Unused Sea World tickets from Groupon

I'm hoping to get some advice. I bought 3 tickets for Sea World from Groupon last month. Today I went online to reserve a day at Discovery Cove. I didn't know that by visiting Discovery Cove, I would also be able to go to Sea World. I have never been to either of these places before. I could really use the $177.00 I spent on those tickets since I had an emergency home repair that had to be taken from our vacation fund.

I already spoke to Sea World and they said that there is nothing they can do. Any ideas? Can I sell them on Craigslist? Does anyone know if they are even aloud to be transferred? I'm leaving Saturday morning so I would have to get something done quickly or just suck it up and move on.

Are they actual tickets or vouchers?? Vouchers would not be able to transfer or sell. They ask for ID when turning in the vouchers. Now I have never done the automated ticket machines so maybe if you sold them the person could redeem them there and be able to use the tickets. If they are actual tickets that have never been used then you could sell them and they could use them. Since they aren't fingerprint verified til first use.

Another option if they don't expire you could just hang on to them and use them for another trip.

They say that they are transferable. I really hope they are.

I forgot to mention that they are vouchers. I just double checked and they definitely are transferrable.

What are the tickets for, exactly? My daughter and I will be visiting Sea World in May.

Unfortunately they are only good till March 31st.

Call groupon customer service explain that you had tickets that included Seaworld and didnt realize it. See if they will cancel transaction and refund your money. Sometimes they will. I have never had bad customer from Groupon and if you are really nice they might do it.

I didn't think of trying that because they said they were non-refundable. I guess it doesn't hurt. I'll give them a call. Thank you.

If I remember correctly, the paid value of Groupons never expire. So logic would say that you could use the paid value of the Groupon toward something else at SeaWorld....if not now, then certainly after those Groupons expire. Are you planning a trip in the future?

I would ask if you can apply the paid value of the Groupons toward the all-day dining (or a tour, or merchandise), and explain to them the circumstances. Definitely worth asking!

We've gone to Disney 3x in in 3 years. I promised my husband that this is it for a while. That's why I'm trying to get in the things that I haven't done yet.

I'm waiting on a reply from Discovery Cove to see if I can use them towards my reservation. If that doesn't work then I'll call back Sea World and see if I can use them for something else at the park. Its better then them going to waste.
