Upcoming AKL Visit

My family will be staying at AKV-Jambo House for an upcoming stay. What are the activities that are available at the Lodge in the new year? Any recommendations of what is fun to do there? A couple of the days, we were going to visit other resorts to do some open house tours. Any suggestions on DVC open house tours in regards to which resorts to visit first or even time of day to visit?

Other than things at the pool, nothing else is going on as the lodge is still closed down,

Jambo is beautiful to just walk around and see everything. We were there last month and although the food court and store are closed, the trade off in the minimal people staying there was worth it for us. Have a great trip.

We have a trip to AKL this summer so I've been keeping an eye on activities, etc. that are available. They alternate movies each night at Jambo and Kidani. The pool at Jambo still has races, trivia and music. A few people reported a scavenger hunt in the evening. Community Hall at Kidani is still open although their crafts and activities are less than what was previously offered.

We are also wondering what activities they currently have. We have a 2 night stay at Jambo next week. Does anyone know if they still have the fire going inside the lobby and the firepit outside at night? Thanks.

We walked Jambo a few weeks ago and it’s crazy quiet there not much going on for sure, no kids activities like in the past. It was a bit eerie seeing everything closed. If you want to tour riviera push the DVC button on the room phone and they will set up a time for you. All the other DVC resorts you can go to without a reservation to see the rooms.

They have the wildlife specialists, if that’s what they’re called, to give you information at the savannas. There’s an animal finder guide which kids can try and spot all the animals in the different savannas and check them off.
