I have a question regarding tickets. I have two 3-day park hoppers that I purchased from LMTClub. My husband might not be able to go with me on our trip starting tomorrow. Can I use his unused hopper to upgrade mine to an annual pass? That way I can make lemonade out of lemons!

I don't think so. I believe you can only use one ticket per upgrade.

ETA: From the Disneyland website:
  • Only one (1) theme park ticket may be applied toward the upgrade to the Annual Passport; tickets may not be combined for an upgrade.

Bummer. The tickets have to be used by December 31 so I was hoping to get credit for the amount spent. I read somewhere that you never lose the value of a ticket, even if it is expired. Does this mean that we would be able to get another park hopper in the future and be credited the amount spent on the unused hopper?

That is my understanding. If you have an annual pass, perhaps your husband will be able to accompany you on a future trip.

I would only get the annual pass if I could use his park hopper to upgrade my park hopper to an annual pass.

You should be able to use the ticket after the expiration date. You'll just have to pay any difference between what you paid and current gate price.

Let me muddy the waters. I have done this in the past. I have used 1 partially used ticket that I used to enter the park, and I used one UNUSED ticket to upgrade to an AP. I believe the about "tickets may not be combined" is meant for used tickets. I would call Disney to verify.
