Unused but expired ticket disappears from app - normal?

Random question - but I bought a ticket online which never mentioned that it was one of the tickets that expired May 23. It was linked to my account and showed up in the app under my tickets. I'm going tomorrow and was going to apply the cost of that ticket to a new ticket and checked my account and saw the ticket no longer listed. Is that normal for a ticket after and expiration date? I want to make sure there's not some other issue with the ticket.

I'll be in late tonight and was going to try to head to a ticket booth before they close so I don't have to waste time tomorrow but was curious if anyone else knew if this was normal or if I need to start digging up receipts, emails, etc. I did keep a screen shot of the email with the bar code and ticket number luckily.

You're best bet is to probably have a receipt of some type, the more info you provide the easier it will be for the ticket booth CM

I would expect that once a ticket expires (if it has an expiration date) that it would no longer show up in the APP, but that has never happened to me, so hard to say, which is why it's probably better to ask Disney directly, but yeah, if you have receipt they can hopefully work something out with you.

I have 2 from last year that expired in July and were used that are still in my ap. I have tried to delete them with no luck.

OP: how did things go at the booth?

This is a good example of why we suggest that guests take a photo of each ticket with a clear image of the bar code. (Printing a copy of each ticket as an additional back up can also work in case your phone dies.) Keep the photos (and printed copies, if applicable) in a safe place for situations like this. It is very rare for the app to eat your ticket/s, but it has been reported a few times in the past. The photos and printed copies can be a real life saver in these kinds of situations!
