Being able to take the boat to Disney Springs is the best

We love Wolfgang Puck, though we actually prefer Wolfgang Puck Express, although it's technically a Quick Service. We tried WP Cafe a couple of trips back, and Amber had her usual (the BBQ chicken pizza), which she loooves at WP Express, and she was disappointed by it at the Cafe.

That's really great being so close to a pool and hottub, especially in a quieter location

I was waiting to start this report as my pictures (yes, all 804+ of them not including Photopass) have taken 3 days to upload, then they uploaded to the “Bucket” so I had to bulk move them to the correct album and I didn’t know how to do that at first! (Don’t worry folks, I googled it!). Then my computer decided to upload Windows 10 and THAT took a while, too. I also work 2 jobs and Victoria graduates on the 12th so things are BUSY!!!! But, here I am!!!

Me: Ann, turned 49 on May 11th and celebrated in Disney World!!! I certainly don’t act my age and enjoy letting the inner kid out whenever and wherever it is warranted (which is usually often!) You’ll notice I love to use exclamation points! I work full time for State government collecting child support and part time sales at Party City. Oh, don’t I love that job!! I get to dress up and wear Mickey ears if I want!!! It’s awesome. I had previously worked retail for many, many years before I got the job with the State and I kind of missed it, so here I am. Me and my friend Dale….

Peter is my DH of almost 6 years now. He is a plumbing pro at Lowe’s. He was previously the Service Manager at Val-U-Energy for over 26 years. Long story short, it was too stressful and the new owner was a piece of work, so Peter found a full time job closer to home. He was travelling 2 hours per day back and forth to work, so this is a nice change. He loves working on old cars --- you know the ones prior to having a computer in them that you can tinker with to fix. You should see my yard. Oh, it’s not horrible, but we do have quite a few “projects” hanging around! He’s not a big fan of thrill rides, so it’s usually me and my partner in crime, Victoria. This is Peter waiting outside of (insert name of ride here) while Victoria and I go on it. (hey Sarah, new 2016 pic!!)

Speaking of my Partner in Crime, that would be my 18 year old DD Victoria. She just had her last day of high school today and will be graduating on June 12th. OMG!!! Boy did those years just fly by! She is going to a University here in Maine in September and will be studying Political Science. She’s still unsure of a true major, but she doesn’t have to decide that right off. She is currently working at Staples as a tech and really enjoys it. She will also need to spend this summer practicing to get her driver’s license! Ugh! She just doesn’t want to drive but yet she’ll have to commute to college an hour away! She best start getting on that, huh?! Peter is the only real father she’s ever known. Her bio dad didn’t ever have much to do with her, so for all purposes, Peter is her dad. Yeah! They have a very special relationship! Thank God!!

So, that’s us……

Amazing trip so far! A few things:
I'm sorry you didn't get any of your room requests! For us, we liked our room better without one of our request being made!
Plus for you...basically your own private hot tub, yes please!
I laughed when you mentioned Victoria's adult coloring book and said that sounds x-rated hahaha

Our first full day at Disney!!! Yay!!!! And the plans for the day……..

You wouldn’t believe all the comments Victoria got on her shirt! Hey, people, I’m the one with the birthday here! All she did was graduate high school! C’mon! Some people called Peter Dad as they saw the shirt. It was funny!

The morning started off with us eating breakfast at the resort’s table service restaurant --- Olivia’s. Very nice food and service. Nothing too outstanding, but good. We used the internal shuttle to get there. We’ll be using that shuttle a lot this trip! I liked the theming of Olivia’s --- very nautical.

Epcot itself wasn’t too busy. I noticed an increase in crowd levels towards the end of the week. One of the first things we see was this pair of ears. Oh, yeah. Victoria MUST, WITH NO QUESTION, try on these ears!!

Up first was Baymax and I must admit I haven’t seen Big Hero 6 yet. I know, I know, I really need to get around to it. Yep, that’s Peter and his belly right there waiting on us! Peter jokes all the time that his belly has its own zip code. I don’t’ care! I have one too! I still love him will all my heart!

Then came the 45 minute wait for Joy & Sadness. For those who don’t know, the area to meet these characters is right across the way from the true Character Spot. My goal was to meet all the characters with reasonable wait times. I thought 45 minutes for Joy & Sadness was worth it! Loved that meet. Joy and I had fun jumping and being joyful!

