up high dog bed

We recently rescued a beautiful chocolate lab who's already the size of a small cow. Vet says she's 7 months and will get pretty big. So, we don't want her used to sleeping in our bed with us (it's only a queen size) but she's a slinky snuggly girl so we want her nearby. I'm looking for some kind of dog bed that's a couple of feet off the ground so she can be up near us. I've searched Petco.com and smart.com but only found them about 7inches up. Anybody have any ideas where I can get one?

We have a king size but THREE dogs, two of them labs so I know where you are coming from! We have an over sized ottoman at the end of the bed and it works very nicely. It is about the same height as the bed but gives us enough room so everyone is happy. We do not have a foot board so I don't know if it would work with one.

Do those of you with dog beds have dogs that actually stay in them? My dog has two dog beds & he still winds up in my bed, the couch, the floor, etc.

When I woke up yesterday, I found DH & the dog (a large German shepherd) in a tangled mess on the couch. I had my bed to myself.

I think there is a rule that we are not able to dispense furbaby advise without pictures!
