Unusual situation help!

I believe, if you prebook the likes of Mears you can ask for car seats and they will do their best to provide them.

However, if you are wanting to do get taxis as a mode of transport around for the 3 days or so, then I am not sure that can be accommodated. I tend to think it's more for their airport prebooked runs and/or longer day out runs.

I would say buy cheap ones here but I know you are already worried about luggage and managing with children etc (been there myself many a time in the past!), plus it begs the question of what you do with them once you get to a park or day out - you don't really want to carry round all day.

You could possibly look at the inflatable boosters you can get on amazon or a trunki boostapak which doubles up as a child's backpack.

The Lynx 50 bus goes direct to Magic Kingdom (well, to the TTC) from immediately outside of your hotel - no booster seats of any kind required.

Cost is $2, children 6 and under go free. Buses arrive every 20 minutes.

Just walk to the hotel entrance and look for a pink paw print sign. The 50 is the only bus on that route.

You won't need to cross the road on your way to MK but you will need to cross over when you return to the hotel.

The Lynx 50 also stops at Downtown Disney, and, in the opposite direction, will take you to Sea World.

Hi we use www.floridatransport.com and there service is fantastic :thumbsup2

They meet you at the luggage carousel and help you to there vehicle with your baggage, have car seats fitted if you request them and will even stop off at a supermarket if you wish enroute to your accommodation whilst you do a quick shop.

Really hope your DH makes it home in time :scared1:

If you want a taxi we used Diamond Cabs several times this year (we had a 4yo and an 18m old with us) each time I called I said I needed 2 car seats. They usually had a seat for my youngest and a booster for my oldest. Only once they only had one car seat available.

They have a contact is page so you could email and check what they carry as standard :)

I babysit 2 kids and their dad works offshore and he's been stuck for the last few days also because of fog.
He's JUST landed in Aberdeen now, so hopefully your husband is on his way home too *fingers crossed*

Thank you all so much for your efforts and support, I am pleased to say that by the skin of his teeth DH made it home and we will all go to WDW tomorrow as a family. I collected him from Manchester airport at 9.20 last night, where we learned from his offshore mates that the fog had come back in quickly and thickly and that the two helicopters after his never made it and had to turn back to shore. It was a fraught 48 hours and yesterday also involved the craft he should have been going on, breaking down. He was thankfully moved to an alternative flight. Had he not got on the flight he did, we likely wouldn't have seen him until Tuesday. Thank you all again xxx

Oh this is excellent news!
As an Aberdeener myself i know how awful it can be for people getting back from the rigs etc on time!
