. It was in July, but I never got around to it.

Again, I’ve just got to say that the Flower and Garden Festival is just soooo beautiful!!! If ever you get a chance to go down during that time of year, you will not be disappointed! I promise!

OMG!! An actual picture of me!!

I must say we went through the countries pretty quickly. We didn’t stop in all of them, though, so that’s probably why. OH, no I can tell you the REAL reason. IT POURED!! I mean soak your shoes so you are miserable kind of pouring!!! The mariachi band was playing indoors as it was so wet outside!

I did stop at the Outpost and bought a bracelet made out of the recycled park paper! In the pouring rain! I love it and wear it every day.

Yeah, we tried to trooper on until Italy…….I was about done by this point!!! I hate being wet!!

We did get to see the American Adventure and do the Pick a Peal in Japan and after Japan the rain eased up a bit so that we were able to walk without getting soaked.

We did do the good old staple ---- Spaceship Earth! (Thanks to those Phoenicians!!!). Oh, and this time the video was working!!!

Yes, thanks to the lion for posing so nicely for me! Yep, we just managed to continue on in the rain.

Hi Marie! Oh honey....I would sooooooo put my arm around Kylo! An arm, a leg.......ok, I'll stop there! He was even better in July when I walked up to him, bowed and said "MY LORD!" He ate that up and banished Victoria and Bryan to the side and proceeded to talk to me and take pictures with me. Yep! Me? a bigger Star Wars fan now? Just because I now own all 7 movies, a Kylo Ren doll, a Kylo necklace, water bottle, etc.....ME? Nah......:tilt:

Basking as we speak!! I adore that big ol ball!
Those shirts rock! Awwww :lovestruc I've never seen Big Hero 6 either!! Gotta get on that. Hahaha! Oh boy!

Sarah!!!!! Hi girl, hi!!!! Sorry I've been away so long! Oh, I didn't end up making the Marry Me Kylo shirt for July, but my meet was fantastic anyways!! OMG! Did you know they have just Kylo scenes on YouTube that you can watch. I mean, not that I watch those while I'm on the treadmill at the gym or anything.....:ssst: LOL!! Oh, that's another thing that came out of my meeting him in July ---- I LOOKED LIKE A BEACHED WHALE in those photos and I said to myself never again! So, I joined Planet Fitness. What's convenient about that is that it is 2 buildings over from my office and it's 1/2 mile from home. No freaking excuses not to go. Work also has a reimbursement program that will pay for the membership if you go at least 3 times per week for 6 months. That's what I'm planning. I even have Victoria going now as we both could use it. I'm gonna be buff when I meet him again! Ok, so maybe not buff, but being under 200 lbs would be a great achievement for me! I keep wondering what it's going to take for me to lose weight and maybe my obsession with Kylo Ren will do it. Yes, I do know he's a fictional character in a movie, but LET ME LIVE!

I am a lot of fun to go to Disney with!!! If only my family would keep up with me!!! And yes, you just tell the CM on the People Mover that you want to stay on. It's usually not an issue unless it's busy. I'm not sure what the guy behind me was doing. Maybe just playing up for the camera, who knows!

We were there the same week in July for DD's Wish Trip. I can guess which your group cut you off. I was appalled at the behavior of one group that cut us off with DD's wheelchair.

Wasn't the rain crazy? Saturday it poured and poured for hours. I was so glad it stopped in time for the MSEP.

Love reading your trip report update! I cant wait to read about your July trip as well. I leave in 44 days and will be staying at Pop Century with my family a total of 8 of us! I hope to have as much fun as it sounds like you did!!

HELP!!! How can I get a sign of affection during my Kylo Ren meet next year for my 50TH BIRTHDAY???!!!!

Any suggestions welcomed! :stir:

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve updated but as some of you know, Victoria, her friend Bryan from the Shetland Islands, and myself went back to Disney from July 6 through the 13th.

That's a pretty good reason to fall behind in my opinion!

Our first stop was the Great Movie Ride and we got the beloved Cowboy scene! I’m telling ya, the pixie dust was certainly with me during this trip. I love the cowboy scene!

We've only ever gotten the cowboy scene once. Maybe we'll luck out in August. It is cooler than the gangster scene for sure.

I made sure to wear my Lilo shirt and Lilo loved it! She actually took my hand and led me around to different tables showing people that we were twins. I loved it! That was so special!

That's so cute! We've never done 'Ohana breakfast so we've never met Lilo. Someday.

Yeah, we tried to trooper on until Italy…….I was about done by this point!!! I hate being wet!!

I definitely get that. I hate wet clothes, and few things make me more miserable than wet, soggy shoes. We once got stuck in Mitsukoshi for over an hour because of rain. Amber would not set foot in there again the following trip, she was so over it.

Dinner this night was at Garden Grill ---- another family favorite!

Garden Grill Mickey is so cute! He'd probably be my favorite part of the experience. Oh, and you know, the food.

HELP!!! How can I get a sign of affection during my Kylo Ren meet next year for my 50TH BIRTHDAY???!!!!

Probably tell him something dark and twisted :P Although affection coming from him might be breaking character, they're usually pretty good on that. Hopefully you can think of something!

I've been very neglectful of this trip report. It's because we are on our last day and that means the end (for this time! :scared:) Don't you just hate the last day?! I do! Even though we have a late flight back, it always sucks! As usual, our last morning's breakfast is at Chef Mickey's.

It was your typical Chef Mickey meal ---- nothing too special and as always, we enjoyed it.

And I did get a birthday cupcake!!

After breakfast we decided to go back to Disney Springs and roam around. I really do love the new area, even though I don't quite know my way around like I used to. All in all it was a great trip, great weather and a great time being all together.

I hope you enjoyed my report. And yes, we are headed back for May 2017, but I can't book that until seven months out, so that would be in October!!!! See ya all on the boards real soon!!!!
