Has anyone done this before? I read about it in Disney Files and was thinking it might be fun. We are kinda picky eaters though so if you've done it is the 4 course meal pretty fancy? Are there choices for the food or just certain courses they will serve for it?

Is it worth the money at $49 for adults? :confused3

Thanks :cloud9:

I know that bobbiwoz just did it the other day (Hi, Bobbi) but I think she's still on vacation. I have it booked for September 28th, but I won't get back from vacation until October 4th, so I'll gladly give a report of it then. I can't wait to do the lunch!

There are only 12 spaces at the lunch so as soon as you decide you need to book it.

Depends on what you mean by picky. Sanaa is great if you love Indian food, food with different tastes and textures...if you are looking for traditional American food with salt and pepper being the most exotic spices then Sanaa is is not for you. If you have had Indian food and like the exotic, go for it.

I haven't done the Untamed lunch, but we ate at Sanaa 3 times on our July trip. We were staying at Kidani and I had some problems with my left leg that left me somewhat immobile. So Sanaa was pretty much our only choice for a few days. My kids and I are also somewhat picky eaters and we loved the food there. The food is nicely and somewhat exotically spiced, but it is not overspiced (though they can kick up the heat for you if you so desire.) I found this blog on Allears that I had read a while back, and it gives a really good description of the food at the Untamed lunch - hopefully it will help you make a decision.

I tried to book this for our November trip, and it was already filled up. I'm watching the 180 days for our May trip, hoping to get in then.

Wow, so it's caught on quickly! I hope you get to do it.

Meriweather has signed us up for the Lunch with an Animator n January, and I hope that's as good!

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. Hi:yay:Simba's Mom, hope you have a great trip! Back to school for me this week!

DH and I did this lunch in Aug. We really enjoyed it! The animal specialist was very personal and knowledgeable. Part of the experience depends on the other guests in your party and whether they ask good questions.

You don't get to order from the menu. Lunch is a sampler. There is the bread service with several types of bread (reminded me of crackers or corn chips)with maybe 8 sauces for dipping They ranged from fruity/sweet to hot/spicy. Then there is a salad sampler (slaw, beet salad, one other I don't remember). You get a small serving of each. Your main course has rice with samples of chicken stew and shrimp. Then there are 3 small desserts as well.

I enjoyed everything. DH is a bit picky (not a fan of veggies, no seafood). He did not like everything but had enough to eat and enjoyed the rest of the experience. He does eat hot/spicy, tho.

I've been looking thru the Disney website to book this and I can't find it anywhere!

Would someone please point me in the right direction?

thanks!!

Here's the thread posted by a CM who's been making reservations for some of us:

You can PM the member named Burnt Toast and see if he's still doing it.

Or, further in the thread, it says to call 407-938-6922, option 3 to book. It's currently offered only on Wednesdays.
