We're going to Blizzard Beach for the first time on our upcoming trip. I have a MIL who is totally blind but is always willing to try anything once in spite of it. (She's a real trip... she went parasailing on our last visit!!!)

Anyway, I'm wondering if there's any reason she shouldn't be allowed to try Summit Plummet or any of the other slides as long as someone is at the bottom to assist her when she comes to a stop.

I know most of you have never traveled with an individual who is blind, but can you help me think of pros/cons, please??

oh wow, what a brave MIL.. hahahaha
I would say that she would be able to go on it. What I would do would be to inform the ride op at the top of the slide about it, so they can notifiy the lifeguard at the bottom that someone who is vision impaird is coming down, and there is someone to help them. (but thats what I believe you can do)
But what I would really do is either the day before or the morning you go, (if your staying at a disney resort) is dial 0 on your phone and ask to speek to guest relations at Blizzard Beach, or when you get there ask to speek with someone at the guest relations window about this, and they would be able to give you all the info you need.
