Unused MVMCP Tickets - Updated Info 11/24/2010 Success!

I have (or think I can find) two unused adult MVMCP tickets from 2008. I never sought a refund for them (when the family members I bought them for couldn't go). I didn't know I could have reused them or ask for money back until Kevin mentioned it on the 11/10/10 show. Does anyone know whether I can now use them for one of this December's parties? Is there a way to find out ahead of time?

Here is the official internal information related to special event ticket. (Bolding added by me)

Special Event tickets (Night of Joy, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, etc) are not upgradeable. These tickets are valid for the date and event listed on the tickets and may not be upgraded or used toward the purchase of other tickets.

My personal opinion is that if an exception is made you will be allowed the value of the 2008 ticket toward the purchase price of the 2010 ticket. And it could only be done at a Guest Relations Office, not a ticket booth or Lobby Concierge.

we tried to get a refund last year for an extra MVMVP ticket we had when a family member backed out. No go. I ended up just giving it away on the boards instead.

I sent an email to WDW.Ticket.Inquiries@disneyworld.com under the theory that it can't hurt to ask.

I was just called by a CM who applied the unused 2008 tickets to two 2010 MVMCP tickets and refunded the balance to my cc.