Up next was Spaceship Earth (you guys would not believe what I just typed! On “ship” replace the “p” with a “t” and you’ll have it. OMG! I make myself laugh! I smiled all pretty for my picture and was looking forward to taking a pic of our tomorrow! Then this happened….

Would someone like to tell me what happened here? Why was my chest considered my face? I mean really folks! Too funny!!! Every time we went on SE there was a problem with their video feed or whatever you call it. Our faces (or in my case, my boobs) never even appeared on the big globe at the exit of the ride. Bummer.

Living with the Land was up next and that was as wonderful as ever! I’m really happy we were there during the Flower and Garden festival. They have different kinds of gardens all over and not just in the World Showcase. It was so pretty!

The boat is one of the best things about POR so I knew we would love it here as well! Hmmmm we may have to try Wolfgang Express sometime. I wonder if the pasta will be as good. If it isn’t Victoria will definitely let me know! Oh, the location of the room was absolutely amazing. I will definitely request that room again!

Thanks for the congrats! I’m very proud of her! Now if she can only get her license so she can drive herself to college, we will be all set! LOL!

I don’t know how you haven’t read this yet??!!! You have now so it’s all good!! We ended up loving the room location so to heck with requests anymore! Fate knew what she was doing. Oh, Peter is always bopping her on the head. They have a really special relationship. I’m very lucky!

I was so excited to have Peter see the Flower and Garden festival!! We do tonz of gardens at home and he’s more into it than I am. We went into the butterfly garden and I don’t think he was all that impressed with it. I guess butterflies aren’t his thing. Oh well.

About this time we were all getting hungry and didn’t know what to eat. As some of you may remember my hubby (after 4 years) stated he hates Sunshine Seasons. Unbelievable! Both Victoria and I love it there and he hates it. Who is this man!!?? We threw around a couple of ideas and then said “why don’t we go to POR for their Make your Own Pasta dish”. Sounds like a plan. I think we’ll always have a place in our hearts for POR since our honeymoon was spent there. (yes, with the child!) So, we took a bus over to POR!

After dinner we went back to Epcot and did a couple more things, but we headed out of the park relatively early. I don’t know what it was about this trip, but we were usually back at the resort by 7 or so and in the hot tub (our private hot tub – ok, so not really) every night! Heaven!! MAGIC KINGDOM DAY!!!!!

This morning we had ressies at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends. We were seated at an end table where you don’t have to S.Q.U.E.E.Z.E your way out to get a pic with the characters! Oh thank the Lord! That’s one thing I don’t enjoy about being Pooh sized (that and many other things…..) it’s there’s not usually any personal space in the restaurant for me. Sometimes it gets so frustrating that I don’t even bother to get up to have my picture taken. Sad, I know.

Something really cool happened on it’s a small world ---- I actually got to see the clock open up on the hour! I had never seen that before. Everyone was freaking out that their names were on the Goodbye wall. I think that’s pretty neat how it does that. Oh, I forgot to mention that on Haunted Mansion, the ghost on Victoria’s buggie said “going to Maine”. She freaked out!!! She didn’t know how they did that and she was legitimately upset until I explained. OMG!

Love the updates! The pasta at PoR looks amazing-- part of me wants to try it, but I also know we travel in August. And carb-loading in 100 degree heat doesn't sound so appealing even if the pasta is yummy!!

Your daughter seems like such a joyful person-- what a lovely family you have! Can't wait to read the rest.

Up next was our time with Anna & Elsa. Anna of course was as entertaining as ever and Elsa was regal and refined. It was a nice meet. Although I need to tell you this was the start of Peter cursing the sisters. See he was a huge Maelstrom fan and was very upset to think that Frozen Ever After was going in its place. So, he made a plan. He has lucky trolls on his magic band (because he liked them from his childhood --- long story) anyways, he was pretending that with the help of his magic band (and the trolls) he would be able to curse them. So, he started by secretly cursing the sisters when he saw them (yes, I know, he’s not right). He would put his magic band forward and say “curse”. I know it sounds stupid here, but in person it was funny!

