I have not been on a cruise for 10 years and I know a lot has changed....

Is there an upcharge for steak and lobster in the dining room on Enchantment of the Seas?

I have been hearing conflicting stories...
one person said you had to pay $37 for surf and turf and then another said that on the night of steak and lobster there was no upcharge?

I was on the Explorer of the Seas early in December and every menu in the main dining room had an up charge for lobster and I think a filet mignon entree. I do not know anyone who ordered it. There was a lobster tail on the menu one night that did not have an extra charge, but there was never filet mignon on the regular menu.

We were just on the Enchantment the week of 12/15 and we did not see any indication that steak and lobster were available, upcharge or not. There was a NY strip on the menu everynight but no mention of lobster anywhere and believe me, I was looking for it :rotfl:

On Royal ships, in general, there is an option in the dining room for what they say is a higher quality steak. There is an additional charge for this. But they do have the normal steak on the menu as well, for no additional charge. For cruises that have two formal nights, the second one is typically the surf and turf night. There is a lobster tail that night for no additional charge.
