I agree, except the Target redcard discount is still a lot better than Sams/BJs and lets you pick the number and denominations you want. I'd be shocked if Costco offered more than 5% off.. but here's to hoping for a miracle!

BJs is 4% off the $500 GC. When Chase Freedom does their 5% quarterly (3 month) Cashback on warehouse purchases (it includes GCs), the net savings is 8.8%.
We just time our GC purchases to purchase during that quarter - $456 for a $500GC is a pretty good deal!!

Agreed that Target RC's 5% is good as it covers all denominations, is always valid, & doesn't require a warehouse Membership.....but this is at least one safe option (not ebay, etc) that can save even more

Thanks! I'll have to look into getting a Chase Freedom card. My Costco Visa gives 2% back from warehouse and costco.com purchases so at least that would get stacked if they give 5% on the cards.

Hopefully costco.com offers e-gift cards, too. I always buy the disney e-gift cards from target, which is especially good now that they finally added $200 and $500 options. (Plus you get them quickly, have digital copies stored for you, and save the tiniest bit of plastic. Small victories...)