Now, it was on to my FAVORITE character of all…….Gaston. Oh, how I love Gaston! But, although this Gaston had the attitude down, he just wasn’t MY Gaston. I was pretty heartbroken about it because as you all know, I LUSTED AFTER GASTON! Well, I should say the last 2 years of Gaston. This Gaston? Yeah, not so much. Hmmmmm……

I do believe my husband was happy that my lust for the strapping Frenchman has seemed to fade. It’s okay, babe…I married YOU! I do still have the hots for Singing Gaston at the Beauty & Beast show in Hollywood studios. Anyone know how I could meet HIM!!??? Hubba Hubba!!
We didn’t stay in the park too much longer after that. It was back to the resort for the hot tub and pool!!! Yippeeeee!

As we were walking to the bus stop, we discovered it was closed for construction and a temporary bus stop was set up across the street. Ok. I’ve never seen that before so this was another new experience! They had benches and temporary tents set up, so it was still pretty comfortable.

This morning’s breakfast consisted of cereal, milk, and muffins. A nice, quiet, inexpensive breakfast to start the day. I couldn’t wait to be at the park even though there’s a lot of things not operating anymore in HS.

Our first experience of the day was the Great Movie Ride. I’m not sure how I really feel about this one. I don’t like the new narrator, but I still love all the scenes and I like the new ending sequence. Victoria got the ever popular red card!

Visiting the Launch Bay was up next on the agenda. Now I’m not a huge Star Wars fan. The wait for Kylo was about 20 minutes and moved pretty quickly. They have the meet area set up like a spaceship so that was neat. Ok, I need to say it right now ----- I’M IN LOVE WITH KYLO REN!!!! OMG!! I was so totally blown away by his presence. He was intimidating as hell! Everyone on the boards was saying that but I’m thinking how can a guy dressed in a costume be that intimidating. Oh, let’s just say he was. Victoria was in tears (not crying hysterically, but she didn’t know what to do and this girl is 18!!!)

She asked if she should put her arm around him for the picture and the photographer said “I wouldn’t” so that freaked her out even more. Kylo really didn’t say too much, but he did notice my shirt and said, “I see you’re with the rebel alliance”. Um, yes, but if you asked me to, Kylo, I’d run away with you. Yes, I know you killed your father, but we all have our own crosses to bare, right?! I am soooo fangirling after him right now. I think for my next trip I’m going to make a shirt that says “Marry Me Kylo Ren”.
I would definitely say this was the absolute highlight of the trip. Hey Gaston……Kylo is now my number one. Sorry, dude!
The big walking carpet was up next! He was cute, but didn’t say anything. He sure was tall, though.

How could this day get any better??? OMG it did thanks to CM Jennifer at the gift shop where you exited. She was playing with BB8 on the floor and I stopped and watched it for a while. She then noticed my Happy Birthday button. She asked if it was ok if she sang to me. Of course I said yes and she did. She then asked me to come over to the counter and made me this pin for FREE!!!! It says ANN in whatever language they have. So awesome!!

She said that was because it was my birthday. Awee….how freaking sweet was that. She then asked me to wait while she went in the back room. Ok, I’ll wait. She came out with a limited edition, CM only BB-8 pin for my lanyard. OMG!!!!! (I forgot to get a pic) How did I get so lucky??!!! She was amazing and it means sooooo much to me that she would make my day like that! She went way above and beyond! I gave her a big hug for making my day!

AND I WAS THE REBEL SPY!!!!! All these years of riding Star Tours and I am the Rebel Spy this time!!!! This was an unbelievable day and if I had to go home right then, I would have been satisfied. Just amazing!!!!!
We had an early dinner at 5pm at Sci-Fi Diner. I know some folks don’t like it, but we all love it! Both Peter and Victoria had pasta and I had the steak. I love steak! I don’t see how people cannot like steak. I think they are cray-cray!

Dinner was awesome, as usual and on our way out of the park we stopped to meet Olaf! I’m glad Olaf has his own meet and greet now. He’s so cute!

May 17th has us at Magic Kingdom once again! We stopped at Main Street Bakery for some breakfast sandwiches. My goodness it’s crowded in there! We took our sandwiches and drinks and went over to the seating area by the Plaza.

Peter and I decided to head onto Buzz while Victoria went for the People Mover. We said we’d meet up on the Mover once we were done. We got on and every once in a while would pass Victoria until we texted her to tell her to exit the ride and we’d meet her.

Our dinner that evening was at Tony’s. That was a last minute change for our plans and fortunately they had an opening. I love Tony’s. I know it gets some bad reviews, but we love it. Our server was amanzing.
