Unsure About Boardwalk Villas’ Pool

The other day, my mom saw that the Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club both had availability for Mid-September. So she comes barging into my room and tells me to pick one. Me, (Still being half-asleep) picks Boardwalk and she gets the room and books it.

Then, when I’m FULLY AWAKE, realize the ONE MAJOR PROBLEM with Boardwalk. Every year when we go, my mom wants everyone to go in the pool at least ONCE during the vacation.

Big problem for me is that I need a zero entry to have no difficulty in getting into the pool. I’ve looked all over and found out that the Boardwalk’s pool doesn’t have a zero entry. (They do have a lift, but I’m more comfortable using the flat entryway.)

IDK what to do.

anyway, either switch resorts or use the lift......find a Disney resort with zero entry. Simple fix my friend.....

Neither Beach Club nor Boardwalk has a zero entry pool. If zero entry is important and you'd like to stay at a deluxe resort, consider Poly, GF or AKL.

Definitely switch resorts if you plan on using the pool.

IIRC the “zero entry” at Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club is in the sandy-bottom area. The sand is very soft and moves under your feet - fun for the little kids but not exactly easy to walk in. My son who has hypotonia and poor balance had a very hard time walking upright in it. We nearly fell over each time getting him in and out of the pool.

If a zero entry pool is very important to you, there are more mobility-friendly ones at AKL, GF, and the Polynesian (Poly pool is usually packed, though.). BW is a great resort though, with plenty to do in addition to the pool. Overall a great choice!

^^ is correct about the BC zero entry. Because of the sand it is not really an accessible zero entry.

I will add that both AKL and WL have zero entry pools.

This is really not that difficult of a decision if you require a zero entry then tell your mom and switch resorts. But the posters are correct due to the sandy bottom BCV is not a true zero entry pool.

We never do the water parks. Hopefully when we go this year, it won’t be too hot for her to wanna go to the pool, or she forgets about it completely.
